In…read morejust 20 minutes at a time, and often with a swim buddy (one other person in a group lesson), Nick is able to help him make huge gains in his strokes. Our son has been able to swim for a while, but it was more a combination of freestyle kicks and "big arms" with a lift of the head to breathe. This works fine if you're trying to have fun in the pool. But this is NOT efficient. And we really wanted him to gain some speed. Well, we are getting that with Nick YL. We are truly amazed at the progress and the small tweaks that he makes for huge improvement. Like Nick will tell him to be looking down or glue his ear to his arm and suddenly his stroke is way better. Or he'll move his arms a certain way so our little guy can feel a difference or give him a pull as Nick tells him what to do...it's pretty amazing. The pool is located inside LA Fitness and the facility is not super clean. For example, don't put your coffee cup down on the window sill or you might get a mouthful of cobwebs. But we're only there for 20 minutes and for our purposes it works. Last note: they used to have changing tents and for whatever reason, these are now gone. So I recommend getting a swim parka for after the lesson. We dry with a towel first, then pop the parka on, so we can keep the car seat dry for the ride home.

Nicole has such a warm, patient, and encouraging approach with children. She creates an environment where kids feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. We've seen tremendous growth not only in swimming skills, but also in my daughter's confidence and comfort in the water. It's clear Nicole genuinely cares about the kids she teaches, and that energy carries into every lesson. We are incredibly grateful to have found her and highly recommend her to any family looking for a swim instructor who is both talented and wonderful with children.

I did state that before. I do ask again to keep refraining from texting me, posting about me, and having such anger towards me. It feels displaced and truly unprofessional. I'm just uncomfortable with this rhetoric and engagement. Again, loud and clear, I wish you well. FYI- my pool isn't heated, however it is indoors in a heated room. *** it's pretty upsetting this morning to entertain texts and phone calls from friends who are screening me comments the owner is making about me on her Instagram page. I never even talked to her on Instagram or other social media outlets that's concerning given a professional, I'm entitled to my opinion I don't feel like I said anything that was a discrepancy towards her. Personally, she cared to share her personal endeavors with me, which I don't feel are reflective of what her personal position should hold, that's neither here nor there. I come from a place of wishing you goodwill in your journey of whatever it is that brings you peace and happiness, and I asked that you refrain from threatening me via my personal text which my husband and I both read, as well as on any social media outlet I don't feel that's constructive. It's both discrediting and defamatory against somebody's character. I didn't say anything about you personally again wishing you well, so please refrain from further harassment towards me personally thank you Pretty disappointed with the various layers of content from owner. The initial phone call I placed was to a recorded, outdated message that was very dry and monotone. A little more enthusiasm, especially considering the audience you want to attract would be helpful. Nevertheless I wanted to give it a try and left a message. I would naturally assume a live person, especially an owner attempting to secure a potential new client would personally reach out. Instead I was texted. Very dry, lacking any enthusiasm or introduction to whom I was speaking with. As a parent and an educator I was left feeling very unimpressed and as if my business wasn't a concern for them in securing. It's too bad because in the past, I often gather several friends and children to take part and lessons when I find someone that I'm super happy with and comfortable with. the only reason I am no longer using the private instructors that I have had is because they have moved away. Furthermore, it was indicated that no lessons or instruction would take place and less the degree of temperature was 80° and above I've never heard of this when I've also used professional schools and CPR trained swim instructors that were on swim teams earning medals at the number one high school in California. It's just a little disheartening that I was just treated with such ill regard as to my needs as a client or any considerations on my end. So it was just left as if there was no concern to secure my business again no professional phone call was made or introduction from them. I have no idea who I was speaking with and it's unfortunate because they lost a great deal of business that I would've been happy to support.

We love this kids' swim coaches now. I actually have holds on their classes to move my baby into when they are ready. Coach Colton has been great for my oldest. I see him do well with kids of all ages, but he definitely excels with the age 6+ group. He is teaching my son all the correct strokes and working on refining techniques and prepping for the swim team. I appreciate how reliable he has been and provides consistency to my child. He has somehow been able to challenge my child in a way that my kid is asking to do more and striving to be better. I didn't think we would be doing swim team (just wanted kids to not drown), but after working with Colton that's the new goal! Coach Adam is another angel. He pairs very well with my middle child. Adam seems to enjoy working with a kid even when the kid is difficult. I think the kids can sense that he appreciates them and that Adam loves his job. He plays with the kids at their level ... my kid is always trying to finish his classes with my Adam tossing him in the water or being silly with him. He is very skilled at redirecting kids and working on what makes sense for the kid that day. Observing him with other students, I get the sense that he has the gift of working well with children on the spectrum too. He seems to earn the trust of the kids and still push them on their skills. Coach Olivia is another great reliable coach. She made swimming fun for my kids and taught them all the basics. The first few months of lessons for a new swimmer isn't so rewarding for the parents because the child is doing necessary basics like floating and swim-roll-swim and it doesn't look like traditional swimming. I thank her for building all those necessary skills because now I can see them paying off and it all makes sense!

