Solid. Staff is polite and price is solid. $10 for medium size pho brisket. Restaurant seemed clean and quick service. Only con was the pho broth had too much oil compared to other places. Otherwise, not bad.

My dad was craving pho so we decided to try a new place and landed at MT Tien Trung! It's a Sunday night, the place is small, pretty quiet with several to-go orders. It's tucked away in a small plaza behind Twisty Treats on Jones Rd. There was only one family dining when we walked in and no one was at the counter, so we helped ourselves to some menus and sat down...finally a lady came to grab our order. Be prepared to wait quite awhile for your food...we waited awhile and they were not busy at all inside the restaurant, just alot of to-go orders... We ordered Soda Chanh, 2x orders of egg rolls (2pc each), 3x Pho Tai, and 2x grilled pork rice plates. The restaurant was very clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating and I really appreciated that the waters were filtered and each water had thinly sliced lime in it. The plates were all good quality, and the ingredients were super fresh and clean. No withered lettuce, or soggy tomatoes or cucumbers. The eggrolls were deliciously crispy and a good size, not too big or bulky. The pho broth was good but a bit oily/greasy and the grilled pork rice plate was not really grilled but rather stir fried so I was slightly disappointed for not getting the grilled taste... Overall this place was pretty good, and I'll def be coming back

broth so good... Amazing place..... The cleanest bathroom please keep it that way thank you thousand blessings " the pho ga"

Thank you for the service always timed well on how we walk in and everything bra no joke bulla

This was the worst food I have ever tasted. It's like they gave me the worst food they had in the kitchen. And I spent over 30.00 for this.

The Food her was OLD and STALE!!! Not sure what type of meat they gave me but it was fresh at all.

Thai D4. Thai Iced Tea P1. Ph Special MT/ FREE Passion Fruit Juice

This place is delicious & affordable! Friday night I came and enjoyed their P1 Special! I got the Thai Tea & Beef Pho, in the restaurant the P1 is a dollar cheaper. The Thai tea is incredibly rich & flavorful, the pho had an amazing flavor! Although the only thing I didn't care for was the beef tendon (but it does add flavor) . I enjoyed it so much I came back Saturday night! Sadly I don't think I'll be coming to Houston any time soon! Definitely worth a shot if you're in town.

First time trying this place. It was on a weekday so business was slow. The employees were kind and provided good service. Grilled pork banh mi: it was ok. Too sweet to my liking. I'm not really a big fan of sweet meat so it wasn't for me but I'm sure those that do like sweet meat would like it. Pork egg roll: Good. it's an egg roll...what can I say. I've never had a terrible tasting egg roll. *knock on wood lol Bone marrow Soup: omg this was amazing!! I even took some home and ate it the next day! It was even better then!! This soup made up for the banh mi that I have been craving for weeks. Lol The menu is small but the prices are decent. All in all, I would definitely come back for more bone marrow soup. Yum!!

I am a big fan of pho, my brothers and I go out to eat pho often, about every other week or about every 3 weeks. Sometimes we have some picky eaters with us or we are in a different area at the moment. The first we came here I was getting ice cream nearby with my youngest brother and I happened to notice a pho place in the same parking lot. My youngest brother is a HUGE fan of lemonade, he always gets lemonade everywhere we go, and he told me by far this was the best lemonade he has had anywhere- which is a huge compliment from him. As far as the pho goes, it's incredible. Amazing broth, good meat, good noodles. The service is good, the music is good. There are a decent amount of menu options, which makes eating with picky eater easier because they have the banh mi.

However, my waiter and even the kitchen staff made up for that hiccup with their wonderful attitudes and service! As always, love the broadway decor and music- plus the tables and chairs set the nostalgia. It's a small and cozy place that can get packed around peak hours. I got the beef curry udon with a side of tonkatsu. The tonkatsu was tender and crunchy and made an excellent addition to the soft and creamy udon. The curry was one of my favorites I've tried so far, a generous, flavorful helping that wasn't overly salty or spicy. They also gave a good amount of tender sliced beef as well. Not many restaurants in Houston offer Takowasa, which is marinated raw octopus with wasabi; and when we find one that does, it's our must order for appetizers. We also ordered the chicken karaage and agedashi tofu. The karaage was juicy and slightly larger than the size of popcorn chicken. The tofu was soft and lightly battered, however the downside is that it gets soggy quickly since it's sitting in the sauce rather than on the side. For our entrees, we got the carbonara, curry tonkatsu rice, niku tama ankake, and kakuni udon. The carbonara was nice and creamy. The curry rice tastes exactly like the Japanese box curry. The niku tama is more of a thicker soup base similar to egg drop soup, however has a more slightly sweet umami flavor. The kakuni udon had a lighter broth with braised pork belly. The service was a bit slow here, but we didn't mind it too much. The interior had a cute traditional Japanese style decor. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and we'll be back to try other udons.

Wow! Just... wow…read more Loved this place from the moment I walked in! Ambiance was super fun and welcoming. The tubs of ice filled with cold drinks all around as you approach the counter was casual and fun. And the staff was welcoming and friendly. The menu had so much variety, without being overwhelming. Anything from a good pazole, to a brisket Rueben, to an American Italian sandwich! I got the báhn mì sandwich, which was bursting with flavor! The pork was seasoned well and had good flavor from the marinade. The cilantro, pickled onions, jalapeno, all were so fresh and vibrant! And I was able to get homemade chips and fresh strawberries as my side - such a refreshing bite the strawberries after a rich, porky, spicy bite from the sandwich. Can't say enough good! Loved this place and would go back in a heartbeat!

A big part of the decades long success at Local Foods has been their commitment to consistency…read more Their casual setting with excellent service is one thing, but quality executed food that is simple and seasonal will always go a long way. Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.
