I usually get the steak bowl with broken rice and the chicken vermicelli noodles with extra chicken on the side. The last few times I ordered from them on Doordash, the protein has gone significantly down in quality. The beef is no longer thinly sliced and grilled, but now in chewy big chunks that is barely grilled. They have also been forgetting the sauces that go with these entrees so eating it without the sauce isn't enjoyable (fish sauce by default for vermicelli dishes and a creamy green sauce for broken rice options). Somewhere along the line, ordering "extra meat" is the same quantity as not ordering extra meat. I kept ordering from them despite these issues thinking it might have been an "off" day. But the issues still unfortunately persist. So for all these reasons, I probably won't be ordering from them again.

We tried the bánh mì, crispy fries, and a brown sugar boba, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The menu offers a nice variety of Vietnamese comfort food, along with burgers, drinks, and other café favorites, so there's something for just about everyone. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. It's comfortable without being overly busy or formal, making it a great place to catch up with friends, enjoy a quiet meal, or simply relax for a while. If you're exploring Beacon Hill or live nearby, Cloud Cafe is definitely worth adding to your list. We had a great experience and look forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

To be honest, the chicken banh mi was underwhelming with shredded bland chicken and very soft bread. The vermicelli bowl was better with all the sauces but even then the flavors were lackluster. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall we spent around $21 for the two dishes. It was alright and I dont know if I would come back to try more of their items. Maybe their drinks?

The bread was soft and not too hard to chew. It was packed with a hefy portion of tofu and fresh, crunchy veggies. I walked to the restaurant, but I can imagine it being difficult to find parking. It's more of a small storefront actually but there are a couple of seats for you to enjoy your meal inside. I recommend placing your order in advance using the Snackpass app! Some of my favorites - the Com Ga Hoy An, Crispy Pork Belly. Cocktails are great - Asian inspired, spicy, tangy. The service has always been friendly and great. Great for a casual lunch and dinner. If I lived closer, I'd probably go there all the time, but I don't, so I go whenever I'm in the Capitol Hill/First Hill area around lunch or dinner time. The good thing though is that if you have InKind credits, Resy credits, Doordash credits etc, this place takes them all, so if you are finding yourself in a position where you must use the credits somewhere, this is a fairly convenient candidate. We got the curry trio with roti, roasted duck curry, swimming rama with pork, and pineapple fried rice with beef, all 2/5 spicy which is fairly mild-medium for my taste buds. We also got some cocktails like the Bass'd and My Thai, the former which is Thai tea with Hennessy and the latter is a mai tai variant. The curry trio with roti is good, though the curry is a little watery. They give a really good amount of curry that we ended up just sipping it like soup later on. The roasted duck curry is really good, a bit on the pricier side but it had a duck leg and a few chunks of duck meat, so you are getting some value (rice is not included, add $3). The swimming rama is good - peanut and garlic dominate the flavors, and the pork is tender and the spinach is decent. The pineapple fried rice with beef is decent - I wished it was a bit more elaborate in presentation like having a half pineapple (that is what I typically envision for this dish), but it is still delicious. There is generous amounts of beef, pineapple, sausage, etc with not much rice, so I prefer that for the value. The cocktails are good and decently strong. $15 is okayish, but the 20% off during happy hour pushes the needle to order a drink alongside the food. The cocktails are fairly basic and easy to make, but we still ordered them for the full experience. Service is good as the food was ready in a timely manner and they had water refills. I visited around 2 PM, and there was only one person working the counter and also as a server for the entire restaurant.. As a result, the service was quite slow. Keep along, :) it's a plant based restaurant and a non-plant based restaurant sharing the same space, but each has a different kitchen for preparation, ordering, and cooking.
