Moving from Boston, I found home at Pho Na! The P1 broth is pure nostalgia--tastes just like my grandma's. Easily top 5 in the area.

Found a gem in New Braunfels! Just tried Pho Na and it's officially in my Top 5. I got the P1 Combination with beef, tendon, and meatballs. The broth is incredible--it has that homemade taste that reminds me of eating with my grandma back in Boston. I assembled it at home so I could get the broth boiling hot and add my own chili oil. The only thing missing for me was tripe and shrimp to make it a true 'Special,' but the flavor is 10/10. Highly recommend if you need a nostalgic, comforting meal!

It's hard to find a good Pho place in New Braunfels. It's amazing to have a found a new place. It was a Monday so the dining room was a slower side however the take out never slowed down. I got the Thai tea and Ted got the jasmine tea. Both drinks were delicious. For an appetizer we got the A7 which was potstickers fried such delicious. For the main entree we'd got pho P10 which came with pork wonton and sliced pork. The pho hit the spot! There was 2 servers both very helpful and getting refills, service was fast and easy. Will definitely be back!

Came with the family after seeing good reviews for Pho Na. We ordered a bunch of different things, ranging from pho to orange chicken. All the food was hot, fresh and delicious. The only thing we weren't a fan of was the fried rice. Service was quick and staff was nice. No complaints at all! Would come back.

This is how my pho came for the To-go order. It was not in a bowl and it I couldn't eat it until I got home. I go down to new Braunfels for my daughter's specialized doctor appointments and sit in the car while she is seen. The owner reached out and said that if you tell them you want to eat in your car, they can do that for you. The normal way they package it is great for bringing it home and putting it in your own bowl. This was more like a Pho Make it your own it. While this wasn't the best experience for me, I think that it was pretty kind of the owner to reach out to make things right and that's rare. I've updated my review based on their kindness and also the food was good once I put it together in a dish at my house. Ultimately, you will get great service when you come here - be careful to let them know how you wish to eat it.

This restaurant is consistently mediocre. It's close to my home so I tend to go there on a last resort. After half a year of my last bad experience I figured if this place is still in business, the food must have improved. I was far from correct. I ordered to go. Was told it would be 25 minutes. I showed up right on time and had to wait an additional 15 after I had paid. I couldn't even walk away. They had me committed. I shrugged that off and was excited to eat my dinner at home with my wife. We ordered General Tso with a side order of Crab Rangoon. The chicken was stringy, hard and sharp with tons of breading and the goons had no cheese! You need to see the pics below. I don't like giving bad reviews but this one is to warn fellow customers not to be fooled like I was. I am sure they have good pho but be warned about ordering anything else!!!!!

Love coming here. The food always smells looks and taste delicious. The service is always very good. it's usually quiet and probably not the best spot for a group of more than six people unless you don't mind sitting at different tables.

Barely any meat in the pho when taken to-go. the soup is not your typical pho, it was a weird variant and maybe i am unfamiliar with this style of pho, but it was truly disappointing. The serving size was so small for $20 per pho and it was $8 for 2 crummy spring rolls that had one shrimp cut in half for each spring roll. The other reviewer that said the peanut sauce was wack, was correct. it was not the normal sauce, it was some weird oil with peanut butter bits floating in it. The crab rangoons were not bad. I just really would not recommend this to someone who really loves pho." - I said this a month ago and took it down because the owner called to harass me questioning why I left a bad review. She called me 2-3 times at 9-10pm at night trying to get ahold of me. She left a voicemail saying she wanted to talk in person and explain to me the purpose of "tax" and "having to pay for bills." At this point I was scared and removed my review but let me just say, if I could leave 0 stars, I would.

We started we boba and it was decent for the price it was. We then ordered the shaken beef and it was nothing like owner photos which is misleading customers. The shaken beef had tiny nubs of poor quality beef, over 70% was veggies and it was sauced as if it was broccoli beef. It tasted okay at best but please don't market this as shaken beef. My wife ordered lemon grass beef vermicelli noodles they hosed the lemongrass after cooking it was unpleasant to eat as well. Maybe we messed up and should have got Pho? But why have subpar dishes in your restaurant... Oh last thing they have robots that bring out food from the kitchen but the waitress follows it and then serves you. It was awkward and unnecessary. Focus on good food and you'll have happy customers.

I've been here multiple times and tried quite a bit off the menu: baos, bánh mì, bun bo hue, vermicelli, lo mein, pad thai, General Tso's, and rice plates. Everything has been typically solid, though nothing particularly standout. The flavors overall are a bit on the mild side, especially in the soups and meats, but the variety makes it a good choice if you're dining with a group or just want a casual, no-frills meal. It's kind of a "jack of all trades" menu with Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese options. One thing I do appreciate: they're very accommodating with substitutions and custom orders, and the service is always friendly. It can run a bit slow if the place is busy, but nothing unreasonable. Overall, not a destination spot, but a good local option when you want something convenient, comforting, and customizable.

