Ordered an appetizer and meal (C6). Been to this place MANY times and it's always good. Today my entree was not as described in the menu; not even close. I thought "it will be fine." The pork was so tough I couldn't chew it and the shrimp had no flavor and were cooked 10 times longer than they should have been. I ate three bites and went to pay. When asked about my meal, I indicated that it was not what was stated in the menu. The girl just said "I'm sorry." So I essentially paid for what I didn't order and she seemed fine with that. She should NEVER work with the public. True, I should have asked for a manager but she should have asked him to come up and take the incorrect meal off my bill. Last time to visit there! read more

Food is completely amazing. So amazing, I came with my family three times and we all chose the same dinner items each time. During our last visit, something was off. On my 3rd visit ordered a Thai Chicken with red sauce. Pretty good but not as authentic as I expected. Most disappointing were the children running around making lots of noise. They were playing in the restaurant that their family runs. Very loud and as I left I mentioned to them and no apology and even acted shocked as if it's normal. Probably won't be back. Someone next to me complained too. One child was even pulling some toy with wheels across the tile floors. Apparantly kids are there a lot. Other two visits the food was pretty good. Went to Pho Sizzle on 4/1/2012 it was awful. The food came out not as described. Meat was over cooked in the pho, not rare at all. Boiled meat and only 4 pieces of it. Bland and not worth $10.00 for a bowl of cheep noodles. Husband ordered Bulgogi, also not good and lots of fat. Environment was dim, hot and blared music. Was not attended to for about 20 minutes, not checked on and got up to go pay where we also sat and waited. We have had good Vietnamese food, this is not it. Don't waste your time or money. I really enjoyed my experience here, I'm not very big on Vietnamese food but the pho and quail I've tried here really got me thinking twice on it! The pho I tried was had some spice and kick but was very delicious and hearty with a really good size for its price. They serve good food, never had any complaints about the taste. The one complaint I do have is the fact that I pay EXTRA for shrimp and receive two (below average sized) shrimp. It is also usually cut with chicken as well?? I only eat seafood so it's quite annoying to have to pick out the small bites of chicken I did not ask for. Stop charging extra for two baby shrimp and cutting it with other random proteins that people may not eat. read more

Came here because I was craving some noodles and overall it was good but it needed more flavor maybe they need to add more condiments on the soup as they only had a few. I haven't tried there other food so my rating is only for the noodles although the ice cream and other dishes looked good might have to go back and try something different as for the noodles 1-10 i give it a 6 read more

First time here, ordered beef pho and Thai tea w bubbles. They are a new establishment and the interior is great! My pho was super yummy and all the ingredients were quality Although my tea was served with jellies instead of tapioca pearls, the owner was super sweet and got me a new one with fresh pearls. Decent food, absolutely horrible service. Waited 15 minutes for drink order. Tea was brown water, after complaining about it I was offered water. Everything about the service was slow and inconsiderate. I would expect this kind of service from a restaurant with every table filled, but not a restaurant with two tables on a Sunday. Was trying to enjoy lunch as well and either the owner or employee had their child there at the restaurant. He was climbing on tables, chairs and running around. My husband and I ate here on a Friday night. The place was very busy between takeouts and dine in. Dine in was pretty full for the COVID situation. We had shrimp and pork fresh spring rolls which were excellent. I had Thai curry. I ordered shrimp and got chicken. The owners are very humble people and made me a shrimp too plus they gave me an additional curry dish to try. It was all delicious even though I ate the the other the meals the following week and they were all delicious. We will be back. They have good variety on their menu, but Vietnamese is what they do best. They serve rolled ice cream and bubble tea which I have not tried, but will do it on another visit. read more

Was so excited to find a restaurant in this area serving something other than hamburgers and fries, but was incredibly disappointed to open my takeout box once I was home. I ordered veggie pad Thai and my meal consisted of a tray full of pale flat noodles, a small sprinkle of crushed peanuts, and three small pieces of broccoli that I had to root around to find. I think there was one long, narrow slice of green onion. That's it. Sauce was served on the side (and there wasn't much of it). So unappetizing to look at but most importantly- barely any vegetables in a vegetarian dish. I will not be returning to this place nor recommending anyone eat here. read more

We visited pho sizzle Saturday June 12th and I must say it was the best dine in experience I've had in such a long time! Our hostess/ server was bubbly and bright! They was just a pleasure to have serve us. They were Knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some great suggestions on what to order since it was our 1st time visiting. Also we'd never had Vietnamese pho before. They was just great , I can't wait to visit again their energy was just great! The. Restaurant was clean, . casual / fancy and comfortable if that's a thing! It was just a really nice environment with really friendly staff. The pho was good , I ordered a p6 beef pho with coconut bubble tea. The food was out fast ,and delicious, huge servings I might add, someone said Cheesecake Factory helpings, and I agree! I stop here often as it's close to the house. I would say it's just okay food. The broth in pho needs a little more depth and the atmosphere turns me off. Such a wonderful gem in Trussville!! I love having a great Vietnamese spot in the 'hood instead of having to hit the interstate. Excellent spring rolls, Bun (noodle) dishes, and Pho. The Bubble Tea is my absolute favorite. Matcha with strawberry boba being my go-to flavor. The dining room is simple, clean and bright and very family friendly. While she was getting our drinks a guy came and explained several items on the menu. We started with appetizer of something similar to egg rolls but not near as fat. They were so good! I ordered the pineapple fried rice & almost passed out when they brought it out! It was a half pineapple carved out stuffed with fried rice with chunks of pineapples, cashews, scallops, chicken & HUGE shrimp! It was simply amazing! My husband got something I forgot what it was called but was steak chunks in the most delicious sauce with potatoes. Next up rolled ice cream that I went up to counter & watched him make. Delicious pho! The owner is very sweet and the food is always great. There's a really good French press coffee drink with condensed milk that's made fresh when you order it, and the rolled ice cream is also very delicious, we like the one with fresh bananas! I was so excited to see Pho in Trussville, however I was very underwhelmed by their soup. No flavor at all, it simply taste like chicken broth and noodles; my husband and I had 2 soups that taste identical (1 seafood, 1beef). When you spend $30 on 2 soups and 2 orders of egg rolls you expect it to be good. The only reason I rated a 2 was because of the eggrolls. Definitely a top-notch Vietnamese restaurant. The Biggest one in the Birmingham area, and the only one in Trussville.(As of the date of the review) The customer service is very friendly. Food tastes much like traditional Vietnamese, but some modifications to favor the westernized foods. Price is good in relative to the portion and quality. The bubble tea is really good too.
