The Iron Press is a casual craft beer and grub spot upstairs at the Anaheim Packing District. They have burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, and appetizers as well as a great selection of craft beers on tap. They have dedicated bar seating as well as a short table with bar stools along the back wall. Order your food at the register, and they will give you a pager to let you know when it is ready to pickup. I had the Wagyu Philly cheese steak ($20) which also comes with a side of waffle fries. Everything is a little pricey at the Packing House, but this was a pretty huge cheese steak which I had to tackle with a knife and fork before picking it up to eat the rest. It had a nice toasted bun with plenty of meat, onions, red bell peppers, and mushrooms inside. I usually prefer provolone cheese, but this one is served with a healthy serving of I believe American cheese. This was a tasty and very filling sandwich. The waffle fries were piping hot fresh out of the fryer, and came with a side of ketchup and ranch. They were very busy, and the cashier was still very friendly. When my food was ready to pick up, he apologized for the wait. This is another solid food place in the APD. I usually eat at one of the food spots before hitting some of the bars here, and Iron Press will now go into the rotation. If you're a beer drinker, you can both good food and beer here. read more

Walking into the packing district you have so many options. I immediately gravitated to their taps, great options! I opted for the ROM American Lager; and the invita Mexican lager for the wife, we split some wings and hung out with Cris! Now the beer and food are great, but Cris is an absolute joy, welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. The bar is great place to sit and chat, and he's so cool. We came here on a weekend evening and the place was pretty full with people on the bar seats. We were a group of 3 and got some seats at the bar as well. Someone in our group got the speciality burger with egg, another the plain burger, and I got the turkey sandwich. I wouldn't recommend the turkey sandwich. The bread was dry and not toasted, and the turkey was bland with little flavor or sauce. My friends seemed to like the burger more and said that they liked that. Love love it here -Yelp Fam if you need a nice relaxing place to have a drink, watch a game, or just need to chill, this is the local place for you. The staff is amazing, everyone is always friendly, fun, and always up to give their suggestions. Which we know is always a plus, especially if you are indecisive. The food is great, I love getting the simple smash burger and the Garlic Parm waffle fries are on point! I also suggest their cheesesteak if you love those types of sandwiches. It's the packing house so it's loud --but the great thing is they have an outdoor patio if you have larger groups or prefer a less overstimulating experience. ****Late post**** This place is the bomb!! Iron Press is located in the Packing District and let me tell you that if you choose here, you won't be disappointed. Prices are decent, the guy at the counter was nice and friendly and food came out quick. The ambiance is cool and hip. The tables at the Iron Press is limited but there are more in the common area. Let me start off by raving about the Hangover Burger! This is deliciousness in your mouth with every bite you take and the hamburger was cooked well!! The size of the burger was perfect: not too big, not too small but just right!! I had to come back and eat it again before our flight home. My husband had the Chili Cheese dog which was good. Overall: experience was great and would recommend anyone to try this place at least once! Side note, parking can be hairy and would recommend valet if you can't find any. My review is for their beers, which they have a great selection of local craft beers! We tried the doom juice from Gamecraft brewery which was a hazy double IPA which I liked. Was juicy and fruity with a little bit of hoppy bitterness. Would come back for it again or check out the actual brewery! The other beer we tried was back to the phuture which was also a great IPA but it was dull in comparison when I drank it after trying the doom juice. Very quick service, there's bar seating or outside patio which looked nicely covered. It's located in the Anaheim Packing House, so the parking is limited on the streets if you don't get valet. Upon arriving at the packing house, they still require masks, so make sure to bring one. I got the hangover burger ($14) and garlic/parm tater tots. The burger patty was dry, but the toppings were good. The smashed tater tots in the burger were different but good. I didn't like how the bun was an English muffin; it didn't compliment well, in my opinion. We enjoyed the garlic parm tater tots the most. I ended up paying $40+ for two burgers and sides.
