    Pad See Ew Noodle
    Tessa B.

I love the amount of options this place has, didn't realize it was Vietnamese Thai fusion! I got the pad see ew which was awesome, and my friend got the pho which I was able to try and enjoyed. It's a cute little vibe in there, pretty lowkey and you can walk in really easily on a weekend. I'll be returning!

Menu has been revamped since I was last here so couldn't get the bun tom nuong- grilled shrimp on rice vermicelli. Instead I got the grilled chicken and it was delicious. It had a slightly sweet sauce over it and came with a side of fish sauce and pickled daikon- yum! Service was very quick.

The pho was OK. I found it very basic, and the broth was almost tasting a little bit instant instead of a really good solid Soup with authentic flavors. The place was cute, but place was awkwardly next to a gas station. I like the mango sticky rice. I would like to come back and try the appetizers and maybe I would change my mind about this place.

I've drove past this restaurant so many times and finally decided to try it out. The servers were so friendly and the food came out incredibly fast. We ordered the Dac Biet Pho, crispy chicken pad Thai, and Chicken Satay. This might be my favorite Pad Thai in the area and the portion size was huge!!! The Chicken for the Chicken Satay was perfectly cooked and so juice and the peanut sauce was the best. I will say the parking is so limited and kind of scary to back out of so be mindful of that! They seem to do a huge takeout business so definitely would order from here again!

The parking is limited but it is there. It handles maybe 5 or 6 cars. Rather hard to maneuver my car especially with lots of traffic on the street. I started off with spring rolls that had rice wraps encasing lettuce, carrots, a strip of zuchinni and some Chinese cabbage. I thought the spring rolls were overpriced at 8.00 I had pho Ga that had plenty of shredded chicken, noodles and bean sprouts on the side. I would have preferred a few more bean sprout. Great for weight-watchers. I swear I loose weight when I eat Vietnamese food. The place filled up while I was there with Vietnamese people which was a good sign. If they let me it, it has to be good. The waitress came right over to me as soon as I was seated. She took my order wand I was served promptly. I did have to ask for my bill. Overall I found this place to be average. Take it or leave it.

This place is okay. We drive by it all the time, for years...and finally tried it. The fried calamari and shrimp are good. I had the Bun Bo Hue, but I've had it a lot better in other places. Its okay food. If you can't decide between thai or viet food, this may be a good pick. There is several parking spots out side. Place looks decent. Staff was friendly. Seems to be a popular uber eats place.

The restaurant and pho is overall alright. I am a massive fan of pho so any pho will taste delicious to me. Their pho's quality is decent. When I received my pho, the noodles were stuck together like it came straight out of a package. There was barely any meat on my pho. The scallion pancakes were good but the pancakes were really thin. The staff were quick and efficient. The overall restaurant is small, great for a hangout spot with your friends.

Chicken in the Garden Dinner and Massaman Curry Dinner

I ordered Thai takeout as this restaurant has a good reputation for good, safe gluten-free options. The menu is well marked. The Chicken in the Garden meal has a delicious peanut sauce. The Massaman Curry was decent. Neither dish had as much flavor as I prefer (I like strong flavors and these were exceptionally mild flavored). The portion sizes were acceptable and the packaging was well done. The order was ready when indicated. The menu and website stare there is a 5% discount for ordering direct. That was not honored. The website also requires a tip amount be entered to place the order, which seems presumptuous on takeout. There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant. I'm sure it fills up quickly. If I return, I'll try the Vietnamese options.

After getting takeout a few times from here, we finally ate in as a family. I started off a bit skeptical at first because the restaurant has Thai and Vietnamese dishes. Usually that's a red flag for not being good at either. But turns out, they nailed both. The tom yum soup is our go-to. They have two sizes. The other Thai dishes are also tasty. The pad Thai, chicken satay, and mango sticky rice are all quite good. And their soft shell crab dish is also garlicky good. On the Vietnamese side of the house, all of their pho dishes are yummy and rich. Finally, this was the first time we dined in, and the service was as good as the food. Our server offered our family a stand for the iPhone my son was watching videos on. And the service was attentive and considerate. We will be back, likely for takeout again.

