Stumbled upon this place for pho and it was solid. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We got the Pho Brisket ($17.95) and Pho Meatballs ($16.95). The pho came out fast and the broth was comparable to my go to spot in Westminster. I only wish they added more meat! Other than that, it was good and satisfied my pho cravings.
After seeing the raving reviews of their garlic noodles, I convinced my husband and our daughter to come dine here with me while we're in the area. We arrived a little before 7pm on a Saturday. We're surprised to see so many Asian restaurants at this location! While the parking lot in the front was packed, we're able to find some empty spots at the back. The inside of the restaurant looked nice and modern. There's no wait and we got seated immediately. It appeared that their tables didn't have designated servers. While we could get help from any server, it could be quite confusing when we got asked the same questions from different people. Service was friendly, anyway. We each ordered a different garlic noodle. I had the Pan Seared Salmon with Garlic Parmesan Cheese sauce. It came with yummy Grilled Cajun Zucchini. The salmon was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside while moist inside. It's tasty on its own even without the delicious garlic parmesan sauce. The noodle was garlicky and flavorful. I had a small piece of my husband's filet mignon beef, and it's pretty good with a kick to it. Our daughter's Sauteed Veggies & Tofu looked good as well, but she said the sauce from the vegetables made her noodles soggy and not as desirable, and she preferred the noodles on our plates better. Our fellow Yelpers didn't disappoint, now we know where to go next time we're craving for garlic noodles.
Been here a few times already and always left full and satisfied. The beef cubes flavor was on point. What made it better was the rice made to perfection that I had even asked for another one to go. They charge me for it but well worth it. The green sauce came with the dish was spicy a bit too spicy for me, but adds great flavor the dish. The pho never misses. The broth is so good with out any additional sauce and the meat melts in your mouth. This location opens late past midnight so makes it not the just the spot to go to when all other restaurants are closed but one that leaves you satisfied, for sure. The service is also great, never had a bad experience. The place is kept clean and simple which makes turning tables over fast. They added more items to their menu now which is perfect for any cravings here.
Soup shop is a gem you must try. It's at a shopping center with other food spot but don't be fooled. If you're in the area and craving PHO this is the spot. First of all it feels like home severs/host definitely made you feel welcomed. Second the food and OMG the PHO was amazingly delicious. The fresh herb and broth definitely hit the spot. And third the Food.
My friend and I recently had a late lunch here to celebrate her birthday. I ordered the shaken beef with garlic noodles, and it was delicious. The steak was cooked medium, very tender, and seasoned perfectly. It paired really well with the garlic noodles, which were simple but flavorful. The dish comes with a side of Peruvian aji sauce, and it was very tasty. My friend also ordered the shaken beef, but with white rice instead of noodles. For appetizers, we ordered the fried pork bao. They were packed with flavor and so good that I would come back just to order them again. The restaurant is small, but very clean. It might be difficult to find seating if you're visiting with a large group. The customer service was okay but could use some improvement. The staff didn't check on us very often during our meal.
I love that there's another late night pho stop close by. Something about pho after 10 pm just hits different. I came here with a group of friends and luckily when we got there, it was not busy but man does that waitlist fill up fast around dinner time. The food came out pretty quickly and to my surprise was very authentic tasting! I wasn't in the mood for meat today so I opted for the vegetable pho with soft tofu and it still hit ... but my friends got the brisket pho and combination and man did it smell good... I'll definitely have to give that a try next time. Around $15 a bowl so still cheaper options out there but I love that it's open late and regardless of price is delicious and authentic
Even though it was hot yesterday, so was craving pho. But I also wanted garlic noodles so I got both with some egg rolls so I could have some leftovers for later. I'm super happy quality and service is still there after a year from my first visit. Place is still super clean and enjoyed the tunes they were playing. I'll be back for sure.

