I'm here about twice a week. This place is historic. The pho is solid and they have a great selection of some vermicelli and fried noodle dishes. No nonsense service and fair prices. The food quality has been nothing but consistent at this family run restaurant. My only wish would be if they had my fav Vietnamese rice dish: pork chop over rice with shredded pork. Soooo good. Otherwise their large pho #14 is very well done. Brisket and tripe are fantastic. The soup is also very flavorful. The chicken or beef fried noodles is also really good. This place is solid. The pho is pretty decent, but the combo fried rice is REALLY good. Both are very filling with a good amount of food. They're quick and do dine in or pickup. The quality is very consistent. It's not 100% authentic or anything but it's good food and convenient to get. My only critique is the prices have crept up over time to the point where I do think twice before heading over some times, relative to the quality. Pho Saigon is my go-to place for meals when I'm on break at work. I personally suggest to stay away from ordering from their non-Vietnamese food. I have tried their chicken stir fry and chow mein on separate occasions and they're not good. My favorite items to order here are their BBQ pork sandwiches and vermicelli pork bowls. I love how they grill their pork here. The spring rolls are a great option for those times when you just need something to snack on. The lady who runs this place is really nice and always remembers those who dine here frequently. Also, they do add an additional charge if you spend under $5 with a debit/credit card. read more

This place is fire. For what it is, they have a very extensive menu. I've been coming here for years and the owners are very nice people. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done and done WELL for lunch when I come during work (I almost always get pho or wonton noodle soup, but their hot and sour is ALSO really good). Their prices have raised a little throughout the years, but so have everyone else's. Downtown Seattle is expensive, but it's nice having a reliable pho shop across the street from my job. Today was one of the worst experiences I have ever had I usually come here all the time but the service was horrible today I waited 20mins to get seated there was no organization on the host trying to seat people it was a mess then it took 45 mins to get my food I order a coke and Shrimp PHO and they got my order all wrong . I told the guy that brought me my food I will pay for the coke but not for the food because you got my order wrong and I don't have another 45 mins to wait for some damn PHO and of course he got an attitude. I've passed Pho Saigon riding the bus a zillion times, but rarely walked by for the chance to eat. One day as I passed it walking up the hill, I decided today was the day...and I'm glad I did! It was pretty empty when I came in for a late lunch, so I was able to sit and order right away. I ordered the small brisket + meatball pho and the broth was good. Not really flavorful, but not completely bland. I've definitely had worse and I've had better. I added some chili sauce and a little bit of sriracha to give it life and I really enjoyed it. The small size is enough for me and the price is reasonable. Cheaper than the newer, more trendy pho places opening up around town. The hot food section looks really good and I really want to try it, but I usually default to pho is that is an option. Maybe one day! I've been back since I first tried it and will likely return (could be today since I'm writing this review and now need pho). Service was efficient and servers so far have been friendly and polite. While the restaurant is older and worn in, it appears relatively clean. I have not used restrooms, which are pretty telling, so I can't be 100% sure on cleanliness. I was a little nervous about trying Pho Saigon because of the reviews. They weren't horrible, but not exactly stellar either. However, I'm glad I gave them a chance! I met up with my best friend here and she only has a 30 minute lunch so we were worried she wouldn't have enough time to eat. Luckily these guys are QUICK. I'm talking less than five minutes after we ordered, we had our food. The pho is actually really good! The broth is plenty flavorful and not sweet at all, which is exactly how I like it. And, it came piping hot. So even though it came unnaturally fast I'm convinced it was still fresh. The restaurant itself is a little unassuming and behind a bus stop, so it looks a little sketchy. Regardless, it's a solid spot for pho in my opinion. There are a couple of other places in the area for pho and I noticed a TON of Swedish employees who came here, so it must be a local favorite. For people who work in the area and want something other than pho - they do a $6.95 lunch special every day that comes with a drink, steamed rice, and like ten different choices for a main entree (chicken katsu, teriyaki, etc.). read more

