When a Vietnamese person recommends a location as the place that they go to to get there fix, you go try it. I'm elated that I did. I settled upon a large bowl of Pho with brisket, rare eye of round, and tendon (oh, the tendon!), and a fresh lemonade. The service was fast and for a little more than $9, such an amazing offering. The broth had wonderful flavor, the noodles were cooked properly, the tendon was perfect and plentiful (finally!), and the beef was very present in the bowl. This location doesn't skimp on the beef in any way what soever, and the rare eye of round was an awesome touch. To cook the thinly sliced eye of round actually in the soup to maintain and yet lend some flavor to the beef as well. Completely blown away by the lemonade, too. I mean, seriously? Can you actually do that? Being taken back by how incredibly fresh and perfect the level of acid vs sweetness, I didn't know this was actually possible, but it was just that good. As a native Arlington-er (?), I usually track the progress of the Vietnamese joints in the area. Some Vietnamese restaurants reach a peak (see Pho 95 review) and then go down. However, Pho Palace consistently delivers good, authentic Vietnamese food no matter how many times I go there. When you go in, the decor is about as nice as a non-Americanized Vietnamese restaurant can get. The colors are soothing, and the paintings on the wall are nice and non-distracting. Standard tables and chairs. Service is prompt, and my water glass was refilled several times throughout the meal without me asking (unheard of at other Vietnamese places!). After ordering, the food comes out hot and quick! I had the Hu Tieu Giay Mi Dac Biet Kho (Glass and egg combination noodle soup, served dry). It had a great meat-to-noodle ratio, and being the dry-version, the extra sauce they mix was delectable! I love that they top it off with an extra crispy shrimp cracker. Only the best noodle houses know to do this tradition. My friend had the Com Tam (broken rice) dish with Pork Cake, Shrimp Cake, Shredded Pork Skin, and Grilled Pork. He wasn't even hungry to begin with, but he demolished his plate because he said it was so good. The portions for both mine and his were generous, and the price was fantastic. It was something like 14 dollars total for BOTH our lunches and drinks. And we were stuffed... In previous visits, the Pho is above-average, good portion size and decent broth. The Nem Nuong Cuon (Pork Spring Rolls) were very good, and the fried eggroll wrapper in the middle gives the normally limp spring roll a satisfying crunch. Highly recommended. read more

I wanted to give this place another chance since my first time (in which I forgot to review on) but both times were pretty disappointing. The service was slow and I felt the items I've ordered were not as fresh. The spring rolls aka goi cuon seemed premade because the veggies did not tasted fresh. My mi bo kho aka beef stew noodle was disgusting. It was way too salty and they had used egg noodles which imo does not go well with a beef stew base. I've had their pho here as well and to be honest, for $8-$10 I could've gone to pho Pasteur for a better bowl. read more

I like Pho Pasteur in Carrollton and Richardson better. The Bún Bò Hue was bland and the pig's feet was tough (needs to be cooked longer). The fish sauce was terrible. The Hu Tieu Mì was very average. The Bì Cuon was good but it's hard to mess this up. Won't RTE. read more