She has been absolutely wonderful--so patient, kind, and genuinely thoughtful in how she teaches. What really stands out is how she tailors her approach to each child. She makes learning fun by gamifying the process and tapping into what kids already love. For example, my son is obsessed with cars, and she'll "race" with him in the pool to keep him engaged. It turns lessons into something he looks forward to rather than something he has to do. The classes aren't cheap, but we've continued because the quality--especially with Ms. Kasity--has been worth it. We can see steady progress in his skills, and it's been really rewarding to watch his confidence grow in the water.

My son absolutely loves Australian Swim School, and I can't recommend them enough!…read more One of the biggest reasons we chose this swim school is the water temperature. It's by far the warmest pool we could find, and it's the only place where my son happily stays in the water without shivering. Our regular instructor is Mr. Nori, and he has been wonderful with my son. He's patient, encouraging, and fantastic with all of the kids I've seen in his classes. We recently missed a couple of lessons and had to attend makeup classes. For whatever reason, my son suddenly decided he didn't want to go back for his lesson. Miss Kaylee stepped in and was incredible. She tried everything she could to gently encourage him to go to the back pool, but when it became clear he wasn't going to do it, she didn't give up. Instead, she offered to work with him one-on-one in the front pool where we already were. She even promised she wouldn't put his head under the water. In the end, he became comfortable enough that he chose to put his face in the water on his own with her guidance, but she honored her promise and never forced him. That meant so much to me. I don't know if she was on her lunch break, between classes, or supposed to be doing something else, but I know that impromptu private lesson wasn't part of her day. She took the time simply because she cared, and it completely turned the experience around for my son. The best part is that it worked. Today my son happily got back in the water with Mr. Nori, and I honestly think it was his best lesson yet. Mr. Nori was so sweet, so encouraging, and genuinely proud of him. Seeing his confidence come back was such a great moment as a parent, and I really credit both instructors for making that happen. Every single person we've interacted with has been kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely wonderful with kids. I honestly have not had a single negative experience here. The first class is free, the warm water makes such a difference, and the little splash pad was a huge part of getting my son's initial buy-in. From the instructors to the front desk staff, the entire team is amazing. If you're looking for swim lessons for your child, I highly recommend Australian Swim School!

We've been going to this school since they were in Fullerton, and they've always been great. My daughter started with Mr Nori and he's one of her favorite instructors. She's gone through a few instructors and we've never had a bad experience. My son now attends the school too. This morning, my daughter had a make up class and had to go into a different swim lane with a new teacher. She's been apprehensive about leaving her current school and starting kinder next year, and the emotions came out today. She started crying and holding onto me when she saw the new lane and instructor and said she doesn't want new things. Within seconds, Mr Scott came over and began comforting her asking if she'd like to see her other instructor Mayumi. Mayumi wasn't even dressed to go in the water, but rolled up her jeans and sat in another lane with her. Mr Nori came by to say hi and comfort her, and Mr Christopher gave her a private lesson for a few minutes while she adjusted. He eventually asked her if she wanted to join him in the new lane with the new instructor, and she said yes and was happy the rest of the time. Mayumi also came back to check on her. This is the level of care any parent looks for in a school and I highly recommend coming here.

I did little to no research in this company and found out it's a corporate swim school, which we were trying to get away from because of exactly what we dealt with. My father ended up in the hospital in the ICU and we were unable to make our first class. We called and were immediately told we would not receive any credit or refund for this. While I understood not receiving a refund I was confused why there wasn't a credit offered. My father in the ICU was not planned and I communicated it to them about 8 hours before the lesson. Instead, there was no compassion or sympathy and they took the lesson. We had another day of lessons scheduled so we attended. Again, instructor was very kind, but could not have been older than 18 or 19. All they did was play the entire lesson.
