I ordered take out from here and I would definitely love to come back in person. We got the pad see ew, Thai chicken, and pork Japanese ramen, as well as some bubble tea. Pad see ew is one of my favorites and this one was just alright. The noodles were a little mushy. I like the crispy Thai chicken better, but the ramen...OMG. The broth alone was insane and I loved all the fresh toppings - bean sprouts, Thai basil...and the noodles were bouncy and delicious. The only bummer was the fried egg on top - I definitely prefer a soft boiled egg. Overall a 3.5 experience but looking forward to trying more! read more

I cannot stop thinking about the takeout I had from here last week. This is the absolute best meal I've had lately! The portion sizes were generous, food was ready on time, and staff was helpful. We ordered the Thai curry and the Thai Crispy Chicken, and both were flavorful and very different from each other. We also tried a Monster Roll which tasted fresh, with nicely sized pieces. The bubble tea was also great, and the staff was quick to fix an issue when the wrong boba were in the drinks. Parking was a little tough, but I am still excited to go back! read more

Maybe we were just there on an off night, but not so great. I ordered Japanese Ramen with chicken broth and chicken. The broth was ok, but the chicken was not good - rubbery and strange texture and taste. I took it all out and set it on a plate and ate the noodle broth. I did bring it to the attention of our server and she said she'd let them know and that was that. The noodles seemed just like overcooked spaghetti not fresh. $18 We probably won't try here again unfortunately. Place seemed clean and otherwise service was nice. read more

4/1/2023 Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday. We had the Pork Bulgogi Fries. Amazing. We were looking for the jalapeños but nevertheless it was good. We had the Fried Eggs with Scrimp, served with bokchoy and rice. It was a very large serving. I would definitely get again. Whatever the sauce was added flavor and depth. Service was great. I was excited to visit this restaurant. I used to live in D. C. , and there are SO MANY Vietnamese restaurants there. I had come to truly love their cuisine. The space is beautiful and very clean. When I came inside, I was the only customer. I sat at a corner table where there was an outlet to charge my devices. I looked over the menu. Everything sounded so good! I ordered two appetizers, the fresh tofu spring roll and the bowl of wonton soup. Because I'm on a reducing diet, I ordered a Diet Coke. When the waitress brought my drink, she just clunked the bottle down on the table. I had to ask for a glass! The appetizers came, they were both good, but the wonton soup was spectacular! I think they use the beef broth with Star anis that is in the pho. Yum yum! I ate the California roll next. Then when my entree, the poke bowl, arrived, I realized I would not be able to eat it. They had a bookshelf in the corner so I grabbled a book and started reading about the Trojan war. So interesting. The staff was fine with me hanging around. Our first night in Pittsburgh we takeout from Pho Saigon. What attracted me to their menu was the amount of vegetarian options hey had! We opted to try a few things so we could try a little bit of everything: - Vegetarian tofu banh mi - Fried tofu appetizer - Vegetarian egg rolls - Fries (cuz why not?) The banh mi was really great, but holy hell was it spicy. I can definitely handle my spice, but they had some very fresh jalapenos on those, that weren't fully de-seeded so the sandwich definitely had a kick. The tofu inside was really tasty though. It was like a sesame/garlic spicy type of sauce and fried really well. We think it was the same tofu as the one in the tofu appetizer. Considering it's hard to find any decent Vietnamese food near me at home, I was pleasantly surprised by Pho Saigon despite the spiciness. I'd give this place a shot if I were you! read more

Second time here. My daughter loved the Pad Thai and my sushi was excellent. Service was better with normal silver ware and plates.

Unfortunately, I wanted to love this place but I didn't. This is definitely a order at the counter then sit down type of restaurant because the service wasn't great! The waitress came to take our order and brought our food and we had to go to the counter for everything else we needed. I even had to go up and get our bill and pay once we were done eating. They also serve everything in paper bowls except the noodles. We asked for 3 waters and bottle water and charged for it. I should have been informed of that but wasn't. Although the esthetics was inviting and colorful it was lacking in all other categories! I ordered the "combo" bun Bo hue. The menu was not detailed to what the soup all came with. My husband got the "combo" pho. Both "combo" only comes with chicken and shrimp, although there menu consists of beef meatballs shrimp etc etc. we did ask about it and she said combo means shrimp and chicken. Which I found odd because we have gone to multiple pho restaurants in our life and combo usually means a little bit of everything! The pho definitely lacked in broth flavor! It looked more like a pho ga (chicken pho). The bun Bo hue want great either! It wasn't spicy, It wasn't lemongrassy, very bland broth! And tradition BBH had pork loaf and beef so when the combo BBH was received I was a little taken back, also BBH traditionally comes with vermicelli noodles and this came with rice pho noodles, which was not what I was expecting! But the menu doesn't detail any of that!! We got two pork Banh Mi and they were good! Better then I've had at other places here in Pittsburgh! Although we did find a hair in one of the sandwiches. The crispy dumplings were delish. Cooked to perfection, crispy but a melty interior. The sauce was sweet to balance the dumpling. I had pho with beef and overall it was a good dish for takeout pho. The broth itself was extremely flavorful but the beef itself was tough to chew. read more