Great late night snack option. They're open until midnight. The food overall is decent. The pho broth was piping hot and had a decent flavor. The meat portions were lacking and we subbed out one protein for another in the combo pho and were charged a Fee for swapping. The pictures looked nothing like the food that was served. Misleading for sure. Service was quick but once you get your order taken thats about it. No water refills, no check, it's you go up to the counter and figure it out. At least its new and modern inside but defintely doesn't give you that authentin pho vibe. There are lots of parking spots out front which is good.
We ordered the combination pho & filet mignon garlic noodles! Both dishes were very delicious!! The service was super fast too - after placing our order it probably took less than 5 mins for our food to come out. Will definitely try more items at this place next time!
A cool place to hangout, a quick bite paired with hot or cold drink, you can never go wrong with the food here from their appetizers, drinks and main entrees. They're quick on the draw and wait lines move as fast as their service. If you want a place for a quick and tasty meal, a refreshing array Of drinks to complement your meal (passion fruit drink or a honey jasmine tea) and appetizers and vegetarian options. A place that is not loud, but delicious food makes the noise, the Soup Shop will be your "go to."
The best late night comfort food! Soup Shop has good food, and they're open late. It's no wonder there's always people waiting for a table outside. We were craving some warm pho on a cold night, and Soup Shop sounded like the perfect spot. The plaza Soup Shop is located in is usually super crowded, but if you go after 9pm when most of the other restaurants and shops are closed, you'll find plenty of parking. Write your name down on the waiting list at the front podium and then wait for your name to be called. They have a few seats to wait right outside the door. Once we were seated, we were given menus. I really like that their menu has a lot of large photos of the dishes, so you know what you're getting! Once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly despite being busy. For appetizers, we ordered the Crunchy Pork "Bao" since it sounded unique. Inside the bao is pork shoulder, mushroom, Vietnamese sausage, and quail egg. The outside has a thin, perfectly crispy layer that gives a nice little crunch when you bite into it. Really enjoyed these and would recommend! We also got the Crusted Parmesan Cauliflower. Not sure what's in the sauce, but it's sweet, tangy, and delicious! It's also topped with fried onion, cilantro, cucumber, and parmesan cheese. Also a winner! For entrees, we got the Chicken Pho and the Pho Ribeye. For the chicken Pho, you can get it with thigh or breast meat. I got it with breast meat, and they gave a good amount of meat! A little dry, but I appreciated that it was nice and lean. The flavor of the soup is really good. Pho Ribeye was also tasty! Hit the spot.
"Souper" hyped-up Asian soup spot with long lines that probably is more hype than substance. Went early on a weekday evening to grab some dinner. Figure to beat the large crowds that show up later at night. Was sat immediately - service was very attentive. Ended up ordering the pho combination. It came out fairly quickly and was pretty decent - a little pricier than other spots I like though. Think overall it's pretty good - I do appreciate that it is open late night, so perhaps I'd give it 5 stars if I ended up hungry for a late snack and came back to a similar quality meal, but having to navigate the crowds - was hoping for amazing soup.

I'm updating my previous review because our most recent visit unfortunately changed my overall impression of this place. I've always liked this spot as a late-night eatery, and the food itself is still good, the broth is flavorful, and the noodles and other dishes have generally been enjoyable. That's why I was especially disappointed by how our most recent visit was handled. We arrived around midnight and put our name on the waitlist. There were a few parties ahead of us, and around 12:30 AM, the host came out and explained that at that point, seating was no longer guaranteed, despite the restaurant being scheduled to close at 1:30 AM. We decided to continue waiting and were eventually seated around 1:00 AM. We ordered immediately, and our food came out shortly afterward around 1:15 AM. At exactly 1:30 AM, while we were still finishing our meal, our server came over and said that they were closing and asked if we wanted boxes for the remaining food. Technically, it was phrased as a reminder and an offer to provide boxes for our food, but the implication was very clear: we needed to leave. That was what made the situation particularly uncomfortable. We completely understood that the restaurant was closing and had no intention of staying past closing to socialize or linger. We were literally still eating the food we had just ordered around 1:15 AM. We had only been seated for about 30 minutes, ordered immediately, and were already nearly finished when the server approached us. We had also already paid our bill. The timing just left an awkward feeling. If the restaurant closes at 1:30 AM and customers who are seated close to closing are expected to be completely finished and out by that time, I think that should be communicated before seating them. It would have allowed us to decide whether waiting until 1:00 AM was worthwhile. I also understand that employees need to finish their shifts and close the restaurant on time, and I respect that. My issue is more with the overall communication and the way the situation was handled. Being seated at 1:00 AM, ordering immediately, receiving our food around 1:15 AM, and then essentially being told at 1:30 AM that it was time to leave made the experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. This isn't a review based on the food, the food is still good. It's about the overall experience and customer service during this particular visit. Unfortunately, what should have been a nice late night meal ended with an awkward feeling that stayed with us after we left. Because of this experience, I can no longer give this location the five stars I previously gave it. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, because I do think the situation could have been handled much more smoothly and with clearer communication upfront. read more
Considering the reviews, the food was somewhat below expectations, while still being fine. I had the filet mignon garlic noodles. I just found it overall a bit aggressive and over seasoned, with not a lot of layers or subtleties in taste, which is usually a sign to me that the cook is substituting salty strong flavors in the place of more depth of flavors. So it's kind of like catering to a lower common denominator and that approach may satisfy many, without anyone really being impressed by the result. But perhaps expecting subtle refined flavors is too high a bar for a chain type of Asian food place - maybe. While I did like the noodles and the sauce, the filet mignon entree portion was something more along the lines of what I'd find/expect at a Panda Express. Which isn't terrible, as I like Panda, but I just expected more with the high rating. The place is clean and modern and seemed newer, but the overall vibe was more impersonal, quick-serve, corporate. If someone wanted to meet and eat here, I'd be fine with it. But I also wouldn't go out of my way to eat here or necessarily suggest it if I were meeting a friend out for lunch. read more

