Great little place. We placed a takeout order, and the ordering experience was fairly easy. Information on which soups were made with a vegetarian broth was lacking, but that's the kind of thing you could call the restaurant to figure out. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and parking was fairly straightforward. In terms of the food, the ingredients were surprisingly fresh. The garden salad was essentially iceberg lettuce with cherry tomato and cucumber, but that was perfectly refreshing alongside some of the other dishes. The bun bo hue was nicely seasoned, with noodles and fresh ingredients served on the side. The veggie banh mi was quite good, and packed with more vegetables than we expected (broccoli, bell peppers, onion, plus the typical jalapeño, pickled daikon, cilantro). We ordered fresh rolls with crab, and they were okay, but not spectacular: next time we might opt for shrimp. The Kim's delight entree offered some nicely fried tofu and fresh vegetables, but it was fairly heavy on the noodles (not a problem, but be prepared). All told, this was a nice takeout destination. I'm going to say this place is fairly new as I live a 5 minute drive away and never saw it but couldn't confirm how new. Anyway I'm so glad a pho place in Brentwood, what a surprise! I ordered curry chicken to go with request of 7/10 spiciness through the yelp/restaurant website and was pleasantly supposed they attached a $5 off coupon for new customers. It was ready pretty quickly, easy parking lot in the immediate lot and seemed to be a pleasant atmosphere if i was dining in. The portion was enough for two meals, different take on curry than I am used to but was a good take on it - very flavorful, satisfying and look forward to keeping them in business in my neighborhood! read more

Mediocre at best... I ordered the Com Deluxe. Based on the menu, it's supposed to come with fried eggs, it came with one egg. It was supposed come with sausage, it came without the sausage. It was supposed to come with slices of tomatoes...no tomatoes. I'm pretty sure I will be charged the same price even with the missing items. Not sure how this place got 4.7 stars read more

Woke up craving pho and some of my usual places were closed so we tried pho51 and loved it! I got the bunbohue which was out of this world! The spicy lemongrass is one of my favorite flavor profiles. It was superb and would absolutely come here for this again! Others in my party had regular pho, japanese ramen, general tsos, and thai crispy chicken. I had a bite of the general tsos and it was delicious, one of the best I've had! Our server was great too. There's a sign in the door that saigon88 which i frequent often because it's near my office is their sister restaurant. Great place, check it out! read more

Cute cafe with lots of plants and bookshelves full of books! They have WiFi for you to use as well! We ordered the pho combo (beef balls and beef) the broth was so flavorful! The best pho I've had here in Pittsburgh! We also got the com deluxe which is a rice dish with pickled veggies and cucumbers. It comes with marinated pork, chicken and sausage. The marinate was delicious and it was grilled perfectly. They also have banh mi! Which was great, toasted baguette with all the fixings! Services is always great here! I was really excited when this place was first opening up and had driven by the "coming soon" sign for weeks getting so excited for the day they'd open up. I am new to PGH having moved out here a year ago from Portland, Oregon where you can find pho restaurants on almost every other corner. I was extremely lucky to have worked in an Asian market for a few years and gathered heavy intel on where to go and where to avoid, what to eat and what to skip and a few secrets that got me some not on the menu perks. This does not mean I am a pho exert at all! Just that I was really lucky to have many many many bowls of pho in my life. So, when I found out one was opening up so close, I was sooo excited! i waited a little past opening month and came to visit. As a new place, I know they are still working out the kinks so that's something to keep in mind. Overall, I enjoyed it, but not much more than the two other places I went to. I am really staying optimistic that this place will only get better and I do intend on coming back in a few months. The atmosphere is nice and you almost forget you're on Clairton which is great, unfortunately parking is not great but what can you do? The place is pretty small, but not crammed, you can hear other tables but not obnoxiously (I guess that depends on the persons huh?) If you're looking for an intimate spot, I would say.. maybe this is it? There is a TV which was showing the news, which was a bit of a distraction and kind of killed the vibe. I appreciate the lo-fi vibes playing, It definitely added to the ambience. Seating, pretty comfortable. Like I said, this place is new so a limited menu is a smart idea, but I was really hoping that there was going to be more Pho varieties. Sadly, just three options and that's just a variety of proteins not actual variety. I was hoping to find a 'Pho special" like most places have, where is the Bo vien (beef meatballs), Tai (eye-round steak), Chin (well-done brisket), Nam (well-done flank), Gau (fatty brisket), Gan (soft tendon), Sach (tripe)? You walk into Pho51 and are greeted by a cozy atmosphere and calm music. The large glass windows provide a lot of natural light while still blocking the hum of route 51. To drink, We enjoyed crystal clear ice water and a variety of boba teas. We were unimpressed by the appetizers. We had crab rangoons, firecracker shrimp, and complementary spring rolls. We didn't care for any of them, unfortunately. Would not recommend this place for the classic Asian apps. Fortunately, our entrees were EXCELLENT. They were massive portions with a fair amount of protein. Each bite was packed with flavor. You can order your dish spicy or not. The sauce on my Shaken Beef dish was excellent, with crispy and colorful sautéed veggies. The ramen bowls are beautifully arranged. Our waiter was attentive, despite being on duty by himself, running the entire front of the restaurant alone. read more

This was my first time eating it. I got the vegetable soup (LOVED IT!), general tso's chicken while my friend got the shaken steak. Soooo good! We split a BanhMi which was also very delicious and spicy. It was my friend's first time having their food and he love it so much that he said he will be taking his mother there as well as ordering again grub hub for delivery. My friend and I work near this place so we decided to try it out and everything from the food to service was excellent ! We ordered the Saigon spicy ramen, Japanese ramen, fresh shrimp/crab spring rolls, and crab rangoons. Everything we had tasted great and they were very generous with sauces and toppings for the ramen. The service was friendly and quick, and they also gave us an extra appetizer (fried egg rolls) on the house! My husband and I decided last minute to stop in to Pho51 to get takeout to go. We were thoroughly surprised when it literally only took 10 minutes to have piping hot food ready to go. The man working the cash register was super nice and helpful. My husband had ordered a banana Boba, which he loved, and while I was contemplating getting one for my own - I ultimately decided against it. In 10 minutes, I was pleased to get our food and the waitor working there had already prepped me a Boba tea on the house to go. he knew I was on the fence about getting one. From now on, I will not be skipping the Boba. The strawberry he gave me was really tasty! This place will be our new comfort spot. My husband got the Thai curry, which is honestly the best we've ever had. It was so tasty and so flavorful. I literally cannot get over how much flavor they packed into that curry. I got the Japanese Ramen with char -siu pork and pork broth. This was the first time ever having this dish and I was thoroughly surprised with how great it was!