Pad Thai; Pho Chay (vegetarian Pho)

Small quaint pho shop nestled right off of Arsenal Mall. We came in on a Friday evening to a semi-full house and was able to get a table for 2 quickly. The vibe is very warm and cozy. We started with scallion pancakes as appetizers and ordered a vegetarian pho and a pad Thai as our main dish. The food was all very tasty although the portions are on the smaller side. The pancakes were super crispy and served with ginger sauce. Our main dishes were quite average and couldn't find anything noteworthy compared to other Vietnamese/pho shops. The broth felt a little lacking, but maybe because we opted for no meat. Service was attentive and great plus there is a small discount when paying by cash which we took advantage of. tldr; average pho shop. Discount if you pay by cash. Maybe better as a takeout option.

Not bad price for the portion and the quality

The place is located conveniently near Arsenal Yard however, it is still a bit of a walk if you plan to come here from the shopping area of "The Yard". If you do plan to drive here, be warned the parking lot is very limited and can be challenging to pull out because of how cars are parked and on a very busy road. Similar to the parking lot, the restaurant is small but well decorated and has a cozy feeling. Unfortunately and I always seem to get an elbow or a bump from someone when I'm in here so just be ready to share you personal space when you come here. I have come to rather enjoy taking my order home and enjoy my meal while in the comfort of my home. The curries here are very well balanced. I'm a sucker for red curry and shrimp. There is nice heat and sweet creamy coconut milk. The two dishes I can't seem to not order when I come here is the Drunken Noodle and their Pad Thai. Both are cooked very well and with a nice spring in their noodles, and filled with flavor. Good food, Friendly staff, and for the price, its a good place to get your Thai craving quenched.

I might get some angry comments for saying this but pho Viet has the best cold cut banh mi in all of Massachusetts!! I will post again when I go next time and get some pictures. As someone who was born and raised in Dorchester, And ba Le was the only spot we would go. With inflation and increase in cost, I felt like the quality just kept lacking. You order at the counter, find a seat, and the food comes out pretty quickly. We had the summer rolls and the vegan ramen. The summer rolls were fresh and flavorful, and the peanut sauce was especially good. The vegan ramen was also enjoyable, with good-quality ingredients and a satisfying broth. My only real critique is that I wish there were more options to add heat. I tend to like my noodle soups on the spicier side, and I would have loved more chili oil, hot sauce, or other spicy condiments to customize the flavor. There was also SO much broccoli and that really took over the soup, I wish there was a bit more variability or balance in the veggies. Overall, the food was tasty, the quality was solid, and the service was fast.

Service was friendly and helpful, we got everything we needed and within a reasonable time. For appetizers we ordered the banh khot which were tasty and crispy, the shrimp tasted fresh. The meat included in the platter were all deliciously flavored and cooked nicely. It came with fresh lettuce and herbs to pair with the meat. Vietnamese cuisine is traditionally rooted in affordability, sharing an abundance of food, and enjoying good laughs with great company. By trying to force the concept into a high-end parallel, it just ends up feeling mediocre and hollow. The value simply isn't there--a single appetizer, one main entree, and three refreshments came out to a whopping $105. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly judgmental. Because our party of three only ordered that amount, the staff pretty much ignored us for the rest of the night after taking the order. The awkwardness started the absolute second we sat down. Before we could even settle into our chairs or get handed a menu, the waiter demanded to know what we wanted to drink. When we asked to see a menu first, he looked completely confused as to why we'd need one. After another staff member finally took our order, we sat there waiting for what felt like an eternity. When the food eventually arrived, they gave us sharing plates and chopsticks. We asked for a spoon to properly eat the claypot rice, and the waiter gave us another judging look. As Asians, we obviously know how to use chopsticks, but you objectively need a spoon to scoop the claypot SAUCE out of the pot! While the food itself is decent, the cramped atmosphere, poor hospitality, and inflated price tag mean I won't be rushing back. I might grab take out for the dumpling platter and cat fish rice pot but definitely not sitting in again.