Parking is wild on a Friday night, but the service is great. Ambiance is great. Food is great. The hot honey jasmine tea was warming and perfectly sweet. Crunchy bao is probs my favorite thing at The Soup Shop. It's a delicious fried bao with a crispy outside and soft inside filled with pork and an egg. So good! Combination pho with no tripe, extra tendon is my go-to. Very filling. Of all the Soup Shops this is my fave location. read more

Having recently visited Soup Shop's location in Irvine, I found myself visiting their Cerritos location as well! As is standard, I ordered the Pho Combination with Rib Bone. Like all the other Soup Shop locations that I've been to, the pho is great! Great noodles, fantastic broth, and excellent meat. As usual, really well made. Service was good. There was a bit of a line when we got here, but nothing too crazy. Food came out pretty quickly as well. Glad Soup Shop is expanding their footprint so significantly. A welcome addition to the Cerritos food scene! read more
Parking: This place is located inside of a plaza. Parking can get crazy during peak hours. Be careful when you are walking in the parking lot, especially at night. I've seen people almost get run over because the parking game can get fierce. Pho Ribeye: Soup flavor is on the lighter side compared to other places I've had. They gave a hefty amount of noodles, meat and veggies. I would say the ratio was pretty good. The initial noodles I got in the bowl was softer than I expected. However the extra noodles I got were cooked perfectly. Inside: There is only indoor seating with booth and table options. Hours: They open Monday- Sunday from 11AM to 1:30 AM. Overall: it's a good place to get pho if you're in the area. The staff was friendly and the service was very fast. If you are not into pho they also have a lot of other incredible rice, pasta, dessert and drink options. PSA - They have COMPLIMENTARY NOODLE REFILLS for dine in only per pho entree/person. That means FREEEEE! So come hungry and cash in on that! read more
First time trying pho. Family recommended this spot so we gave it a try. There was a wait, but not long. Customers came and new ones were in their place right away. Menu had many options. I ordered the combination minus the tendon and tripe. I don't care for the meatball; texture was too processed. Broth was good and ample noodles and toppings were provided. Service was fast and helpful when ordering. Restaurant was clean and tables were busses as soon as patrons left. Fair price for what we received. I'd visit again. read more

Soup shop is one of my favorite late night pho locations. The food is always good, I typically get the pho brisket but today I got their combination. It was good but I am more of a fan of their brisket. My friends and I also ordered the cajun garlic fries for the table and they were delicious. It came with a sauce which was a great surprise, very light spice but it was delicious. My personal favorite item of the day was their passion fruit juice. It was very refreshing, definitely stole the show for me. Overall the food is delicious and pretty consistent. Their service is also great, the workers are very nice and efficient. They do a great job at keeping the restaurant looking great. The ambiance is also nice it's very cute and cozy. This location is great to keep a note of when you're craving some pho especially late at night when most locations tend to be closed. read more

