Good food, but a service issue I can't overlook. The food here is genuinely good, and I want to lead with that. My Chicago-style Italian beef combo (dry, sweet peppers) had real flavor, and the pizza puff was delicious. On taste alone, this place delivers. But the service raised a serious concern. Our order was accidentally delivered to another table two spots away, without us knowing. I watched that customer open the sandwich, then flag down the cashier to say they'd gotten the wrong one. The cashier took it back -- and a moment later, with his back to us, I could see him re-wrapping that same sandwich. He then brought it to our table. When I asked directly whether it was the sandwich he'd just handed the other table, he confirmed it was. I declined it, for obvious health and hygiene reasons. A sandwich that's already been delivered to and opened by another customer shouldn't be re-wrapped and served to someone else -- the fact that it was even attempted is the reason I'm writing this. There was no apology, which made it worse. To his credit, he did re-fry a fresh sandwich after that, and it was fine. One more thing: menu item #17 is listed as pizza puff and fries, but the order only came with a single order of fries. I didn't push it, but the menu is clear on what's included. The food's good enough that I'd consider going back. But serving another customer's returned sandwich is a real safety lapse, not a small mistake -- and I'd want to know that's been addressed. read more

This place reminds me of south side hole in the wall type place. Service is about what you would expect. Not too friendly just Hi, what is what would like today. For Chicago it is just averageish Chicago style food but for Vegas it maybe one of of the better places. However it comes with a price tag. Food (5/5): this was my first time trying this restaurant and the two pizzas we ordered were delicious! The deep dish pizza didn't have as much tomato sauce as I expected, but even one slice alone was dense and filling enough for me. The thin crust pizza was a bit heavy on the olives, but the crust was lighter and very crispy. Both pizzas did not skimp out on the cheese and every bite has a guaranteed cheese pull Service (4/5): our cashier had a very prompt manner, which wasn't very friendly in my personal opinion. We went on a Friday night and though the restaurant closes at 9pm, they were cleaning up the place shortly before 8pm and were working on cleaning up our table before any of us were finished. Here you will find Chicago's famous pizza puff, hot dogs, pizza, and my favorite, the Italian beef. The beef is sliced thin, juicy, and they don't skimp out. Get the mild and hot peppers and get it wet - trust me! The staff from the cashier to the cooks were all very friendly and the food didn't take long to make. My only complaint is that they are so far away from me, otherwise, I would visit more. FYI: For authentic Chicago feel you have to order your fries in a paper bad, add ketchup and shake up the bag. I have been here a couple of times whenever I'm craving a Chicago beef sandwich. I've eyed their thin crust pizza every time I've come in when I've seen one on another guest's table. It's a casual spot where you order at the cashier then grab an open table and they bring your order out to you. It's decorated in tons of Chicago sports team's memorabilia. She said they're really good so I thought hey, wings for a buck a piece, why not try them? So I ordered 6 wings mild buffalo with bleu cheese dip and a corn dog and fries for my son. We grabbed a table by the door and waited for our food to come out. Our food was brought out hot and fresh. The wings were so good! Came here after a friend recommended it and decided to give it a try. The place was clean, and as Chicago fans, we really appreciated all the artwork and photos on the walls -- it gave the space a fun, personal touch. The meatball sub was good, and the Italian beef was decent as well. I do think the bread could be a little better, though. The hamburger had a bit too much sauce for my taste -- it was pretty zesty and a little overpowering. Overall, the staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. I've been obsessed with good Italian beef since I worked across the street from Mister Beef on Orleans. This place is the real deal. I ordered it dipped with hot giardiniera and they delivered. The bun held up to being completely soaked in beef juice. 5 stars. Rolls of paper towels at the table. I love a meal where I feel like I need a garden hose to wash off after. The restaurant had lots of cool Chi-town memorabilia all over the walls, which was interesting CONS The Italian Beef sandwich was wrapped in bread that was as dry & tough as rocks in the desert. The cheese in the Italian beef wasn't even melted. That's just lazy, man. The au jus was relatively flavorless, and served in a container too small to dip the sandwich in. Man, I hate to give a local business a review that's not so great. I've really wanted to try this place out for a while because they have real Chicago deep dish pizza, but needless to to say, I was a little disappointed. My boyfriend placed an order over the phone, requesting a 14" deep dish pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese, plus a thing of fries. The lady over the phone repeated the order back to him and told him that it would be ready in about 35 minutes. We went to pick up the order, and they gave us thin crust pizza instead of deep dish pizza, despite the lady over the phone correctly repeating the order. She said that this mistake was not her responsibility, so we could either accept the thin crust pizza or wait another 30 minutes for a deep dish pizza to be made. I swore she repeated deep dish pizza and not thin crust pizza over the phone, but we said whatever and accepted the thin crust pizza anyway. We were not going to waste another half hour of our time there. Now, I feel that they put WAY too much cheese on our pizza, or if it was way too thick for a thin crust. When I picked up two slices, all the cheese slid off them completely. Like, what was that? I mean, it was delicious in general, but I didn't like the fact that the cheese didn't stay on my pizza slice. Windy City reminds me of the Beef Villa back home in illinois. A taste of Chicago for certain. Vienna beef dogs, Iltaco pizza puffs, mmmmmm if you know, you know. This place has legit Chicago food. I've never tried the pizza, so I cannot comment on that. But their Chicago dogs are true to form and their beefs and puffs are as well. It's tucked away in a little corner of the shopping center. A few weeks ago I stopped here and ordered some food to go which included a whole sausage pizza. I didn't look at it until I got home and was highly disappointed. The first picture is what they call a whole sausage pizza... I called and said that if I were in the restaurant, I would have showed this to them as it's more cheese then sausage. I was told my name would be in the book for another pizza at 50% off next time I came in. Well, two days ago I called to order food to go again. I explained the note about the 50% off. The girl looked in the notes, saw a note and explained that I only had two weeks to use that 50% off and it had been more then two weeks at this point. I told her this was never told to me, only next time I come in. She was very nice and said she would honor it this time. Being that I was going to my mom's I got half pepperoni for my mom. The second picture is what I received this time, a much better prepared pizza. I understand their thinking now as when I called the first time I was told they use the same amount they normally use on a whole pizza. Well, looking at the two pictures and counting the amount of sausage (yes this is being anal but wanting to see the difference) in the pictures, it looks like they use the same amount for a half as they do a whole? So, you are better off getting a pizza with half of something on one side and half on the other if you want a proper amount of toppings. Since Covid, as I've said in other reviews, things here seem to be hit and miss, prices have gone up, they charge for things they never used to charge for and now this location is closed on Sunday and Mondays. Even though it always seems to have a decent crowd when I go in, I guess times are hitting this place hard and the bottom line is not what it used to be. I hope this is not a sign of the times and another place will disappear. The Lake Mead location does not offer pizza only sandwiches, so I don't know what's happening but obviously the business is not here on Sunday and Mondays anymore. There are other places that serve Chicago style which is much friendlier and serves better tasting food. This place used to be awesome and it's flare has seem to have disappeared. It's sad to say but this place is no longer the number one place to go to for Chicago style food because of quality and deals for your money. There is better out here in Vegas/Henderson now that offered more selections and better tasting food. read more
