Ordered the King crab roll, spicy chicken roll less masago, spicy California roll less masago, salmon tempura roll and chicken bibimbap. I do prefer Korean owned sushi spots, you can get some yummy Japanese cuisines as well as some yummy Korean staples too. ;) $50.72 is the total. The food would take about 15 minutes. We aren famished after our first pick fail. The pickup and pay was quick and easy. You pay at the door. Table is setup in the front doorway. The rolls were all super fresh and quite tasty. The salmon tempura and the king crab rolls were quite big, could barely fit them in my pie hole and no way to eat and talk at the same time. :) The spicy chicken and the spicy California rolls were tasty. The chicken bibimbap was good, would have liked a bit more veggies than zucchini, tad bit of spinach, onions and carrots. I like mine with the burdock and bean sprouts too. The egg was perfectly well fried. We would definitely come back for their rolls, they excel at the sushi for sure. They gave us a complementary salad and soups too. The house salad dressing is more on the sweet and less gingery side of things.

I was pleasantly surprised with Take Sushi. Prices are pretty good. I love that they had scallops, it's like eating a cloud. The fried tofu was good, they use silken tofu, I prefer extra firm tofu. They use white miso for soup, I'm used to the yellow and red which have a stronger flavor. Even though I'm used different flavors, I really enjoyed my lunch. They have a lovely delicate balance throughout the menu. There was even a few Korean items on the menu.

Looks like a hole in the wall outside but so cute and friendly on the inside! We tried the spicy salmon crunch (very good, but needs more crunch), yellowtail roll (very tasty and fresh), scallop roll with an interesting green masago, and a rainbow roll which was very tasty but the pieces in this one need to be cut smaller, the size made it a little hard to eat. The employees are all very nice and helpful. I would definitely return if I'm in the area

I remember when a friend invited me years ago to Ta-Ke Sushi (yes I thought it was literally 'Take' at first) and I was reminded of being in China because they give you a warm wet towel to freshen up. Sadly in post-Covid times, that is no more. However the food is still pretty good. It started ok though with Miso soup that was too salty and salad that tastes good but a little wet at the end. But everything changed when I got my main - bibimbap. It came out looking perfect. The fried egg has crispy edges and I really like the assortment of veggies (spinach, cucumber, radish, carrot) making it healthier. Dish comes out sizzling in a stone bowl so remember to stir stir stir so the bottom doesn't get too burnt. I put some of the sauce which is sweet, tangy, and spicy (gochujang aka fermented red chili paste based) in the bowl to mix but then I realized the better way is to just put a few dabs on each bite to taste which will minimize the error of mixing too much or little sauce. Overall solid place for Korean-Japanese fusion!

This is our weekly spot! Fantastic sushi, hands down the best sushi in town. The owners, sushi chefs and the staff are amazing people, it's always a pleasure to see everyone, the extra hot sake, clear noodle and extra spicy Mayo is just the best! We always look forward to our week for Take Sushi!

Take Sushi has been absolutely incredible during COVID-19 times. Even when Michigan opened dine in service, they made the decision to stay carry-out only to keep their staff and customers safe. I have ordered carry out here almost every week for the past few months and they have not disappointed yet. Their sushi is always ready very quickly and they have never messed up an order. Every order comes with plenty of soy sauce, wasabi and ginger. A few weeks ago, just before Christmas, they gave me two handmade face masks with my order. And on New Years Eve, I got two sets of wooden chopsticks in a pouch. Not only is staff super kind and generous, but the sushi never disappoints either. Best sushi in metro Detroit!

This is probably one of my new favorite sushi spots in the Metro Detroit area! I got takeout from here recently and it was everything I wanted and more!! The rolls were super fresh and truly filled more than so many other places I've been too. I really appreciate how neatly everything was made and it was full of flavor. I got a mix of classic and special maki rolls and I loved it all. Some of my favorites from the special rolls was the Godzilla roll, the Spicy Salmon Crunch, and the Michigan Roll. We also got miso soup that tasted so good and soothing! I also feel like for the great quality of the food, everything was priced well. The takeout process was super easy- I called over the food and picked it up at the door in 25 min. The women working there were also so nice, made me smile. So excited to add this place to my rotation of favorite restaurants and to hopefully dine in once things return back to normal.

This Chicken Teriyaki was $16.95... they must be joking. I just paid close to $80 for meals here and I'll never go back again.

Is there a half off sushi day? If so, when is it? Thanks!

I don't believe so. Unless they run special deals randomly.

The miso soup came out first and was pretty standard. The Tako Su had large slices of octopus with plenty of cucumbers. It was decent, nothing standout. The gyoza was actually an accidental order because I thought I had ordered shumai. Looking back, I probably should've realized something was off when the server asked if I wanted them steamed or grilled. Ironically, they ended up being one of the better items. I took them home and even cold later on, they were still good. The sashimi appetizer had a nice variety and was probably one of the stronger dishes of the night. Unfortunately, the shumai completely missed the mark. It was very wet -- you can even see it in the photo -- and just not how shumai is supposed to be prepared. Personally, I think Asahi Sushi does this dish far better, including the sauce. The beef bibimbap was also disappointing for me. I love bibimbap served in a scorching hot stone bowl where the rice crisps up and caramelizes at the bottom. This lacked all of that. In my opinion, both Asahi Sushi and Sumo Sushi do bibimbap significantly better. If that's what you're craving, this wouldn't be my recommendation. As for the sushi rolls -- the S n T and White Tiger Roll -- they were just bland. Not terrible, not inedible, but very forgettable. Overall, my experience was okay, but nothing about it stood out enough to make me want to return. The servers were pleasant, but there were no recommendations or guidance offered, and the food never really moved beyond average. I ended up giving this place 2 stars for three main reasons: 1. The servers lacked recommendations or menu guidance. 2. The food overall was bland. 3. There are significantly better sushi options nearby. If you're looking for exceptional sushi, udon, and bibimbap, I'd personally recommend Asahi Sushi instead. It's only about 12 minutes away and, in my opinion, absolutely worth the drive for the quality, presentation, service, and overall experience.

Our server, Julie, initially seemed helpful when guiding us through the menu and recommending rolls. However, she suggested the Rainbow Roll despite us specifically mentioning that we don't like imitation crab, which it contains. She also recommended the Tokyo Roll, which ended up being nearly identical to the Rainbow Roll -- aside from the spicy tuna on top, they are the same roll. When the sushi arrived, it tasted extremely fishy -- to the point where we couldn't even take another bite. When we let her know that the fish tasted old and fishy, she literally looked at her watch and said, "Yeah, it's the end of the night," and then walked away, which was surprising and off-putting. We arrived an hour and a half before closing, but the staff seemed to be rushing us the entire time. Servers were coming to the table almost every two minutes trying to take our order, which made it hard to relax. We also asked for extra napkins at the beginning of our visit and never received them. I ordered miso soup and it never came out -- after telling her to forget about it, she later brought two cups anyway. It ended up being the worst miso soup I've ever tasted. Honestly, I didn't think miso soup was something you could get this wrong. The spicy edamame was undercooked but actually very tasty -- we loved the chili sauce it was coated in. The seaweed salad was average, but it was plated over a large amount of sliced radishes, which made it look like you were getting more seaweed than you actually were. For $8, especially after being reassured it would be enough for two people, we expected much more. The Seafood Yakisoba noodles were overcooked and the sauce was a bit too salty, though still edible. Overall, we left feeling rushed, disappointed, and still hungry -- but so turned off by the fishy taste that we didn't even want to go anywhere else to eat afterward. Hoping this was just an off night, but it wasn't the experience we expected.
