Pho 99 Plus in Los Alamitos is one of our favorite spots, especially for their vegan options. Their vegan pho comes with tofu and tons of veggies, and yes, the broth is truly vegan (and worth having even on a warm day!). We also love their banh mi and freshie rolls, both available with tofu, a huge plus for plant-based eaters! The sandwich bread is crunchy outside, soft inside. UPDATE: Finally got that chance to claim that free chicken pho to replace the I ordered that did not have the chicken. I called the order in and the gentleman that took the call knew about the replacement -even if it was awhile back when I made that first order. He said he was going to get my order done straight away. I arrived and my order was ready -and still hot. Also, the man who took my order said he threw in a more pieces of chicken to make up for last time. Super appreciated that! All done eating now and it was delicious -there was also a nice little container of some garlic chili sauce which was yummy. Did not seat to eat but restaurant and lot were empty on 5:30pm Sunday. I've been waiting for more than 30 minutes for ordering Togo. I think they forgot my order because they came out to ask what I was waiting for. Keep in mind a group of 9 people were being served while I ordered. I ordered pho with egg noodle. They came out later to tell me they don't have that...30 minutes later. Used to live in Cypress so we had a place we'd go to all the time. Finally decided it was time to find a place closer to where we live now. Walked in to Pho99 and could not of been more happy that we did!! Small place, pho is amazing!! Really hit the spot! Owner came out and showed us all the sauces to add. Wife loved that their chili paste didn't have her needing to call a fire truck. Portion size was bigger than our old place, so I get 2 meals out of it. Spent about $50 which to me isn't a lot especially when the food was delicious. When the food started coming out, I didn't expect the sandwich to be filled and big for $12. It was full of flavor and when the pho came out, it was flavorful as well. I had ordered extra noodles for the kids to eat on its own and Michelle offered free broth for the kids (we didn't need it but it was a nice gesture to offer).
