UPDATE: Matt from their team reached out and clarified the misunderstanding, the employee was jokingly apologizing for the ugly spring rolls (they weren't ugly) and the joke didn't land quite right when a customer has no idea what to expect and gets a weird message with no context on their food. The team was extremely apologetic and I have changed the review as it was a genuine misunderstanding that was quickly clarified. (Employee was given feedback that messages on takeout boxes probably should be less ominous and serial-killery in the future, haha) As I mentioned previously, the food has always been great and I am 100% comfortable with returning in the future after seeing how this entire situation was handled. We did have an extremely bizarre encounter today, and unfortunately after this I do not think we will be coming back. We ordered pickup food (spring rolls, pho x2) over the phone for pickup. Phone order went fine, the gentleman over the phone was pleasant and ordering went without any hiccups. We picked up the food and drove home, and upon arriving home and unpacking the food, found that someone had written "my sympathies brother" on the lid of our spring rolls (picture attached). This was immediately bizarre, and frankly slightly concerning and off-putting especially during COVID. We weren't sure if this was a message from BOH that food was off, tampered with, etc., or just a simple prank. Anyways, we called back not to ask for money back, but just to alert the restaurant with a "hey, someone in your kitchen or staff may be playing weird pranks on your customers". I was met with a "ok, thanks" and then promptly hung up on. Regardless to say, the food seemed fine, but getting an odd message and then lukewarm response after we called to tell the staff made us extremely wary of ever returning, which is a shame. The food has always been very good, but honestly I definitely felt extremely anxious and lost my appetite trying to figure out why there was such a weird note on our food regardless of whether it was a harmless prank or not. A hit but also a miss. Food wise. Enjoyed our pho. Good broth, on the sweeter side with good flavor. Tender delicious combination meats. Combination rice plate was where the miss took place. It had great sausage. Pork however was overcooked and dry. After being asked by the server, she helpfully offered to take it back to replace it. When the replacement came out, a half plate came out replacing exactly what was taken out back. We ate the egg, sausage and one out of two pieces of meat. So a "new plate" of 1 small meat and rice came out, a smaller piece of meat that went back to the kitchen too. A reluctant replacement it seems. I rather the replacement did not take place. I had my food taken away with a promise of making up for the miss, but a half hearted attempt is disappointing. No discount in the end too. The meal thankfully ended on a positive note. The signature crepe simply awesome. Hope their service will improve. A little generosity can go further than holding back a piece of meat and an egg. read more

My large family visited Pho Noodle station and were immediately greeted with a smile. We decided to just do an appetizer based meal together - so I guess this isn't a review of pho, but we genuinely loved every appetizer we had - which was something like 7 or 8 different foods. Honestly, I think this place is a hidden gem for good Vietnamese food. The vibe is definitely more catered to a younger crowd with the hip decor and Spotify's top 50 songs in the background but the food is surprisingly good. The Vietnamese coffee at this place is a joke. Don't get it. Everything else was just OK. The rolls -- meh -- OK. The soup was OK. Service was provided by a Chinese waitress, who didn't know all answers. We'll give her an OK too. The problem is: Nothing was GREAT. You can do a lot better for Pho in Naperville. Pho Thien is one. I really want to like this place. In the past year I have eaten there five times. Their food has improved quite a bit since they opened, but there is always something off. Their spring rolls and egg rolls are always good, which is a good sign because those items are often skimped on by some places. Their pho is hit and miss. I once had an excellent bowl of seafood pho there, but the second time it tasted watered down. There beef pho seems a little watered down when I had it. Most recently we had bun, cold noodles, see the pics. When it first came out I was excited because it looked really good. But all we got for seasoning was some fish sauce and peanuts. I was shocked and asked if they had a sauce - usual it is something like fish sauce, chilis, lemon or lime, and some sugar. They told me they only had fish sauce. What the heck. That is like ordering spaghetti and finding out the sauce is just tomato paste, no garlic, no basil, no anything. It really ruined the meal and made me wonder what was going on in the kitchen. It was fantastic when it was first opened and our go to pho place around Naperville. Maybe due to staff or chef change, the food quality has deteriorated drastically. The pho is still great but the rest of the menu is sub-par. The interior and furniture have also deteriorated over time. This is a cute little restaurant, but definitely needs cleaning. The restrooms are unkept and sort ruined my appetite. You can tell they're not cleaned consistently or at least on a daily basis. The dispenser of soy sauce on our table had caked on sauce running down the bottle. All of the condiments were more than half empty. I ordered the Vegetarian Pho and asked for chicken broth instead of vegetable broth. They still gave me vegetable broth which was lacking flavor. I ended up taking it to go and doctoring up the broth myself the next day for lunch. The best thing we order was the Crab Rangoon which was fried, so you can't really give them much credit for that since almost everything taste better fried. Not sure if I'll come back... Food good, service not as much Recently I went to two separate locations for Pho Noodle Station. I'm not sure if it's the same ownership or a chain, but my experience was different at both. First I went to the Downers Grove location and you can see my review on that, and then went to the Aurora location near the Fox Valley Mall. The location near the mall is on the opposite side of New York next to the new Asian market called Park and Shop. It's also near the Best Buy and Value City Furniture. At the Aurora location I ordered the Sugar Milk Tea which is their best or recommended bubble tea. When I took a sip it was warm, and I think bubble tea is supposed to be cold or even frozen, so I sent it back. We ordered other drinks which we had to keep reminding them to bring. My main issue with this location is that no one working there was really nice or courteous as you would expect, and certainly didn't compare to the service at the Downers Grove location. I won't even talk about the food as it was good and I have no complaints. If the food wasn't good I would be giving less than 4 stars. So, I deducted 1 star for less than par service but I think the food was good so I do recommend trying it. read more