Absolutely delicious pho! Was in the area, remembered how good takeout was from here last time, and decided to dine in. It was easy to get a table on a Monday afternoon around 3pm--thankfully it wasn't too busy yet. Soup Shop has what I consider a more modern take on Vietnamese cuisine, offering more than just pho, even if that's what they're known for. They have garlic noodles, rice plates, and a great drink menu too, if you're in the mood for something lighter than pho. Their entree soups also come with one free noodle refill! You never find that anywhere else. I ordered a pho combination, while my partner ordered a pho with wok-seared filet mignon and bell peppers. Both were super delicious, and the flavorful soups had their own distinct flavors. I liked the broth for the filet mignon pho just a bit more, felt more concentrated and rich. Service was good, even with a small staff. Restaurant was very clean too, which is a plus. The parking lot can get crowded with a lot of busy businesses next door, so keep that in mind if coming during peak hours. Highlights recommended! read more

Wow - we were so pleasantly surprised by our decision to have a late dinner at Soup Shop. We aren't often in this area, so we're not familiar with the dining scene here, but when deciding between this restaurant and another one in the plaza, what persuaded us was a woman who saw us deciding and she said "pick this one, you won't regret it" - and she was right! There was no line when we arrived but within 10 min of us getting seated, the line outside was sooo long. Good business for them! Onto the important stuff - we ordered the pho combo and the chicken pho (with beef broth), and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The chicken, in particular, was so tender and juicy. So good. My husband also got multiple servings of extra noodles - always a nice offer to include. Service was kind and quick, especially when they have so many tables and additional guests to tend to. The restaurant looked clean. We'll be back when we find ourselves in Cerritos! read more

Came here with my husband since the weather has been chilly and was craving some pho. We had to wait for about 30-45 minutes to get seated. We ended up ordering the pho ribeye which comes with unlimited noodles (they usually bring it out to you when you've eaten throughout your soup and when you ask your server). In addition, we also ordered the garlic noodles with shaken beef which was chefs kiss. The garlic noodles were very garlicky and buttery and the shaken beef was cooked medium rare which was tender and soft and paired well with their green dipping sauce. It almost reminded me like a lomo saltado if you pair it with fries and a side of rice. Would definitely come back and recommend this place since they also open really late! read more
After a long day of travel and a much later hotel check-in than planned, my husband and I went searching for late-night food in Cerritos. We browsed a few options before landing on The Soup Shop, and I am so grateful we did. This spot is a true late-night treasure. Even though it was a busy Friday night and trust me, we are not usually out that late the place ran like a well-oiled machine. Packed, lively, but impressively efficient. Quick seating, smooth ordering, and dishes arriving faster than we expected. They really know how to keep a crowd happy. Now, let's talk about the food because this place delivered moment after moment of delight. I started with the Crunchy Pork Bao with a quail egg inside (my first time ever trying one) and it was such a unique, sweet-savory surprise. The textures were incredible: crisp on the outside, warm and melty inside, with that tiny quail egg giving the whole bite a fun twist. My taste buds were buzzing. My husband ordered the Combination Pho, and the broth was unbelievably rich and deeply developed. And the best part? Unlimited noodles. We were way too full to take advantage, but what an amazing perk for pho lovers. I went for the Shaken Filet Mignon with Garlic Noodles plus a side of crispy fried tofu. Hands down, the best garlic noodles I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, perfectly coated, perfectly garlicky. The filet mignon was fork-tender, buttery, and beautifully seasoned. And somehow, both the pho and the noodles tasted even better the next morning, always the sign of a great kitchen. For drinks, my husband chose the Green Thai Tea, which was refreshing and phenomenal, and I fell in love with the Fresh Cucumber Limeade, bright, crisp, and exactly what I didn't know I needed. The atmosphere was warm, the service was kind and attentive, and I never once had to ask for a water refill, they were already ahead of me. The Soup Shop is absolutely it. Late-night friendly, flavor-packed, beautifully run, and full of standout dishes. We'll definitely be back next time with even more room in our stomachs! read more
On my way back after a long flight and found this opening late pho joint near Cerritos mall. I was a little skeptical that there would be a decent pho place near a mall, but I was pleasantly surprised. At 10pm and the place was still packed and lively yet pretty clean. As for the Pho, the broth was clear, tasty, and hot, which is perfect and soothing for a late night meal. read more
Clean broth with little oil. Perfectly hit the spot on lunch. Got combination pho with the rare steak on the side, crispy egg rolls, extra onion w/ vinegar. Workers were nice and quick. It had been a while since my last visit, but with the rain coming down today, a bowl of pho sounded perfect. I stopped by Soup Shop and was immediately reminded why this place stays busy. The restaurant was completely packed when I walked in, and there was a short waitlist. I was second in line, but despite having only two people working the front, they moved efficiently and had tables cleaned and bills settled within about 15 minutes. Once I sat down, service was quick and on point. My order was taken right away, and my bowl of pho arrived in under five minutes. The broth was piping hot and rich in flavor. The noodles were al dente, and the meat was sliced at the perfect thickness. What really sets this place apart is the generous serving of vegetables. A lot of pho spots skimp on the herbs and greens, but Soup Shop does not hold back. The interior is nicely decorated: simple, modern, and clean. The warm lighting is comfortable and easy on the eyes, creating a relaxed atmosphere without feeling dim. It is the kind of setting that works perfectly for a quick lunch without feeling rushed or harsh. Fast service, great broth, and generous portions all around. Soup Shop remains one of the most reliable and satisfying pho options in Cerritos, and I will definitely be returning the next time the weather calls for something warm and comforting. read more

