The first time I went here it was ok, had just opened so it was a little hectic. The second time kinda solidified what I thought, which was that their food is really not very good. My Mongolian beef lunch was mostly onion and very little beef. I also got their won ton soup which was horrible cuz the won tons were all ( and I do mean ALL) dough and about a quarter teaspoon of meat inside. The food was excellent. Now the best pho in New Braunfels. The garnish ingredients for the pho were basil, sprouts, and jalapeño. Should have also included onion and cilantro. You can get a half sweet/half unsweet ice tea with lemon, which is usually not the case in pho restaurants. Service was adequate, but a little spotty. They are new, so this will likely improve. They offered "to go" cups of ice tea, which I consider to be very nice. Clearly enunciate what you want, and use the item number. The restaurant was very clean with the usual decor for this type of establishment. We will absolutely be returning. read more

Yes, the food was delicious and very Vietnamese tasting. If there would be any complaints it would be that it has a small dining area. So, if you are planning on dinning in, make sure you have considered beforehand a possible wait for a table. read more

Pho NA is so dysfunctional and understaffed resulting in a lower quality of service compared to the place they broke away from Pho NB, which is highly regarded. Admittedly the place was busy and with only having two servers during dinner (and 1-2 during daytime hours) our order was not promptly taken. Then about 30 minutes later while our server was hustling from table to table he stopped by and asked us if he already took our order, like really? After waiting patiently even longer, we noticed that two tables who arrived after us received their food before us, that's when I was really concerned so I approached the server and quietly inquired about the status of our order. I observed him tap on their iPad, select our table, press another button and our order came out of the printer. He grabbed the printout and made no attempt to tell me anything, he quickly walked right past me into the kitchen without any explanation or communication. A few seconds later he came back out with a bowl of pho, walked right past me again, went to our table and handed it over to my wife, he literally left me standing there without saying a word. The lack of transparency was extremely disappointing. I went back to our table to sit down and less than 5 minutes later the cook arrived with my vermicelli bowl. When I asked her why the delay, she informed me that our order had not been received in the kitchen. It took nearly an hour from the time we arrived to start eating and all we ordered was pho and a vermicelli bowl, these take less than 5 minutes to prepare. Other guests around us also expressed their dissatisfaction. One gentleman left without waiting any longer, and another lady had to request menus after being seated for a while. We have visited this restaurant on other occasions during the day and experienced similar issues with service and wait times. While the food quality is ok, it is not exceptional. Regrettably, we have decided not to return to this establishment as Pho NB remains our preferred choice for Vietnamese cuisine in New Braunfels. Good luck if you decide to go. read more

I really contemplated not leaving this review. I honestly feel bad for them. This was our 2nd and last try at Pho Na. We were hopeful and wanted to be on board with the great reviews they've received. The reviews are good so I am really confused by the food we have been served here. It is sad how unappealing their food is. We had the cold summer roll with shrimp and pork. The rice paper wrap was dried out and inedible. This was like trying to chew leather that was made out of rubber (see photo). We pulled the noodles, veggies, shrimp, and pork out. There was a little cilantro too but it was almost all thick stems with very few little leaves hanging on (again see photo). The pork was gray and chewy. The noodles were warm but ok. Shrimp was good- as I ate it I did think to myself that it probably was not the best idea... but I was hungry so I ate it. My mom had the childrens portion of Pho with thin beef. No little side dish of fresh sprouts, jalapeño slices, lime, and cilantro. No little side-dish of anything. Just a few chopped green onions and those cilantro stems, sprinkled in with the nice hot broth, and a good portion of noodles. It was edible but I would not recommend if you enjoy fresh meat and veggies with your pho. Graying beef, with a pathetic attempt at garnishes. It was a sad looking bowl of soup. I usually talk her out of a few spoonfuls of that amazing broth but Pho Nah, was more like it. Nah, I'll pass. I ordered the V2, the Vermicelli with grilled pork and Vietnamese Rolls. It came about 15 minutes after my mom's Pho. I will admit the first couple bites were not so bad. The noodles were good and the grilled pork had a nice flavor. I did wonder why it was all so oddly room temperature. I expected something in my bowl to be freshly cooked. But it was all that same strange room temp. Not too cold, not hot or even warm. It was just blah. Then I popped a chunk of the fried spring roll in my mouth... I chew and chew and then UGHH.. I spit it out into my hand! Ughhh, I look at my mom- ew! What was that!? It was mushy, soggy, cold, mealy, and tasted like a dirty wet dog smells! Gross! Then when I tell the lady and firmly tell her I can not eat this. She asked if I will order something else, no I will not. I was turned off 100% and not at all interested in trying anything else. So, she just stands there giving me this look. Looking at my bowl and back at me. Looking at me like I have somehow offended her. I calmly said I did not know what she was looking at me for. I did not do this (pointing at the crap she served me) You did this. I do not want anything else from the kitchen, thank you. It was really yucky and I love all Vietnamese food. Pho Na is not a place I will ever go to again. I gave them two stars cuz the little man that works in there was sweet. And they were working so hard... I am sorry it is so bad. I hope if you give them a try it is better for you. read more

This review s not about the staff because in my personal experience they all work hard to do their best. I'm also writing this review so Pho NA Will improve because it's in my neighborhood and I don't have drive to Austin. (Please!) It's not their fault the food is mediocre or pretentious. Restaurant sign says Vietnamese not Chinese, Japanese,Korean cuisine. Once you've had close to real Vietnamese food, this place will disappoint. read more

The food was very good. Mongolian beef was tender and has some spice to it. The Pho combination was huge, and well worth the extra few dollars. Small clean and cozy dining area, and the food is sooo good. Their pho is authentic tasting, so yummy and they put generous amounts of beef in your bowl :) They have so many other plate options and they're all freshly made and taste great! Service is amazing too, everyone is so nice. read more
