I moved into a new home and the air conditioning was not working at all. It turned out that there was a major leak in the American Standard evaporator coil. I tried to get my Home Warranty company to deal with the issue and they sent me several contractors who were very frustrating to deal with and claimed that they could not complete the job. That's when I got in touch with Phoenix. They were awesome. Not only did they take care of everything with the repair (which was pretty complicated because they needed to order a part from the warehouse), but they also helped me deal with the Home Warranty company. Holly and Sam communicated very clearly and professionally. I always felt like they were really on my side and wanted to get my issues fixed quickly with a high quality of work. I had to re-enter this review which was initially submitted when logged in via google and not my original Yelp account -- I had Phoenix install a new AC and furnace in my home back in May 2019. Initially, I consulted with 5 different companies and listened and learned as I went. I was not looking for the cheapest, and I got quotes from those that represented the top AC brands including Costco/Lennox. Phoenix rescheduled and delayed the appointment for a quote a few times, but I was patient. What I learned from the appointment was that Phoenix was committed to educating their workforce and keeping up with the HVAC industry - during installation time I had conversations that reinforced this view. Lots of listening for information. Also the appointment/inspection was one of the most thorough I had and the scope work quoted included much needed repairing/improving of ducting and registers. The quote I received for an American Standard HVAC system was very competitive. I researched industry websites for any problems Phoenix may have had, and found a clean business. The installers Guillermo and Ian were efficient and installed the new system in a few days. Guillermo even went out of his way for an odd request I had. No installation is perfect, but I would not hesitate to recommend getting a quote from Phoenix for your HVAC needs. Cheers read more

I had a state of the art Heat Pump and under floor ducting (crawl space) designed, permitted, installed, checked out and passed City of Laguna Woods Inspection first time by Phoenix. This design is silent, effective and has a SEER rating of 20 (highest efficiency in cooling mode). Cowboy managed our project and he was the only one of the three companies we met with that spent more than 25-30 minutes examining the house before providing a quote. They installed a brand new unit 4 years ago but NEVER put the air filter in .. even after 1 maintenance still no filter .. now the unit has damaged and somehow the filter magically disappeared because it was listed on their invoice .. I explained to Phoenix that my elderly mother was recovering from an illness and they went out of their way to squeeze us in on the same day I called them. Our technician showed up that afternoon and was extremely knowledgeable polite and accommodating. They were very honest with what repairs we needed and made every attempt to save us money.
