This cozy little place is right across from the golden arches it's easy to miss at night as their sign isn't lit up. I came in a little later in the evening so I was able to be seated quickly and order taken. Ordered the special (Dac Biet) pho bowl and it only comes in a large size. I always try the broth first before doctoring it up and it was really good clean tasting broth. You do get a lot of different cuts off the beef in this bowl, I want to say it's a good ratio between meat and the rice noodles. Price is comparable for this special bowl. It's definitely worth a visit as they offer a ton of other Vietnamese dishes as well as what stores to be Cajun menu items.

Came here for the grilled pork banh mi and I was not disappointed. The bread was crisp, not chewy. The pork was flavorful. The veggies (carrot, daikon, cucumber and cilantro) were fresh. Also had the shrimp and pork spring rolls, they were delicious. Great service.

Best pho spot I've had in Corona/Norco! I would definitely recommend the Number 2. It's cheaper than the other pho spots around, and it has a very welcoming environment. The food is always delicious, and the portions are great for the price!

I've had lots of Pho in the area that is really good, but Pho Rex on Hidden Valley in Norco is by far the best! Always fresh and super tasty. My favorite is the #1 Special with all the meats, with TONS of chili oil to give it a nice kick. One thing I want to add...their egg rolls are TO DIE FOR!!! I sometimes just order a couple of orders to-go because I crave them all the time!

This spot right off hidden Valley Parkway is sure to satisfy your cravings for Vietnamese food. My personal favorite is the grilled chicken with white rice dish. It comes with a small side of sweet and spicy sauce that I absolutely just love. The Banh mi is also on point. If you haven't had a Banh mi yet, please be sure to order it. Banh Mi is a fusion French style baguettes and Vietnamese grilling perfection. It usually comes with a whole slew of veggies and Mayo. My favorite part is when I take a bite and includes a crispy jalapeño slice with just the right amount of spice. Additionally, their shrimp- spring rolls dipped in peanut sauce are a must have. They provide a refreshing lightweight snack that makes you feel healthy while eating something delicious. I love the service here. There was a miscommunication in my order, but the staff was happy to resolve it and take care of me. The dining experience is also pleasant. If you're looking for a cute little set up for casual dining, this is your spot. I haven't tried the pho yet, but I'm eager to return.

i placed my order for a pork banh mi online and headed over immediately for pick up, thinking i'd have to sit and wait but it was ready! service was very quick and the cashier was super sweet. the restaurant was clean and the menu looked great. they have vietnamese food and cajun boil! will definitely come back to try the cajun boil.

First I want to say. I love to support my local businesses but this place I have been trying to give them so many chances but they have failed me. As you can see in my picture pho special and missing a few toppings. Also The price increase and the meat is less. Rather drive a little bit further out and better foods.

I'm not sure if this pho is catered to non asian demographic, but I wish the tendons, flank, and fatty brisket were all there. Other than that. The food here is super! I will definitely come again and try their cajun! It just looks so good!

Myself being Asian and growing up eating home-made pho, this place is actually really good. It's always a hit and miss with restaurants pho and this place is our (my Hispanic wife and her family) favorite place to go eat pho. I would strongly recommend the pho menu. I don't know about the other food on the menu but the pho is exceptionally good and clean. I'm very picky with my pho and we always eat here at least once a week. I give it a 4 star instead of 5 because I don't know about the other food other than the pho. Check this place out and enjoy. read more

Ordered egg fried rice thru postmates and here is what I got for $9 before taxes. Barely any eggs and look at the portion in the picture please. Barely fills the box. Might as well have used a small salad container. It doesn't cost much or take much to make egg fried rice... so I expected much better for what I was charged. read more

I'm Vietnamese and have pretty high standards for pho. Living from OC to IE it was hard to find good pho that is priced well. Thankfully we lucked out and ended up at pho rex. Overall fast service, great fresh pho + other options. Only thing to point out is that they offer Cajun seafood, never ordered that before but maybe consider sticking to the viet menu read more

I'm still on the hunt to find the best pho in the CH/Corona area. Unfortunately, this wasn't it for me. I ordered a phở đặc biệt (special) and while the noodles and meat were fine, the beef broth was extremely salty and almost sour? (And for clarification - I did not squeeze lime in my bowl) it's a no for me. Couldn't finish the whole bowl. read more

