At a time when I least was expecting it; I needed photos for a memorial service immediately. My sister tragically took her own life and I was not in the mindset to do anything but cry. Since I was the only one here, it was left to me to handle everything. I only had days until the service and needed photos of her in order to have a video of her life created. Howard took my call as I explained my need for the rush, but not in great detail. He said for me to come in as soon as I could and he would take care of me. And he did. I was an emotional wreck by having to look through our childhood photos, and could not bear to have a conversation with anyone. He kindly took my photos in their disorganized fashion & said he would fix those that needed fixing and place them in a chronological order by her appearance. I could not ask for anything more. Not only did they deliver in less than 24 hours, I was not charged a rush fee. There is a reason this company has been around for so long. Had a issue with resolution on one of our projects and not only did they alert us, but also troubleshooted with us for over an hour to fix it. I should have gone to Costco but I thought a place completely dedicated to only prints would do a better job. I should have walked out from the start when I asked an employee to show me some of his examples of photo restorations & he could not come up with any. His reply was "we probably should have some available". Uh, you think? As a professional print shop with years in the valley it is the very least I would expect. The woman at the Costco counter immediately pulled out 3 very different examples and all 3 were very good. For $30 at Costco your picture is restored and you get a 5 x 7 copy & a digital copy. I paid twice that amount at Phoenix Photo Lab. They charge you $10 to just scan the picture. Really? One of my pictures was beautifully restored, another was just OK, but the 3rd was completely unacceptable. I was appalled that I would be charged for that horrible job & that he wasn't embarrassed to put his name on that work. A simple phone call explaining the problem would have been greatly appreciated. A crop & a conversion to black & white instead of color would have been a possible solution. I have boxes & boxes of photo albums, pictures, negatives, etc. but there is no way I am taking them to this place. These are my family pictures! I want to take them to someone who cares & provides better customer service. I also could have a bought a good photo scanner with the money I lost here and just restored them myself. Yes, it would have taken me longer but that is the point. I would take the time & care to do them right and there is no way I would have done a worse job on that 3rd picture! Alice, the framer, is a real pro and spent a lot of time with me making sure everything was right, and the final product was spectacular. I'm very happy with their work and I'll be back. read more

Work with Howard. Very nice people no doubt and my first experience was unusual because of another customer had a medical condition at the time I walked in. I was looking for a place I could maybe come by every couple of weeks and start making some large prints regularly, build a relationship and have some fun with it and I haven't completely made up my mind yet. I have a massive collection of very different types of photos and I've never printed before so I didn't know what types of paper or my options or what even some of the options mean and when I was working with the owner he seemed really lost how to work with a newb like me. Thank gosh he introduced me to Howard but I don't think he is always available. My main feedback to get better is learn to recommend better. I know some pros are offended if you recommend anything outside what they want but that's a different type of customer. For us just getting started we need a sales guy. It's not a bad thing to be sold to, build a relationship and a long term business relationship. The quality however is top notch. read more
