Oktoberfest! Food:4* Service: 5* Ambiance: 4* Entertainment: 5* Variety: 5* Now in its new location on Central in Brea. Same great time, smaller venue, same good food and a great selection of German beer on tap. We will be back next year!

Our relative recommended trying out the Phoenix Club, and I liked the food served here. We had the crispy chicken schnitzel fingers with spätzle, classic BLT, Ruben sandwich, and potato pancakes with apple sauce. The sandwiches came as large portions. With the fries, my family got full. The potato pancakes tasted good and had a nice texture. I appreciated that they didn't fall apart. The chicken schnitzel tasted good, and the breading stayed intact. However, apart from the basics of cooking chicken, they didn't feel that special to me. I finished the schnitzel relatively quickly, and its portion size wasn't as big as that of the sandwiches. The spätzle was a new dish for me. It doesn't have many ingredients to it, so I'd describe it as not flavorful. Service went well, and our food came to us in about 20-30 minutes. When we arrived at noon, they had a few tables already reserved and occupied with guests. The ambience was lively, but it occasionally got loud. Overall, I liked the food, but the flavors of the dishes, especially from the schnitzel, didn't impress me much.

The Bierstube is back at The Phoenix Club and it's a very similar experience. I was glad to see a very similar menu and the same mix of beers on tap. I have always loved their take on the Reuben and it's still great. My wife enjoyed a packed BLT. Both were accompanied by their battered fries and cold beers. Glad to see a solid lunch crowd at the new location.

Great as always! Huge new Bierstube!!! This bar area is larger than the old space, but I believe there will no longer be a formal restaurant (Lorelai?). Had Jagerschnitzel, sadly no beer... back to work. Met some fabulous new friends Heinz and Fritz. Nice to see this place back in action.

Delicious food, I had the SchweinSchnitzel. The service was spot on with an attentive waitress. They were having a Carnival party which was cool to see as well. I would definitely recommend.

Came (for the first time) to Oktoberfest, we got the tickets on line, included parking. We got early, so there was plenty of room, parking and tables. From the Oktoberfest menu, we had the pork schnitzel and the smoked bratwurst. Sides were potato salad, knödel and we added extra: cheese sauce. The music was ok, we enjoyed the traditional dances and costumes, even the chicken dance! They had a great selection of Oktoberfest beers and for the first time I tried the Paulander Lager, I loved it. It's a cool location to celebrate Oktoberfest away from places that are too crazy. As the night progressed, it got more and more crowded and the lines for food and drinks significantly slowed down the speed of service and the lines were just too long!! Lines were so long that blocked the view from the tables to the main stage. We decided to leave then. It was fun and I'd give them a try again in future years .

First time at their new location. Very nice decor, very friendly, prompt service. Food was amazing.

Authentic German food, tasty, served relatively quickly with friendly service. The bratwurst was cooked to perfection. Sauerkraut tangy but not overpowering. Spetzle homemade. Warm rolls. Hearty Goulash. Comfort foods galore.

We had a great meal at The Phoenix Club. The restaurant was packed when we arrived but we fortunately got a table within a few mins wait. The servers were friendly and helpful. A kids menu, kids cups and coloring supplies were provided which we appreciated. The food was all delicious - pretzel with cheese dip, Reuben sandwich, sausage plate, and two kids meals, plus desserts. We enjoyed every bite and the portions were generous. There was a club event going on so the atmosphere was lively and fun.

This is the best place to come to in Orange County for some good old fashioned German delights and German hospitality! It's our second time coming here and the experience, service and food was equally delightful and fantastic as our first time dining in experience! The ambiance is very cozy and lovely. Plenty of seating with ample space for all. The service is phenomenal. The food is truly marvelous! My husband ordered the special - The Germano Sandwich and I got to taste it! It was a work of art or must I say, a work of heart! I ordered (2) sausage plates - oh yeah! Lol Plate 1- bratwurst and smoked bratwurst with a side of red cabbage. The red cabbage tastes so much like sweet beets. I was not a fan of the red cabbage but it's fine as the bratwurst and smoked bratwurst were amazing! Plate 2 - knackwurst and hot polish with a side of sauerkraut. Chef's kiss to this one! Yummy all over! Out of all 4, my favorite was the hot polish. Superbly delicious! Also, I had a mai tai. They don't have a cocktail menu but they can make whatever you want. They were very generous in their pour! Loved it! This is definitely one of our top fav places to eat in Orange County. We will certainly come back. Oh yeah! Cheers! Danke schon!

I know there's a vegan brat. I've had it every time. It's delicious! When will they bring back the veggie schnitzel too?

Hi Anita, Some of those old pictures etc. describe items from the past. We are working to have those removed. We do have a veggie bratwurst on a vegan pretzel bun. Thank you for your inquiry, Linda…

Is the new location in Brea open yet? If not, when is it due to open?

Open today, April 11. They tell me this is their second day!

Trying to call but no answer. Are more tickets being released online for 10/8 Oktoberfest? It's sold out as of right now.

Hi 4 tickets were exchanged so there are 4 right now. Unfortunately there are none to release. Thank you, Linda

Hi! I'm getting married and I would like to book a tour for this venue. Is there any way I can come look at it sometime this week?

Hello oh definitely they are open for that now and are Brest and friendly I think they have packages for that too and provide menu and servers if you like But gotta call them…

How big are the beer pours for Oktoberfest?

Will you be showing the champions league final this sunday?

yes we will be showing it outside. Reservations are recommended, so if you plan on coming down let us know how many so we can save you a table.

Can we bring in our own steins?

Hello Lan, Yes, you are welcomed to bring your own stein. Prost!

But now I don't live near fullerton so I thought I would check it out the next time I was close by. I finally got around to it on a weekend afternoon and immediately I loved the vibe. They do a great job placing you in a comfortable spot with the nostalgic furniture, the sports memorabilia, the local news article clippings. The bartender met me w a greeting as I walked in and quickly I found out he would be the host, waiter, bartender, and busser. I never had an empty glass of beer because he never allowed me to have one, the food came out piping hot, and it was easy to pay the check right away and all done by the same guy! So besides the nice vibe and great service they had some very good bbq and side dishes. The chicken and the pork ribs were solid choices. Both moist and tender and glazed with a really nice bbq sauce. I will definitely be here again when I am in the area again.

The first time, I came for the Monday night burger and beer special for $10.95 after 4pm. The burger was very good with a nice sized patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a wheat bun. The beer pour isn't just a glass, it's larger-sized schooner. Specialty beers on tap are an extra $2. The burger doesn't come with a side, but a tasty burger and a large beer for under $11 is a great deal. The following week, I came back for the Tuesday night BBQ special. Their BBQ chicken and ribs dinners are 30% off, and come with two sides and a fresh dinner roll. I got the full slab of ribs which was only $21 after discount. They definitely do not skimp on the ribs, as the plate came with two large half slabs stacked on top of each other. The ribs were cooked well, and the BBQ sauce had a good mix of tang and sweetness. I had coleslaw and fries for my sides. The other options for sides are Beckett's beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, and pasta salad. A half slab and the fries filled me up, and I took the other half and the coleslaw home. This is also a great deal for only $21. Other special days include Wednesday $3.50 schooner night from 5pm to 7pm, Friday night $10.95 fish taco plate, and Saturday and Sunday breakfast specials from 10am to noon. They have a pool table, darts, and many TVs with various sports playing. Service was timely and friendly.