I came here and had the shrimp and crawfish with the really good Cajun sauce...my girlfriend & i really enjoy it....i saw 2 family with 3 kids here and they seemed enjoy it....they just open like a week ago...everything great and we will come back here again next time guys... My dad and I really like going here to get pho! The service is really nice and attentive and the pho and fried rice is flavorful. Just a warning the last time a went I took a bit of the fried lumpia and the inside was almost frozen (raw). They were nice to take it back and remake the side dish but It was still cold when we got the new set of lumpia, I was to embarrassed to tell them again. read more

First time trying this restaurant and its amazing taste for grand opening within couple weeks. The Pho here tastes so good, its like family mom home made. And especially, the crawfish.! Was so good. I have no complaints about my experience today. They were generous enough to let us sit down and enjoy our meal (two pho dishes) 25 minutes before they closed, most places refuse to sit you 30 minutes prior to closing! Not once did i feel rushed to quickly finish my meal nor did their polite customer service waver. Food was delicious and reasonably priced! Will definitely be coming again!! read more

This is my go to spot for a quick Pho noodle soup. The soups are tasty and always pick up from here. The prices are average and not too expensive. Check your food order before picking up this place gets busy and sometimes the workers forget items lol read more

Man I can NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS PLACE!!! I love the Vegan pho it's so good and I have tried other places and they can't beat the flavors here. I have tried a few other dishes here and they are so good full of flavor compare to other pho places. Besides the food being so delicious the staff here is very nice amazing customer service if they mess up you can't blame them they get super super busy , but they will fix it ASAP . read more

Awesome pho! So yummy and tasty. I have been to Pho Rex several times and it never gets old. The food is fresh and always flavorful. The added spices make it a cut above all other pho restaurants. We went in for the orange chicken which my little daughter loves and I ordered soup # nine and some calamari. Everything was delicious and hot and filling, they do not skimp but however the orange chicken was very mushy and needed more sauce. I definitely would go back for the soup and the calamari. read more

Our favorite pho restaurant (that we've tried) in Corona/ Norco. We've tried 4 in the area. We eat here at least once every 10 days lol. Pho is such a great comfort food, but you don't feel guilty after eating a huge bowl. Their broth is flavorful before even adding any hoisin or siracha. The only thing I like to add is chili oil for a little spice and extra like juice. Their meats are fresh and tender. Sometimes I add shredded chicken and their chicken is flavorful and never chewy. My favorite meats are the filet mignon, rare steak and lean brisket. Their egg rolls are also amazing. Overall, this place is always a good choice. I'm definitely a regular customer and order frequently through door dash and occasionally go to the restaurant for dine in. The service is fast and friendly. read more

Once I got my food and said thank you in vietnamese, the employee in the front got real quiet. Lmao I sat outside with the fur babies and enjoyed my salmon. It was flavorful but noodles were kind of dry. The spring rolls came in 2. They add avocado, tofu, and jicima in addition to other ingredients. This isn't your traditional spring roll. I can also confirm that dipping sauce is straight peanut butter with not even enough water mixed in to make the texture smooth. Its like getting a cup of peanut butter that is watery on the top and dry and chunky from the middle down. A sauce like this will not be acceptable in the vietnamese community down in Bolsa. Haha! The coffee was also only okay, didn't finish it. I dont think I would drive out of my way to eat here.

I was honestly very shocked by his reaction and how he tried to avoid accountability..we felt very disgusted yet still paid because the guy started making a scene out of the entire situation when we were trying to be very respectful about it so it doesn't hurt his business. But his reaction and lack of professionalism really warranted this review.

