We went for lunch, and the service was really good. The establishment was very clean. We ordered the pho sate and the banh mi grilled chicken. Both dishes were tasty! The only thing we noticed was that the broth could have had a stronger beef flavor, and there were a lot more noodles than broth. After reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. It was our last dinner before leaving the next day. So sad because all the food we've had were delicious. We've never been to a fast casual Vietnamese restaurant before and were intrigued by the concept. When we got here, we were able to get a table. The restaurant is medium in size, with both booth and regular seating being available. Most of the tables (specifically the ones in the middle) are separated by glass partitions and because we went in November, the partitions were decorated for Christmas. They were draped in synthetic green garlands and had red bows and ornaments hanging from them as well. Flat screen TVs mounted to the upper walls and corners played the news in silence too. After a big lunch, we weren't that hungry, so we decided to order a few items and shared with each other. We were given a paper and pencil and had to write our order down and give it to a server. We told her about our peanut allergy. We ordered the following: 110 Banh cuon song cha lua - Steamed rice flour rolls with ground pork and Vietnamese sausage. This was fresh and delicious. We were impressed at the effort that a fast casual place made with this order. This is time consuming to make and the fact that it's freshly made speaks volumes. 103 Goi cuon - Fresh rolls- we ordered it with shrimp and pork and loved it a lot as well. The rolls were soft and fresh as well. SW8A Fried fish sandwich combo- this came with a spring roll and a soda. This was delicious as well. Fish was nicely fried and the bread was nice and soft. 514 Com bo lac lac- sautéed beef cube with steamed rice- Daughter thought this was ok but she thought the beef was a little tough. She's had it at places where it's nice and soft. She also ordered a side of fried egg with that and loved that. Everything we ordered was 100% much better than the restaurants in NYC. I have always passed by this place and finally have it a try. Super impressed with the interior and how clean everything was. The servers were even cleaning/wiping the sauce bottles (which I'm used to always getting dirty and crusty sriracha lids) They had an excellent separate vegetarian menu with lots of items to choose from! Our server had even memorized the entire menu and knew everything by just the number. She was very knowledgeable about where she worked and the items on it. On the last page of the menu there is a "extra small side order" which all items are under $5 which is great if you have a friend you wanted to tag along who isn't too hungry! I'm so glad I discovered this place. It's so COVID friendly. There are glass separators between tables, very spacious, and they soak your utensils in hot water - most appreciated!!!! The service is fast on the side near the cash counter. On the other side, they don't see you so a bit slower service, but generally great! Most dishes are tasty and just right! I'm always in search of a good place for pho. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in for the first time. The restaurant was spacious and clean. Both times my husband and I've been here we've had excellent service accompanied with a hearty meal. Our test for pho places is always their spring roll and how they serve their peanut sauce. This place was okay. I would've liked the peanut sauce a bit thicker but that's just my preference. Otherwise, it had peanut bits and carrots that made it extra special. I ordered the house special pho the first time and Bun Bo Hue the second time. Both were excellent. Piping hot broth and very aromatic. Amid the pandemic restaurant eats it's a challenge to find a restaurant without the reservations. The meal was served with a light soup, ordered the grilled pork and chicken. It was good and tasty. The tea is served jasmine with rose water. The soup was a bit salty but if some rice noodles were added it would be perfect. It's the first time I was actually full from a vietnamese restaurant. I look forward to visiting again. For two people it was under $40. Food is on the salty side for me, but I'm sure it's just right for most people. Ordered 2 roll fresh rolls and a small pho (beef, tendon, tripe). Fresh rolls were really nice, im usually turned off by mints when theyre in there and i pull them out. However they have subtle mint flavour which compliment the roll nicely. Usually theyre overwhelming in taste so it was nice. Small pho, perfect size to go with the appetizer. Broth was flavourful. Less than 2 weeks later and sure enough, time for another round. Ordered a 207 D (spicy seafood pho, $12 XL), once again for takeaway. Got smart this time and ordered in advance over the phone. Order was ready and waiting by the time I arrived. Noticed that I was actually overcharged my first visit cuz the total was the right amount this time, duh I really am so slow at math but shouldn't be the customer's problem if they can't calculate, no? Nonetheless, love having the huge takeaway package to assemble and enjoy at home again. Noodles were also a thicker version than the previous order. I preferred these ones although I'm at a loss to know which are the consistent standard one should expect? Something to figure out when I order next time. Sorry folks too impatiently hungry for a photo but once again a lovely way to satisfy a soup craving at home without having to do it all yourself! The broth was oilier than the previous beef version I tried. Good spice level and still tasty. Also still leaves the fuzzy salty aftertaste you get from a lot of Asian takeout places but standard for the course I guess. I was pleasantly surprised at how good their food was. They have many options to chose from and a very extensive menu. The place is very modern and up to date, and the food arrived quite quickly. The chicken was very tender and the price point is awesome. I wanted to give 5 stars however, our waitress was not the greatest. When she picked up our