This is a good place to scratch your itch for Pho, but definitely not top pick. Seasoning is one level and lacking layers. Spring rolls were good, but the shrimp was only a texture, no flavor. Big turn off was the plastic and foam used to serve, wish they had invested in actual ceramic dishes (pho did come in a plastic bowl that can be washed and reused). Service was pretty spotty, more interested in their phones than in checking on customers. Music way too loud for the place, but if you like talking loudly like you are at a packed bar, I guess it works. Would we go back? The bread was awesome, and let's face it that's a key part of a good banh mi. The meat was very good, so second key part down. Good, crunch, pickled veggies? Nope. I ordered a milk boba tea also which was definitely disappointing. The boba balls were gross and had the texture of hard vasaline and not how they should be. The tea itself was just water with sugar. One of the only Vietnamese places I am willing to frequent. Newly opened a few months ago, the shaken beef rice dish with a meatball soup on the side is my go-to meal after work. They open late! The beef carpacio sald is an honorable mention as well. Too bad no dine-in right now because the decor inside is bright and well decorated. I am glad I have a choice for Viet now! Yay! read more

SO. GOOD. This was my first experience ordering Vietnamese, but I heard so many good things about Pho Saigon, I wasn't too worried. And they did NOT DISAPPOINT! My husband and I ordered takeout for dinner, because COVID, but I believe their dine in was open. We ordered a plethora of goodies such as the bulgogi fries, the dumplings, pho beef, the COM jasmine rice, and the banhuot noodles with pork (told you!). I don't have a negative thing to say about any of them honestly. The dumpling were very crispy as described and the bulgogi fries are a MUST! As far as the entrees, you get a lot of food! I'm new to the banhuot (thick) noodles, which were delicious, but I'd probably go with the bun vermicelli (thin) next time. My husband loved the pho beef and com jasmine rice! It all came seperated from the broth, so it isn't soggy when you got home. I cannot wait to order from Pho Saigon again! The service was extremely nice and the lady explained things to me that I was unsure of, without judging haha. Branch out and try it! read more

I frequently go to the Saigon 88 Express in Robinson, and when I found out they had a sister restaurant in Bethel with some different menu items, I knew I had to give it a try. I can say this place is incredible just like Saigon88! The bulgogi fries with pork were so tasty. I was so excited to see the bahn uot (thick rice noodles) were on their menu. Saigon had taken this item off of their menu (it's my favorite dish they had), so I was pleasantly surprised. I would actually drive out this way for that dish! I highly recommend the boba teas too. Everything is pretty reasonably priced, so if I were you I'd give a couple menu items a try and share things with everyone (or sample things for yourself!). I tell everyone about these restaurants, and I will continue to do so! Please give them a try, and support them during this time. read more

Got some takeout from here tonight, still amazing. I ordered the bunbohue noodle soup with beef. They were a little skimpy on the meat portion but everything tasted great. Mom ordered the chicken com tam, and this might have been the best. I don't know how they season it but it kind of tastes like a cookie, but in a really good way. Hope that made sense! I've only ever gotten take out it delivery but I cannot say enough good things about the pho here! Veggie pho with tofu is my go to. The broth is oh so delicious. Large portion size as well which always lasts me for two meals! Husband always gets the general Tso's so it must be good! Also, the mango and honey dew bubble tea is on point! So delicious! If you've never had bubble tea, try it! High recommend! Some day I'd love to eat in! read more

My daughter and granddaughter and I went to this restaurant expecting to have a very good meal because we've heard that their food was good. The soup was good, but the rest of the food we got was terrible. We got the happy combo appetizer and everything on there was grossly over fried to the point of being dark brown, hard to bite into and anything inside was mushy. That also goes for the shrimp tempura. They were over fried and no texture on the inside at all just mushy soggy whatever it was, but I'm not convinced that it was actually real shrimp. It's almost like everything was frozen and old and again grossly over fried. I had the child fund with beef and the noodles were so thick and gloppy and gooey it was like slimy noodles and I've had child fun at many other places, but this was terrible. I don't remember exactly what my daughter got. I'm thinking it was Thai chicken or something like that and it was so salty that you couldn't eat it. $107 wasted on lousy food.