I like the ambiance! Pho Palace is decorated in soft pastel greens, with contemporary wall hangings and micro halogen lighting. It's very clean and comfortable. The service is brisk and efficient. I've tried the pho here on several occasions and found it to be outstanding. I've also ventured to other specialties on the menu: spring rolls, Banh Mi (baguette sandwich), and stir fry. We eat a lot of Vietnamese, so it takes something special for a place to stand out to me. Here's what did it: The broth of the Bun Bo Hue Chay (vegetable version) was simply amazing. I have a tendency to take-home half of anything I order, but I couldn't stop sipping up every last bit of this dish. The decor is subtle and comfortable. It's no dive, but not so fancy you start to doubt the authenticity. Waitstaff were very friendly and seemed to both know and care about repeat customers. There were lots of welcomes and asking about people's kids, lives, etc. Their fish sauce is really, really good! (This is important.) You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Great pho, great banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches), great stir fry, rice, vegetarian dishes, bubble tea. The service is great. I used to go here so much when I lived in Arlington that they know me by first name. The interior is decorated well with nice white walls, modern looking decorations, pictures of beautiful scenery in Vietnam. This review probably should be taken with a grain of salt as I've only had a bowl of pho here as well as their spring rolls. It seems like there are a lot of other items on the menu that warrant trying out so if I come back, I'm sure this review will change. I got the number 11, which is just brisket and eye of round and split an order of spring rolls. Both items were well priced and were pretty good for what they were. I can't say anything wowed me but there certainly was nothing to complain about (though I really hate the lime shortage going on right now lol). The soup broth was good and didn't seem to have any sort of MSG (which I usually determine by taste and how thirsty I am after the meal). It was a solid dining experience, but just not at the level where I would come here specifically for their food. Once again, could change after trying out a few more items, but not right now. Service was about typical for any pho type of restaurant. Somewhat impersonal but food came out quickly and water was refilled when requested. I'll stop by here again if friends are in the area, but as of now all I can say is that this is a solid place to get some pho if you are in the area. read more

My family and I have been going to this restaurant for years whenever we're craving Vietnamese food. I've had their pho, rice dishes, banh mi, vermicelli dishes, and more. The menu has so many different dishes to choose from, and the price is very reasonable. The restaurant is also clean and spacious. Some of my favorite things to order are the nem nuong (A6), grilled chicken banh mi (B2), and the combination of clear and egg noodle soup (55) I've had nem nuong at other restaurants, but this place does it best. The sauce it comes with is nice and savory, and the roll itself has so many different textures going on. It's amazing. The french bread they use for banh mi is soooooo fresh and warm during lunch time, but if you order banh mi during dinner time, it's not as good because the bread is cold. Did I also mention their banh mi is less than $4? Yeah, that's right. All those Dallas Vietnamese restaurants and food trucks can keep their $8 banh mi. As for the combination clear and egg noodle soup, the pork broth is to die for. It comes with liver, squid, shrimp, fish patties, and pork. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Hands down this is my favorite in DFW so far. The pork spring rolls are perfection and the pho just dominates. I've taken a couple of years to try other places and nobody really compares in the area. Apparently my old review was deleted when I updated it. Okay so here's the scoop then! First off, they have the most fragrant broth of all of the Pho places around and it has the most amazing flavor. It really doesn't need your Hoisin, fish sauce or Sriracha. It is heavenly and while some other nearby Pho restaurants have a good broth, there is nothing like Pho Palace, nothing. The pork spring rolls include a pork grilled the perfection and the absolute perfect blend of garnish. I never go there without getting a pork spring roll, it is hard to imagine a meal there without them. For the sake of tradition and because she's freaking pretty, there is this really cute waitress with freckles and I love seeing her there almost every time I go. *wink* (I would imagine she is long since married so... thumbs up to the lucky guy) :) Seriously, go there, it is so good and if you miss this treasure of the DFW area then you are missing out. read more

I went here for the first time with an awesome friend and she introduced me to Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. Now I can't get enough of it! Their spring rolls are really good and fresh. Give their salty lemonade a try. The portions are generous, but its so good you don't want to stop eating! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great for family. I've been wanting to write a review for this place for a long d@mn time. I lived in Arlington for 5 years and tried all the vietnamese restaurants and reviewed their health inspections throught the City of Arlington. No violations which means you can have peace of mind the spring rolls won't have something that's not supposed to be in there like most other Vietnamese restaurants. That being said they have the best d@mn pho in the phocking world. Their vermicelli dishes are awsome too. Probably not the best place to get bobba tea but it's a Vietnamese restaurant! Anyway, if you go on a Sunday afternoon you'll hit the church crowd and good luck finding a seat. You're better off finding Bin Laden which speaks volumes about their food. read more

