I have so far only ordered Pho to go, but it has been very delicious. They package everything very well and have specific pho/soup to go containers making it very easy to enjoy. I mainly stick to Chicken Pho. The flavoring of the broth is very delicious, there is a good amount of meat and noodles and plenty of fresh onion and cilantro. The parking lot is a bit tight, and can be hard to find a spot, even to run in and do a pickup. read more

First off, I'm very picky about my bun bo hue. Their broth was AMAZING that I had to take it home! I never encountered a Vietnamese restaurant that uses pho noodles instead of the usual bun hence the name. I wish they added pork blood just like how other places do. I was a bit confused that they charged me 50¢ for a to-go box while the to-go cup for my thai tea was free. Nevertheless, one of the best broths I've had. I want to say they definitely upgraded the flavor of their broth from when I had originally tried it several years ago. I'm glad I gave them a second chance and realize now I almost missed out on some great pho. The broth was super flavorful. Broth Grade: A I ordered the XL size bowl of pho because I felt a bit under the weather and I was really hungry. There was plenty of noodles. I did wish I had more basil for the size of bowl I had. The meats were standard. Grade: B Service was pretty good. I came during a lunch rush. I was lucky in that I got the last table. Many people were grabbing takeout orders due to the time. I expected a lot and I received what I asked for of the staff. Service Grade: A Thai Iced Tea was ok. It was neither horrible nor great. Grade: B Spring Rolls were decent. The rice paper had a good chew. Grade: B+ Extra Info: The place itself is located on the corner of Old County and Holly across from 7-Eleven. The noise level was fine while I was there. Have gone here off and on for well over a decade. Had the itch to go back for some pho today. Probably never again. That was the saltiest pho I've had that I can remember. The broth was also the fattiest, but I don't deduct anything for that as I know that's sometimes a bonus for some. It was also quite expensive for what I got. Our kids love this place and we enjoy it too; it's one of those regular spots for a quick, delicious meal, especially if it's chilly out. My son gets the chicken pho, my wife and daughter each get a bowl of beef pho, and I'll switch between pho and vermicelli depending on how I'm feeling. We usually also all share an order of spring rolls. It's all tasty and the service is super friendly too. It's fun to watch whatever Vietnamese cooking videos is playing on the TV during a meal. We didn't come much until having a bad bowl of pho at another restaurant (SC Noodle House) and were looking for a nearby option to get that experience out of our heads. We finally dined in here. The owners and waiters were so nice and attentive. Inside was clean and warm (although the colored loghting is an interesting choice hehe). The large pho was a good size and the broth is good. We loved the imperial rolls which came with lettuce, noodles, and some pickled carrots/daikon to eat with (will definitely get that again)! My husband got the bun w/ filet mignon; it was pricey but the beef was cooked very well and flavorful! Overall I think the pricing is mostly fair and the food is great. This pho was so surprisingly good. I got the Pho Tai and it was delicious. Very flavorful broth that doesn't need anything added too. Although I do like my broth a little spicy so I do pop in a little sriracha. I also grabbed some imperial rolls which were also quite tasty and hot. The pho here is sooo freaking good. The broth is rich and flavorful. Noodles are chewy. Meat is tender, I love their brisket and meatballs. The thai tea is also strong and so good with the pho. The fish tank is so iconic and there's a decent amount of seating. Service is amazing. I love the couple that owns it, they're always attentive and nice. The water seems to be unfiltered tap water and is lukewarm. The water kinda smells like fridge water if you know what I mean. Excellent service. Chicken soup did not taste at all like chicken. It had slices of chicken but no flavor. If you add chicken bouillon cubes it gets flavor but otherwise has none. Didn't taste anything else so can't comment on other food. Nice people. Clean and easily accessible. Safe parking. Answering the question what could improve: the broth for the chicken soup needs to have some flavor. Maybe include chicken flavor packets? I came here with friends to enjoy some pho and catch up. Pho Vinh is located in a complex on a busy street and thankfully they had their own parking. We came a bit early so there was plenty of parking available. If you come when it gets busier, that may not be the case. The restaurant was relatively empty when we we seated and the server who took our order was really quick to ensure we were able to order. If I could give ZERO stars, I would! This was honestly the worst dining experience I've ever had. We should've known to leave the moment our water came. One of us asked for hot water, but we got lukewarm, cloudy tap water that looked like it came straight from a sink. Gross. Then came the food -- and it only got worse. The pho was completely flavorless, no aroma, and the meat tasted spoiled. The Bún Gà looked like it had been sitting out all day -- dry, tough, and unappetizing. The "fresh" coconut water was a total scam -- maybe an ounce of real coconut mixed with tap water, and the coconut meat was freezer-burnt. Disgusting. The only thing even halfway decent were the egg rolls, but those were obviously frozen store-bought ones just fried up. The interior of the restaurant was as bad as the food -- old, uninviting, and depressing. Everything was overpriced, bland, and poorly prepared. This place has the nerve to call itself authentic Vietnamese food? What a joke. read more