We arrived at 4pm to meet my parents and the place was maybe a third full, happy with noise. It took a while to have anyone acknowledge our arrival and then another wait to have our drink orders taken and menus brought. Another wait for food orders and that's when three of us found out they were out of bread so the banh mi selections were not going to happen and we needed a minute to recalibrate. Ma and I noticed different things about the new menus. She felt they had a better (she even called it fancy) explanation of the dishes; I noticed the menu had been Americanized in a manner one might expect for Seguin. For instance, you won't find the words bánh mì anymore, they're just listed as sandwiches. There was only one employee on the floor tending all the tables, and she was doing her best. The food's still very tasty when it does arrive, which is why I'm still OK with it despite a couple rough spots. Mr R had his usual bun (giant bowl of rice vermicelli) which looked beautiful. Both my Midwestern parents chose chicken fried rice when their chicken sandwiches were unavailable--only ma took her leftovers home but they both said it was tasty and truth is the servings were sizeable. I went rogue and chose beef skewers off the appetizer menu, and they were delicious! The skewers came nicely presented and impressively charred. The beef was sliced thin and ribboned on skewers--since I wasn't sharing with anyone I ate them right off the stick and only made a bit of a mess on my shirt. The sauce was perfect and every bite tender excepting pleasurable little crispy edges here and there. Two guys came out front for a smoke break when a lull arrived and the remaining tables (including us) had been served. I assume it was the owner who came to check on everyone and apologize for the unusual wait as they were understaffed. I snuck Mr R a fifty which paid for most of the tab at the counter. When Mr R added the remainder and said to keep the change, he said the owner handed the entire tip straight to the waitress which was nice to hear. Seguin's not a town of adventurous eating so I hope this place keeps doing what it needs to survive and the kitchen keeps serving up the good stuff. If next time it's won back a star or two, I'll be thrilled to bits.

After landing in San Antonio yesterday to kick off my summer vacation, the very first thing I did…read moretoday was ask my friend to bring me back to this restaurant. The reason is simple: we ate here two years ago, and it left such a great impression on us that we had been looking forward to coming back ever since. Fortunately, not much has changed in terms of either the quality or the overall presentation of the food. Everything is still delicious, especially the Pho Combo. To be honest, it's far better than most of the pho we've had in Germany. That doesn't mean the pho in Germany is bad--it simply means this place matches my personal taste much better. As for the downsides, they're almost exactly the same as before. Parking is still a major challenge, and I understand that's probably not something the restaurant can easily fix. We also tried calling ahead to reserve a table, but they don't take reservations, whether you're coming with a group of 5-7 people or just 2-3 people. We arrived at 6:45 PM and still had to wait about 40 minutes before being seated, which was honestly quite inconvenient. Coincidentally, there was live music tonight, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, the sound system wasn't very good, so it was difficult to hear what the singers were performing. Then again, this isn't really the type of venue where people come specifically to enjoy live music, so most diners didn't seem to pay much attention to it. One thing I did notice was that either the kitchen has made a few changes over the past two years, or perhaps my own taste has changed a little. The food felt slightly saltier than I remembered, and the pho broth was richer and creamier. While that added some depth of flavor, it was a bit too rich for my liking, to the point where finishing the entire bowl of broth felt a little overwhelming. The braised short ribs were incredibly tender--so tender that a knife was almost unnecessary, and they could easily be pulled apart with just a fork. While many people would probably see that as a positive, I actually missed the slightly firmer, meatier texture I remembered from my last visit. That said, these are relatively minor issues. The quality may have dipped just a little compared to our previous visit, but this is still an excellent restaurant. If they can fine-tune those small details, it would easily return to being one of my favorite places. There's a good chance we'll stop by one more time before heading back to Germany.

Is it that time of year for another 1618 update? Absolutely…read more After my umpteenth visit, I think it's safe to say I've worked my way through almost the entire menu (minus a few noodle, chicken & vegetarian dishes). My 2025 review still stands, but after so many visits, I've noticed a few items haven't been good as they used to, particularly the chicken wings (and yes, all three of them). The Garlic Wings haven't been hitting quite the same. They've started to taste a little dry, and the saucier wings taste better the next day since they don't have time to steep through once served. The Filet Mignon Pepper Steak is still my favorite dish on the menu, but I still can't justify ordering it family-style anymore. It's delicious, but the portion just doesn't match the price. One of the newest additions--the Truffle Fried Rice is spectacular. It's light, not overpowering with truffle, and the fish eggs really adds the perfect little pop of texture/flavor. I don't think I breathed the entire time I scarfed it down!! 1618 is still one of my favorite restaurants in Austin of all time, but I think it's time for the menu to elevate a bit and dive deeper into less mainstream Asian cuisine. If anyone can do it, 1618 can.