oh man. i've been meaning to stop by and eat here for forever, but i never have the chance to b/c i'm always in a rush. I finally got a chance to sit and eat the pho. (LOL) I got the grilled pork rolls and the #19 small. I love tendon! The pork rolls were good. :) Nothing special, nothing gross. They hit the spot! The pho was fantastic! The broth was goooooood. I really enjoyed the noodle to broth to meat ratios going on here. I usually end up with a TON of broth, not much noodle and not much meat. I am happy to report that I had ALOT Of meat left at the end after I slurped up all the noodles and sucked down half the broth. Having visited Pho Pasteur on my last visit to Arlington, I decided to try Pho Palace on this trip. Although a much nicer looking place, Pho Palace is not quite as good as Pho Pasteu as far as the pho was concerned but then again, the tasty meatballs I had last time were still fresh in my mind. What the Pho was lacking was made up for in the spring rolls which were very tasty and clearly freshly made as the grilled chicken and pork inside was still warm. This place is pretty good. It's your standard pho restaurant that you find much like anywhere. I like this place because they give you lots of meat with whatever bowl of pho that you order. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I go here once a week. Décor is pleasant... music playing is pleasant and non-overbearing. Waitstaff are wonderfull! Food is delicious. I have not had one thing here that I have not liked.. not one! Their chargrilled pork and eggroll vermicelli bowl is to die for. The Com Bo Luc Loc is absolutely delicious. Great Shrimp Eggrolls are served with a yummy peanut sauce and Spring Rolls are served with a very good fish sauce. Pho is hot, tasty and filling. Prices are cheap for the servings you get. Without the addition of fish sauce and soy sauce, it didn't have much flavor. The broth should have been served hotter, just shy of boiling, in order to cook the added ingredients (bean sprouts, basil leaves, etc.). I've tried a lot of things on the menu, from the pennywort juice, pho, bun, and stir fry, and I have liked everything. Everything was really fresh and delicious, I loved tasting all the different flavors mingled together. The red hot sauce on the table was very good. We started off with the chicken spring rolls, loved those and they were huge for only $3+ for 2 rolls. Then my husband and I shared the Beef Meatball Pho and the X20, ginger chili chicken. The vermicelli bowl with grilled pork is always wonderful. Spring rolls delicious. Crushed rice with grilled pork (and some kind of pork skin maybe?) fantastic. I keep trying new Vietnamese places in Fort Worth and Haltom City and being sorely disappointed. There's always some ingredient that reeks of poor quality. While there are still many Vietnamese places in Haltom City and Arlington to try, I think I've been burned by enough bad ones that I'll stick to my two favorites: Pho Palace and Sprouts (both Arlington). read more

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Arlington. The rice dishes are always good (it seems as if the meat servings are getting smaller and smaller). My favorite dishes here are the my thap cam (combination yellow noodles), dried. Their hu thieu ap chao (fried noodles with shrimp, meat, etc) are also delicious. Any boba drinks are delicious, my personal favorite is the cappuccino boba! They recently redid and expanded the restaurant. So much more open and modern now plus tons of more seating. Pho was good but service was questionable. We had a group of 10 people, 3 of us had pho and everyone else ordered a rice dish. The food took about 30 min to come out for the rice dishes. The Pho took another 20 min after that. From my assumptions, I believed that Pho is simply pouring broth into a bowl and adding the meat/noodles. I would say this place gave loads of meat. The ratio of meat to noodle was 2:1 I felt. Broth tasted just okay though. First, the good reviews for this place are spot on! I took a coworker here for dinner as I was in Arlington for work. The spring rolls are AWESOME!!! I am used to really authentic food, California is spoiled like that, and this is very good! Seriously, the spring rolls were fresh and delicious. The sauces that came with the two different rolls (A2 and A4) were very good. The grilled pork was stellar and was my favorite roll. I could come here and just have spring rolls and be content. We also ordered a couple dishes of the crispy noodles, one with chicken and beef and the other with a seafood combo. Both were well cooked. I am not a big fan of crispy noodles; however, my coworker likes them so I went along as she was a good sport coming to a Pho place when she has never had Pho! I ordered the salty lemonade and I was pleseantly suprised! The prices are very reasonable and do not judge this place by the outside, the inside is MUCH MUCH nicer than the area it is in.