Give this small mom-and-pop place a try! There are a number of parking spots in the plaza, and we've never had an issue finding parking. Pho Vinh is owned and operated by a friendly Vietnamese couple. Service is always very prompt and welcoming. We've been seated immediately every time we've gone, and food comes out quickly and piping hot. We've tried a number of items, from their pho to bbh to spring rolls and everything is great. My mom ate here, and she had a walker and there was only one other table, and they were telling her her walker was in the way even though we put it in the corner. Pho was meh. Got the bun bo hue here but they don't use the round noodles, but instead the rice vermicelli type which you get with usual pho. That was a bit disappointing. Sadly though, I sent it back after a few bites because there was a sizable gnat in my soup. They offered to replace but it honestly just wasn't good - it didn't have a depth of flavor. The bon bu hue pho I had here was not authentic. I was my first time here giving this place a try because I know someone named Vinh fast like here. I have never seen bon Bo hue pho with regular pho noodles instead of the round noodle. It's missing cha pork blood pork meat and more and the broth is from frozen concentrated broth and mix with water. The way they served their bon Bo hue should be called spicy noodles served with beef brisket tendon and pho noodles. It's nothing like a bon Bo hue comparing to any pho places in SJ. read more

The service is fine as I usually order my food for take out. I usually get Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and they never have the traditional thick noodles that is served with them which is disappointing given I love that type of noodle paired with the soup. But besides that, the soup base is decent and flavorful. I recently got their steak and brisket pho and it wasn't that flavorful. It didn't have the strong beef flavor to it that I always look forward to when taking a sip of the broth. The noodles were pre cut, so reheating it to eat was a bit weird since it was just small pieces of noodles. I used to come here for the pho and their yummy broth. I don't eat a lot and one day years ago I stumbled on the shrimp spring rolls. I just love them and always order them these days. I've gotten friends on board and we all get them now. Fresh. Nicely made. Simple. Satisfying and adore their peanut sauce (usually need two for an order)! The pho is very good too. As noted their broth is quite tasty. I prefer the thin sliced beef In my pho. They do a good job on the lean thin cut. I can't do cilantro and these folks are respectful of that quirk. And don't make mistakes. Overall. My favorite place for shrimp spring rolls. Not even going to try anyplace else. I did once and was disappointed. Why mess with success? My friend thought the shrimp would be more expensive so ordered the grilled chicken spring rolls. She said they were fine but will order the shrimp next time. The price is the same. Back in town and didn't want to make the trip all the way down to South Bay, so we stopped by here. I got the combination pho and it was solid all around. Broth was balanced across flavors so it wasn't super salty or cinnamon forward. Noodles were that right place of being tender. Beef was tender too. It's a small shop inside but we went when it was slow. The one thing I'll pick at is the pricing. $15 is basically the minimum price to buy a regular bowl of pho. Goes up more by a dollar and some change depending if you increase the size of the bowl (large or extra-large). Maybe this is the new normal but not usually something I'm used to paying for pho. read more