Oh no! They have an impressive menu, very diverse. I like that you can order either large sushi rolls, or the smaller, Happy Hour, 5 pc. size so you can try more and not hate yourself as much when you waddle out the door. The rolls are beautifully made, made with very fresh ingredients, the ratio of rice to filling is perfect (i.e. not too much rice), and the rice is nicely flavored. Their tempura has great flavor, the poke salad is outstanding, the miso soup is rich, not watered down, but the biggest "prize" IMHO is the fish collar (kama), either salmon or hamachi. Here is where you separate the men from the boys. They do not sell old kama that has come from a food supplier's bag, frozen. They only use fresh, the same quality as their sushi, because it comes from the same whole fish they have selected to filet for sushi. Taste it and you know you have hit the jackpot. Before they broil it, they simply slather Japanese mayo on it and salt & pepper. There is something about the mayo that makes it sing a whole new tune. The kama is moist, tender, and comes with their tasty, house ponzu sauce. It's a real treat. Bonus points for being very reasonably priced relative to other sushi houses and they tend to be larger as well. To take advantage of the Happy Hour menu, it is available every day of the week. Monday through Thursday until 7pm, Friday through Sunday until 5 pm. It's an abbreviated menu but has great choices, fairly priced. Their service is tops, seating is limited (probably not more than 40), the interior is warm and quaint, and parking is no problem. And don't forget to respond to their friendly farewell with a duplicate, heartfelt "See you tomorrow" as you leave! Enjoy!

I met up with a coworker, and we both got their combo platters. I went with the three item with marbled brisket, cheddar, jalapeño sausage, and baby back ribs for my sides. I got their french fries and coleslaw. Each platter also comes with a slice of cornbread. I'll say that the barbecue here was excellent. brisket was nice and soft and just the right amount of inter-muscular fat in each bite. The sausage was good, but what I was most surprised about was the baby back ribs those ribs were actually really good. I've been to a lot of places where the ribs are a tad bit dry but these ones were nice and soft with a nice smoky flavor it was actually one of the better baby back ribs I've had! Apparently, there are a lot of people who know about this place so if you want to die in here during lunchtime, consider coming a little bit earlier because there's definitely a lunch rush. I came here at 11:30 and it wasn't that four but as soon as noon hit the place was packed! Everyone was really nice. The person at the cashier explained the menu because we mention it was my first time there. This is definitely place you want to check out if you're in the area and if you like some good barbecue!

ZERO STARS. One of the most disturbing and unacceptable restaurant experiences I have ever had -- especially with my children standing next to me. I came back to Pho Rex despite having a terrible experience here previously because my kids were craving pho and I was willing to give this restaurant another chance. That was a huge mistake. During this visit, a man working there looked at me and my children and told us, "We don't serve your type of people." He then made it very clear that he did not like us, told us that he would never serve us, became aggressive, got directly in my face, raised his voice, and told us to leave the restaurant immediately. This happened in front of my children and in front of a restaurant full of customers. I have never experienced anything like this at a restaurant. We weren't asking for special treatment. We weren't causing a problem. We were a father and his children trying to sit down and eat dinner, and we were treated as though there was something wrong with who we are. What happened afterward somehow made this even worse. Because my children still wanted pho, I called the Pho Rex location in Norco. The person there was initially extremely kind, welcomed us, apologized when I explained what had just happened, and took our order. I gave them my card information over the phone and our order had already been placed. Then, just minutes later, I received a call back from the Norco location telling me that the manager from the other Pho Rex had contacted them and instructed them not to serve us either. Think about that. We left the first restaurant after being told "we don't serve your type of people," tried to quietly take our business elsewhere, placed and provided payment information for an order at another location -- and then apparently someone from the first restaurant went out of his way to call the second location and have our family refused there too. At that point, this no longer felt like one employee having a bad moment. It felt deliberate. And what makes this even more unbelievable is that I was already giving this restaurant another chance after what I personally observed during a previous visit. On that visit, I saw what appeared to be roaches/insects and spiders inside the restaurant, and the shrimp we received had disturbing black material/discoloration on it that made the food look absolutely disgusting. I should have trusted my instincts then and never returned. But at that time he had apologized and told us that our experience next time would be better but I guess he was offended from the first time because somebody actually called him up for the quality of the food that they were providing and this is how we were treated. But I believe in giving businesses another opportunity. Instead, I brought my children back and was humiliated in public, yelled at, approached aggressively, ordered to leave, told "we don't serve your type of people," and then apparently blacklisted at another location after we had already placed an order there. I cannot imagine treating another human being this way, much less doing it to a parent standing there with children. This is far beyond bad customer service. This is the kind of conduct that deserves to be documented and investigated. I will be reporting the sanitation concerns to Riverside County Environmental Health and the refusal of service to the appropriate California civil-rights authorities. I am also preserving the details of both conversations, call records, payment information, witnesses, and everything surrounding what happened. Parents: I would think very carefully before bringing your family here. I genuinely hope management preserves any surveillance footage from this incident, because it will show exactly how we were treated. There are too many restaurants that appreciate their customers and treat families with basic dignity to ever spend another dollar somewhere that treated mine this way. Never again. read more