Out of all the businesses that exist in this small plaza in Cerritos, Soup Shop has to be one of the best. Walking up to the front of the restaurant, I felt a little uncomfortable because there were so many people waiting for a table outside. I put name down for two and was told it would be a 25 minute wait but didn't even end up waiting the whole 25, they had the table ready pretty quick. After sitting down, we both ordered our pho and the food was out in less than ten minutes. I had the combination and my friend ordered the oxtail with a bone on the side. They were both amazing. Considering the price you pay, which most of the pho bowls here are over 15$, the portion makes it absolutely worth it. On top of that, you get unlimited noodle refills to eat with your soup. I have never had this before at any pho restaurant but it was a welcome change haha. Our server was also very accommodating. He brought me a glass of hot water because I didn't want ice water and he also checked on us repeatedly to make sure we were doing okay. read more

Came right at opening and the place got busy pretty quickly for a Tuesday. Loved the ambiance, very relaxing. Service was great, staff constantly staying busy yet attentive. Food was fantastic. Garlic fries w/ shaken filet mignon was probably the best I've ever had. Generous portions of pho. Strong but delicious Vietnamese iced coffee. For 2x brisket pho, filet mignon fries + 1 coffee, total came out to $64 before tip. read more

Found this place on Yelp and it is located in a large plaza with several great eateries. We arrived before they even opened but they welcome us in. We ordered Jasmine Milk Tea and Cucumber Limeade and one Pork Bao to share. The Bao filling was amazing and the crust was very flaky and yummy. We both ordered Garlic Noodles, one with Shaken Beef, Filet Mignon and one with Baby Back Ribs. Wow!! So good. Wait staff was great and accommodating. Our only complaint is that the napkin dispenser is at the table but the napkins are so small that you end up using several of them while eating!! Love, love, love how this restaurant is open late! Sometimes, I want a hearty meal that has rice and soup at night. So I am super glad that I stumbled upon this gem! Service was fast and servers were quite attentive even though it was busy. I like how the menu also has illustrations for each item-- such a well thought out menu for visuals. The foods and drink came out around the same time. The broth of the pho was seasoned perfectly and the filet mignon with the rice plate was also cooked to the right texture. Crispy egg rolls were also on point. The jasmine honey green tea with sea salt cream was soooo good and this is coming from someone who loves iced teas and milk teas! Location is easy to find with a lot of parking. We went pretty late around midnight. The waitlist went by super fast. Employees here are really friendly, and service here is quick! It's very clean and spacious here, and very busy for good reason too! The pho was phenomenal! The broth was delicious by itself. We were a party of 5 and we devoured our bowls. Honestly, probably some of the best pho I've ever had. I highly recommend this place! read more

I came here after a basketball game since they are open late. The brisket pho had good broth and lots of meat but little noodles. I felt like I was eating more onion slices than I had of noodles. The shrimp fried rice had zero flavor and lots of peas. Do not recommend this dish, usually the fried rice is a safe choice. read more