Have been here a couple of times and have decided it is my current go-to Vietnamese craving meal. What to try? The Combination Vermicelli bowl. This is appetizing and satisfying -- it comes as a hearty bowl filled with: fried spring rolls, skewered chicken, beef and pork, Cut meatball sausage, shrimp and julienned cucumbers, carrots and daikon -- all garnished with cilantro, spring onion and basil. The noodles were cooked nicely and wasn't clumpy. What makes this bowl delicious is the fish sauce that came with it. It was flavored delicately, not overpowering as some, and with just a little hint of sweetness and pepper chili flakes. The beef pho soup was also delicious. The broth was just right, it wasn't diluted and seasoned evenly. No need to add salt or pepper! It came with the usual garnishing plate filled with mung bean sprouts, jalapeno slivers, and fresh fragrant basil. This is one of the better pho to be had in Seattle! Finally, the Vietnamese crepe is also wonderful :-) I remember trying one from SF, and it reminded me of the similar taste. The ginormous crepe was filled to the brim with bean sprouts, sauteed prawns and I think tofu. The crepe was crunch and had that fragrant coconut oil and taste. The dipping sauce was just right. I would give this place 3 and a half stars, if I could. I got their $10.95 lunch special. It comes with one hot entree, rice, and can of soda. I chose the eggplant tofu for my entree. The flavors are good but the sauce is heavy and a bit on the greasy, oily side. Great to swing by for a quick, inexpensive lunch. I may try another dish or 2 if I'm ever in the area. A great place to go if you are in the Pill Hill area. A very cute and busy Pho restaurant down the street from Swedish and Virginia Mason Hospitals. If you can't find a seat, try the spacious and warm dining area upstairs. Tao was working very hard running up and down the stairs making sure everyone had their meal quickly. She also was also refilling beverages AND bussing tables. Very impressive and polite service. I tried the Tofu Vermicelli. Very delish, but the tofu was a bit chewy.. and LOTS of noodles. I don't even have to think twice about this - five stars all the way. It is so convenient to my work, and the service is super fast. I ordered Won Ton soup, and OMYG (Oh my yummy goodness), the broth was kissably good. Kissably, meaning I was ready to kiss whoever created this tasty elixr. The won tons were so flavorful, and they were the perfect texture. If you've read any of my previous reviews, won ton soup is easily in my top ten list of favorite foods. So, if someone makes it really well, I have to give them a high rating. I was pleased with the variety of stuff they had. There was a beef chow fun that looked pretty yummy, but I had to refrain because I knew the won ton was going to fill me up. So, back to my review, already in progress. The small was HUGE - and for a little over $6, including tax, it was a great deal. This is not some wussy little soup with a few wonton pillows and some bland broth, this had egg noodles, carrots and pea pods as well as onions. So, in addition to the super 'lish soup, I thought this was a great place to people-watch. I loved that there were doctors, nurses, and business people all intermingled with people from all walks of life. It does my heart good to see all the doctors in the restaurant! I have to say if people in scrubs freak you out, you probably shouldn't be hanging out in a restaurant that's smack in the middle of two hospitals! I went to this restaurant to get food for my boyfriend and I because he was at Virginia Mason up the street. This restaurant sucks!!!!!! False Advertising! Lunch menu outside says one item comes with fried rice for $7. You go in, they say no it doesn't, the deal only comes with white rice and that I'm the only person who ever saw that and that menu is wrong, they proceed to show me another menu. They then tell me, only the two and three item comes with fried rice. I say, okay that's fine I'll get a two item for $8, just $1 more so I can get fried rice, which tasted like shit anyways. I give her a $50 bill for my two item meal and pork sandwich which came to $13.50 and she tried to give me $26.50 back like I can't count. This lady is trying to be slick and take me for $10. She said it's early(uh huh early morning hustler haha) The main reason I stopped at this place was outside on a big sign, it says Lunch special $7 one item special, white rice, includes soda. So after I get my food, I remember oh I should get a soda. I go back in and I say dont I get a soda for the lunch special. Their annoying response, No you only get a soda with one item special. Ridiculous. When they just convinced me to get two item. I would've just got one item, white rice and soda for $7 and my pork sandwich for $4.50. Found this place on Yelp and was concerned about 3.5 stars but I really wanted some good chicken soup for my mom who just got out of hospital. They really came through. I wanted broccoli and mushrooms. Most places throw a few in but they gave me a full bowl of each. Ordered the Chicken Pho - medium size. It was more than enough for my mom and me to have two big bowls of pho, noodles, extra vegetables and all the fixings. It was delicious!! I ordered brisket and tendon pho with chicken wings and BBQ pork apps through DoorDash. The food is delicious. The pho is small but it should be for the price. Unlike other pho places where they pack so much of noodle, the ratio is just right. The pork skewers are sprinkled with lots of peanut crunch. I enjoyed everything.