order she seemed very confused by it although we copied it word for word off the menu. Also she never checked up on us to ensure everything was okay. Lastly, when she came to clean up our bowls, she came with a tray that still had soup liquid on it and almost spilled it all over my purse. First of all, the papaya and carrot in papaya salad is crunchy but the beef jerky is too dried and hard to bite. Moreover, the dish itself is too salty. Second, the fresh rolls is ok but the meat inside is not fresh at all, the sauce is better but still a little sweet for me. The one star is for the food. Came here for lunch with some friends and expected the same level of deliciousness as their Thornhill location but I was let down. I ordered the sate pho and it was spicy but the broth wasn't good at all. I've eaten over a dozen times at the other location and everything I ate was so good. The tea was lukewarm and extremely watered down. There was absolutely no taste to it. I wanted to order an egg soda but it costs $8. What in the highway robbery is this? No way. I said well there's something wrong with what we ordered because this other stuff is on top of it. She then said oh and that's a mix of egg, shrimp and some other stuff. Huh? I was so glad to hear that a second location of the infamous Pho place from Dufferin & Steeles opened up in Woodbridge (out of all places)! After several month of putting off my visit, I finally decided to try it. The restaurant is very spacious and there is A LOT of seating, maybe a little too much for the given location. That being said, the decor is crisp and resembles its original location. The menus were already placed on the table when we arrived which allowed us to order quickly. We ordered the Large Pho Xpress ($10.50), Fresh Rolls with Shrimp (S $5.75) and the Papaya Salad (S $8.00). The food came within the next fifteen minutes. The Fresh Rolls were nothing out of the ordinary and the sauce that came with the dish was very watered down & too sweet. The papaya salad was great! I didn't even leave a strand of food on the plate. The Pho was nothing out of the ordinary, I have had better, but I have also had worse. I think the food could definitely use some improvement, as the original location never disappoints. Overall, it's a decent neighbourhood Pho restaurant. My favourite pho restaurant has opened a second location near Weston & Hwy 7! So clean and the menu is just like the first location. I always get the *Pho đac biet - classic famous vietnamese soup with errthang *Pho Sate - same classic soup but SPICY *BÁNH CUON - rice noodle rolls with ground pork meat, dipped in fish sauce : my absolute fav appetizer! My friends love the rice dishes and pad thai. This restaurant is so clean and it doesnt have the tacky vietnamese decor you see that other restaurants. I can eat in peace. read more

Not a bad Vietnamese place but not my favourite. The meat in our pho was bit chewy and the price was higher than other restaurants. The grilled chicken didn't have that char taste either. No complains on fresh spring rolls. Pretty good. read more

It was a Sunday afternoon around 4:30pm and the place had 1 other table occupied, so we were seated and the place looks massive maybe because no one was there. The place was really clean, and compared to other pho joints this place was like a luxurious pho spot. Maybe because of the area... but still... My girlfriend and 1 both ordered a large bowl and shared a rice dish. We both got some beef and chicken noodle soup. Which were both really tasty. The rice dish was some grilled beef and chicken which was cooked nicely... Can't seem to find anything wrong with the place that's why I'm giving it a solid 5 star. Recommend the Bun 403 and the pho (no tomato based). I wouldnt recommend anything with pig blood if you have never tried it. The portion are massive. For Bun, get them to provide additional fish sauce to pour into it. Use the brown sugary sauce for Pho (in a bottle on the table). There are many pho places in vaughan for some reason. This one is definitely one of the better ones. Place can seat alot of people. Parking is easy. Size of food is ridiculous if you get xlarge (can feed 2 easily). I gave it 4 star because the service was a bit off this time. Girl was chatting up front and took forever to put order in. She didnt look pleased either. Maybe a bad day for her. I was in the area early for a meeting, so based on Sandy B's review I decided to try it out. I ordered my usual reference dish: Seafood Pho. The noodle soup part of this dish is pretty straightforward and kind of hard to screw up. It's the seafood that tells the tale. This dish contained a couple large, perfectly cooked, succulent shrimp with tails on. Also, the calamari was beautifully tender-not chewy at all. There was also a few pieces of the obligatory artificial crab stick. Overall, the seafood was all quite good although I would have appreciated a touch more in the protein department. Their broth is perfect, especially with their satay sauce. I'm pretty picky with the flavour of the broth, whether if it's too salty or just too watered down. But this place is defiantly a GEM. Finally got to try the new location. Very glad they opened a minute walk from my workplace! Had the pho as usual. Same great depth of flavor as original location and generous quanitity. This place just opened up recently and I went there this afternoon for takeout. I ordered the Freshrolls and porkrine rolls and they were very good. The wait staff were super friendly. I will have to come back for a sit in soon. There are a few other Pho restaurants in the area ... but this place is way better. Even for pickup ... the servers provide tea while I waited. We looked to Yelp for pho after visiting a children's play gym in the area and we aren't familiar with the area. Pho Viet Express was in a quiet plaza and had ample parking. The restaurant is large and clean. Bathrooms are clean, bright and have baby change tables key for us as we are two young families. They also had many Fisher Price booster chairs available for the kids. The staff was very friendly. The pho and the spicy rice noodle soup I had were great. Good portions of meat in the bowls.