DO NOT MISS this lil gem in Norco ~ this is probably the best Vietnamese food I have ever had.... The staff is the MOST polite I have ever encountered, the portions are huge and the price is beyond reasonable.. I will be going here till I have tried everything on the menu... Oh my deliciousness.. I am grateful for everyone that suggested this absolute wonderful place... If I had anything negative to say, it would be that it's small.. but damn the food is fire.. thank you to all the staff that are absolutely attentive to your every need, the to-go orders were also packed the way your mom would pack your lunch/dinner... I wish I can give it more stars yo read more

I came here mainly to try their banh beo ($11.48) which are tiny plates of steamed rice cakes with bits of dried shrimp, chicharron, and scallion oil served with a dipping of fish sauce. It's hard to find restaurants that do it but I was happy to find this place. I also got their coconut water and a taro smoothie to try for myself and chicken fried rice for my family to try. The restaurant itself has a modern look and feel, which I really like. The food is decent, but I'd say it's pretty average overall. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. Our first visit was during their grand opening, and it was packed. Service wasn't great, but I gave them plenty of grace since they were brand new and obviously trying to get into a rhythm. A couple of weeks later, we decided to give them another chance. It was only moderately busy this time, but unfortunately the service was just as disappointing. We had to remind our server about our waters, drinks were either incorrect or never came out, and when we tried to let someone know, we were brushed off instead of helped. The most frustrating part came at the end of our meal. Our server insisted we hadn't paid our bill, even after we showed him our receipt. Instead of checking with the cashier first, he argued with us before finally confirming that we had, in fact, already paid. Then we purchased a dessert to go at the register, but it was never brought out. When we asked about it, we were told the order had never been seen, and they initially tried to charge us a second time before realizing the mistake. Everyone makes mistakes, especially at a new restaurant. What disappointed me wasn't that errors happened. It was how they were handled. A simple apology and a willingness to verify what happened would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt like we had to defend ourselves over issues that weren't our fault. I truly wanted to love this place because it's so convenient and the food is decent. Unfortunately, the customer service has left such a bad impression that I just can't see myself coming back. That's really disappointing because I was hoping this would become a neighborhood favorite.

The item we ordered was the Jalepeno Tuna Tempura Roll. Firstly, I always read the ingredients and saw that it came stuffed with cream cheese. They didn't " remake " the roll as you fasley stated Mike. The roll came out just as we asked , without the cream cheese because my man doesn't like it that much. After the roll came out without the cream cheese, we both took one bite and immediately didn't like it and told our waiter we didn't like the taste right after. He asked if we wanted them to remake it & clearly told him no it's okay, we will just have the rest of our rolls that were already on our table & he took the Jalepeno Tempura Roll away. As my man stated, the problem came when they didn't want to remove the charge for the Jalepeno Tempura Roll when 1. We didn't like it & 2. We didn't eat it. We first asked the waiter if it could be removed, we thought it was a mistake that they didn't remove it. He told us no which was completely absurd. So we asked to speak to the owner. She came out with one word and said " problem ? " which is extremely unprofessional & rude. My man expressed that he seems it's unfair that the charge won't be removed since we didn't like it and didn't eat it. He expressed how he's been coming to Zip for 14 years & the owner always sees us there. We were loyal customers and all she tried to do was rebuttal with us which was very disappointing. Eventually they took the charge off but my man was very upset that we had to go through that. I wish the owner would've realized a $12 charge wasn't worth losing a loyal customer. My man simply would've left double the amount in tip for the inconvenience as he always does. In my opinion, I never thought Zip was an outstanding Sushi spot but my man always loved to take us there. I'm very happy we won't be going there anymore & now I can introduce him to 5 star sushi spots! My advice: If you don't know all the facts and information that has happened in a situation please keep your comments to yourself. And Mike FYI, we would never eat an entire roll of sushi & expect not to pay for it! Not the story, not the case.