I heard that a new pho place opened by Fox Valley Mall from a coworker and decided to check it out. I'm glad that this plaza in Aurora is getting more traffic. Being from the suburbs myself, I'm always looking forward to new 'asian' businesses. I can't wait till the Park To Shop Marketplace opens up as that will definitely bring in more people into the area as well. Pho Noodle Station consists of a main restaurant, and 3 other smaller businesses located inside. You can get crepes, thai rolled ice cream, and even tea drinks after you've had your pho! Pretty cool! Being new and just opened - there were a lot of problems I've noticed they need to work on. Being understaffed is number one. We were seated pretty quickly, but that's because someone saw us walking in. I noticed people that came in after just sat themselves because everyone was so busy with orders and other things. We had 3 servers help us with our order and it made things pretty confusing. One of them, a women - kept running around throughout the restaurant. After observing her for a while, she looked very stressed and flustered. Being a customer, it doesn't make me feel good seeing that happen. It makes me think that coming here was a bad idea - that I should have gone elsewhere cause these workers are freaking out and need more training. Just relax and calm down, as understanding customers we can wait - you don't need to run around rushing things especially since you just opened. I ordered a dragon fruit tea upon arriving, along with our appetizer and pho orders. These were taken by 2 different servers. We got our summer rolls with no utensils so we just used our hands. There was also one plate that was given to us so we just shared it. Usually each person would have their own plate, correct?? It was when we finished the rolls that a different women server noticed and gave us utensils. The pho broth was pretty good but some things to work on, wish there was more tripe in mine. There was barely any. The brisket was delicious and I did not care for the round-eye steak. Too bad there wasn't a pho that just had brisket and tripe haha! We noticed other tables had a jug full of water for self-refilling and we did not...so our waters weren't refilled. I'm also not used to only having a small square plate of bean sprouts and basil to be shared. Usually this would be abundant in other pho restaurants so that seemed skimpy to me. The dragon fruit tea I ordered at the beginning didn't come till I was halfway done with my pho. I'll just take all these issues I have as being a newly opened restaurant. Positives: very affordable prices and I like the decor of the interior. It's very modern and hip. However, their bathrooms are a different story. There was a sign to be careful because it was wet, and yes both toilet stalls in the ladies looked like someone had peed all over the floor. It looked like it was just water leakage though. There was one gentlemen who helped us at the end with our bill and he did apologize for the slow service and kinks. That was really nice of him, but still doesn't change my honest rating of 3/5. I'll give this place a couple months to get situated with everything before coming back. Hope business continues to grow for them! read more

The staff is super friendly! As far as their pho goes, I think it's sufficient for satisfying any cravings, however I would 100% go back for their service. I went with a friend and we both ordered pho bowls with different meats. When they brought out our orders, our waitress wasn't sure if my friend's bowl had the correct meat in it (he had ordered steak but they weren't sure if it was brisket, since I had ordered brisket for mine). We didn't even ask for a new bowl or to change the order, as my friend was fine with eating the brisket, but they were so accommodating and gave us a plate of steak for free. Wow 10/10!! Matthew is the one who helped me order my pho and decide on a soup. He was really helpful explaining all the options and had such a friendly vibe to him! The broth is so fresh very low sodium and tasted healthy and clean. I enjoyed how fast it came out and how well the service and treatment was. the restaurant was very clean inside and very well kept! Bathroom was also very clean. I am so happy I live only 15 minutes away from this beautiful place and have discovered this gem! I will definitely be coming back here many many many more times. This location is the absolute best in the Aurora area!! My husband and I visit there often for Pho. Anytime we are there, we are met with good service and a clean environment. The waiters are also very kind and friendly. I always order the Pho Tia Nam and it's made hot and fresh. The flavor of the broth blows me away. I mean, the broth by itself is tasty and good for a sore throat, stuffy nose, or a cold Chicago night! The environment is super cute and comfy. You have the option of outdoor or indoor dining. Both are nice and you will still receive great service. The inside isn't hot or cold, but comfortable. Outside is busy, as the location of the restaurant is in a busy plaza. So far a big fan of their crepes, pho, and food. Not a big fan of their teas. They left out an item in our order and I called over 70 times but the line was busy for over a half hour. I highly recommend that they get at least two to three phone lines. You're missing out on so many orders!!! And people who have issues with their order like us can't get a hold of you. I'd say this is probably my new favorite pho place in the area. I always go to Green Basil in Downtown Naperville, so when I found out Pho Noodle Station opened I was curious to try it, especially since some friends have raved about it already. I went strictly for the pho and ordered the pho tai gan (beef brisket with tendon). I was sad to see that there was hardly any tendon in my bowl, which is the half of the reason why ordered it. My mom ordered something similar and she had quite of bit of tendon in her bowl and shared with me. So consistency in what you get in your order doesn't seem to be quite there. Flavors overall were great though. Best I've had in a while I'd say. I didn't really need to add lime to the broth bc it tasted so good on its own. And for $9.95, it's definitely worth it. Patio seating is available and with umbrellas, so when it started to rain a bit when I was there we still stayed dry. Great place overall, I recommend it! read more
