I was craving some Vietnamese food as saw this place in the Cypress area and it was actually really good! I only have one complaint which I'll say in a bit. The place inside is a good size Vietnamese shop, they have booths, tables with chairs, and the mix of one side booth and the other side chairs set up. I came with my boyfriend and we both got a vermicelli bowl as our entree and to start off with we got an order of their spring rolls. So here is where I have a little complaint. They use shredded lettuce almost like the kind you put on top of tacos and I did not like that. Using this kind of lettuce made it hard to dip the spring roll into the peanut sauce without the lettuce falling out and making a mess with eating. I would pass on the spring rolls next time. Now the bowls were super yummy! This was their redemption. I got the honey glazed pork with shrimp and the pork had a nice sweet taste to it, the shrimp was a little bland. They also added peanuts and some kind of fried onions to the bowl which was something different added a nice taste and texture. All of the bowls come with an egg roll as well. They do have some alcohol choices, and unfortunately their soda is in a can so I believe it isn't free refills. My boyfriend passed after being aware of this and just got water instead. I would recommend this place! Just maybe not the spring rolls, just my preference. read more

This location has retained all the delicious quality and authenticity from the original Pho Town location off of Jones and 1960. During my last visit, the manager came out to ask how our food was. My mom commented that the rice was a bit dry and without any hesitation, the manager ran to the back and got my mom a fresh bowl. So overall, fantastic food and wonderful service. Stopped in for lunch to go yesterday. I ordered the pork vermicelli and the spring rolls. The rolls were soft on the bottom where they were laying but tough on the top. Omg! Okay the reviews weren't joking , shrimp spring rolls are big and have carrot and cilantro a bit of tofu. The full spring roll, NOT HALF ASS. Also the small lunch pho is phenomenal. And already has it's spicy some union cilantro and salt pepper . So good and full. I will return here for sure. Clean place a little hard to get to on Barker Cypress but clear letters on the sign make sure you find it. When my plate came up I was excited to put it in my mouth. I hardly feel that way about pho. Ordered delivery. Warning: The cold cut banh mi contains only cha lua (ground pork sausage AKA ham). Weird. (I did confirm w/ the restaurant that was how they made it!) No store bought pate, or thit ba roi. Not like I was expecting housemade pate and mayo, but you can buy a 2 pound loaf for less than $10, so $6 for a sandwich is waaaaay overpriced. The bread was decent though. The banh pho (noodles) was, kinda, um, crunchy? Normally, I'd nuke my noodles before pouring the nuoc pho (broth), but the meats were already piled on top. I do appreciate that the packaging is in a usuable bowl container so I didn't have to scrounge in a disposable paper-type bowl. Tasty bo vien (meat balls), but TBH, you can buy good frozen ones and add them to any pho bowl. The other meats were good. As for the broth; I could smell the cinnamon and it was clear, as it should be, but too sweet for my taste. I also had the egg rolls with nuoc mam. Thought it was interesting they gave you an option to chose a different sauce. The egg rolls were fine, but the nuoc mam had a sweetness issue as well. I really wanted pho today because it was chilly outside and I was feeling a little under the weather at work, but I'd probably pass in the future and order from closer to home after work. read more

I drove by this place on my way home from work, I saw the "now open" sign and decided to stop by. I noticed when I went to the counter that in their mini fridges had containers of sauces that were not visually labeled or dated, seemed strange. Service wait was good, as I got my food to-go. I ordered online to pick up which was really nice. My order was ready when I got there and I told them my name. They needed to see the email confirmation so I had to back to the car to get my phone. Thought that was a little strange. The spring rolls were good but didn't care for the peanut butter sauce. It was thick, wish I had gotten something else. This is my favorite pho place near my house! We go here a few times a month. The base broth is already VERY flavorful before adding hoisin sauce - which is my test for how good pho is. I have been to the original location on Jones, and I also really like their base broth flavor. I recommend sticking to pho when you order here - the charbroiled pork dishes are good, but is not my favorite here. Back to the pho - they offer different sizes, which I really like. I'm really disappointed tonight. We showed at 9:30. The place closes at 10pm. We wanted to order two orders of the double vegan rolls....which are amazing by the way!!! The crispy eggrolls are delicious. I always order the beef pho and it always comes out consistent and delicious. The banh mihs are great and the vermicelli bowls too. The best place to get pho in cypress. There was another pho restaurant here in this same spot that had closed down sometime ago and was really bummed about for a while because after trying out several places around houston that was my favorite. Then we came across pho town 1 on 1960/jones rd and loved it and filled my pho void. But now I'm super stoked that this location opened since going down 290 can be a nutty most of the time. Only thing so far is that their fresh spring rolls are stuffed with shredded lettuce. Not a fan of that. Outstanding Pho! My wife and I always get the C1, a H2 banh mi sandwich and 2 shrimp spring rolls. They are delicious and among the best Pho we've tried in the Cypress area.
