I love seeing that at any moment that the owner has time to speak with her customers, she comes out and makes sure they're doing well and if there's anything that she can do for them. This is me and my husbands 2nd time going there and we love how caring they are no matter how long our order takes. I would definitely take the time to drive 15 minutes to go eat pho here no matter how much closer there's one closer to home. The food is amazing!! I could never want to go anywhere else. Funny to say, any time that I go anywhere else now, I feel terrible for skipping on Pho J. The feel of the restaurant when we walk in is so heart warming.

There were a few people picking up at the time we entered, but nobody else dining in. When one of the servers came with our cold waters, we placed our food order right away with her. We got two orders of the Pork Patty Spring Rolls, a Kids Meatball Pho, a Combination Pho, a Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl and a Vietnamese Pancake. After about 5 minutes, we got the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. Every single time we order them, they taste so good!!! Hits the spot whenever we visit this restaurant. Probably our favorite dish, actually. After we devoured the Spring Rolls, our entrees came out - Combination Pho and the Kids Meatball Pho. Then a few minutes later, the Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl came out. I normally like to pour some Sriracha and Hoisin Sauce into my Noodle Bowl along with the sauce it originally comes with. Mixing everything in all of that makes it that much more flavorful for me! Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the food and the service. The Pho broth seemed a little bland and not seasoned as well as before. Other than that, all of the other food items were tasty and to our liking. The restaurant itself has ample amount of space to sit at since there are plenty of seating and tables available. Parking outside is good, there are plenty of spaces to park at as well. There used to be a Big 5 Sporting Goods store, but since that's gone, parking hasn't been an issue at all. They have pretty decent Vietnamese food for reasonable prices and adequate portions.

Broth is flavorful, as with anything you make it how you want after the initial taste and i only add limes and chili oil with the added basil. Nothing else. Fun fact: sriracha and hoisin are meant to be on the side to dip in, not poor into the broth. Also what makes me come back here is the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. The added crispy crunch on the inside makes these next level with the dark Romaine and just enough noodles to not overwhelm them like other places. A little added tunes whether traditional or not would be great. Or maybe the sound from the TVs playing food videos from around Vietnam would be cool. The service is always good here they greet you and typically you can choose where to sit and they'll get your order as soon as possible. I love that they're very attentive as well they will check up on you after you get your food just in case if you need anything to be refilled or something else. I love that their bun bo hue has a lot of sate in it, and doesn't taste just like a clear broth that some restaurants serve. It even comes with the standard pork hock and pork blood, I know a lot of restaurants may omit that. I can't recommend it enough, it's a must try!! It is a little on the spicy side though if you're sensitive to it, but it was perfect for me. The service here is quick, although the restaurant itself is a bit small. I never had to wait for long though. I'll definitely be back during my annual Seattle trip!

I asked if any of the milk teas had any milk substitutes or lactose free. She said they did not have any substitutes. So I elected to try their fresh teas instead. I asked for a recommendation. She mentioned a few options and I decided to try their passion fruit tea with passion fruit topping. When I got the drink. I took a sip of it and the sweetness from the sugar was so overpowering i wanted to spit it out. I wish they had the option for 50% sweetness. I also shook the cup prior to mix it and it was still, that sweet... Also, it had a strange medicine like after taste. Im not sure if its from the passion fruit tea, or the topping, but it was not appealing and ive had many passion fruit teas at other places that did not taste like this. I can only speak for the fresh, passion fruit tea, but it was pretty awful, overlt sweet with a strange aftertaste. They do not have any milk substitutes, so if you want a milk tea drink, and youre lactose intolerant, you're out of luck.

After about 10 mins, our server came with the Spring Rolls and Bubble Tea. Then a few mins later, the Pho Soup was brought out. We were looking forward to a good meal to satisfy our craving after such a disappointing experience at a Dim Sum place in Auburn earlier. Enjoyed the Spring Rolls and the Combination Pho very much! Devoured them to feel satisfied after such a letdown at the previous spot we tried eating at since the quality of food was bad, we couldn't even finish.... Anyway, enjoyed our food here!
