A huge thank you to Coach Alex, Coach Riley, and Coach Bernice--and honestly, the list continues. Every instructor we've had has been so patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in each child's success. They create such a positive, fun, and supportive environment that makes learning enjoyable while helping children feel safe and confident in the water. It's clear they truly care about every swimmer and celebrate each milestone right alongside the families. We also have to give a special shout-out to Gianna at the front desk. She is absolutely wonderful! She is always so patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Whether she's answering questions, helping with scheduling, or greeting families with a smile, she consistently goes above and beyond. She makes every visit seamless and welcoming, and her kindness never goes unnoticed. The entire team at Aqua-Tots has exceeded our expectations. The level of professionalism, care, and genuine passion they have for what they do shines through every single visit. We are so grateful to have found such an incredible place for our daughter to learn such an important life skill. We couldn't recommend Aqua-Tots more!

My son absolutely loves Australian Swim School, and I can't recommend them enough!…read more One of the biggest reasons we chose this swim school is the water temperature. It's by far the warmest pool we could find, and it's the only place where my son happily stays in the water without shivering. Our regular instructor is Mr. Nori, and he has been wonderful with my son. He's patient, encouraging, and fantastic with all of the kids I've seen in his classes. We recently missed a couple of lessons and had to attend makeup classes. For whatever reason, my son suddenly decided he didn't want to go back for his lesson. Miss Kaylee stepped in and was incredible. She tried everything she could to gently encourage him to go to the back pool, but when it became clear he wasn't going to do it, she didn't give up. Instead, she offered to work with him one-on-one in the front pool where we already were. She even promised she wouldn't put his head under the water. In the end, he became comfortable enough that he chose to put his face in the water on his own with her guidance, but she honored her promise and never forced him. That meant so much to me. I don't know if she was on her lunch break, between classes, or supposed to be doing something else, but I know that impromptu private lesson wasn't part of her day. She took the time simply because she cared, and it completely turned the experience around for my son. The best part is that it worked. Today my son happily got back in the water with Mr. Nori, and I honestly think it was his best lesson yet. Mr. Nori was so sweet, so encouraging, and genuinely proud of him. Seeing his confidence come back was such a great moment as a parent, and I really credit both instructors for making that happen. Every single person we've interacted with has been kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely wonderful with kids. I honestly have not had a single negative experience here. The first class is free, the warm water makes such a difference, and the little splash pad was a huge part of getting my son's initial buy-in. From the instructors to the front desk staff, the entire team is amazing. If you're looking for swim lessons for your child, I highly recommend Australian Swim School!

We've been going to this school since they were in Fullerton, and they've always been great. My daughter started with Mr Nori and he's one of her favorite instructors. She's gone through a few instructors and we've never had a bad experience. My son now attends the school too. This morning, my daughter had a make up class and had to go into a different swim lane with a new teacher. She's been apprehensive about leaving her current school and starting kinder next year, and the emotions came out today. She started crying and holding onto me when she saw the new lane and instructor and said she doesn't want new things. Within seconds, Mr Scott came over and began comforting her asking if she'd like to see her other instructor Mayumi. Mayumi wasn't even dressed to go in the water, but rolled up her jeans and sat in another lane with her. Mr Nori came by to say hi and comfort her, and Mr Christopher gave her a private lesson for a few minutes while she adjusted. He eventually asked her if she wanted to join him in the new lane with the new instructor, and she said yes and was happy the rest of the time. Mayumi also came back to check on her. This is the level of care any parent looks for in a school and I highly recommend coming here.

Great experience so far. Clean bathrooms and changing rooms…read more It seems like this 1-1 swim coaching is the way to go for young swimmers versus big classes. We love this kids' swim coaches now. I actually have holds on their classes to move my baby into when they are ready. Coach Colton has been great for my oldest. I see him do well with kids of all ages, but he definitely excels with the age 6+ group. He is teaching my son all the correct strokes and working on refining techniques and prepping for the swim team. I appreciate how reliable he has been and provides consistency to my child. He has somehow been able to challenge my child in a way that my kid is asking to do more and striving to be better. I didn't think we would be doing swim team (just wanted kids to not drown), but after working with Colton that's the new goal! Coach Adam is another angel. He pairs very well with my middle child. Adam seems to enjoy working with a kid even when the kid is difficult. I think the kids can sense that he appreciates them and that Adam loves his job. He plays with the kids at their level ... my kid is always trying to finish his classes with my Adam tossing him in the water or being silly with him. He is very skilled at redirecting kids and working on what makes sense for the kid that day. Observing him with other students, I get the sense that he has the gift of working well with children on the spectrum too. He seems to earn the trust of the kids and still push them on their skills. Coach Olivia is another great reliable coach. She made swimming fun for my kids and taught them all the basics. The first few months of lessons for a new swimmer isn't so rewarding for the parents because the child is doing necessary basics like floating and swim-roll-swim and it doesn't look like traditional swimming. I thank her for building all those necessary skills because now I can see them paying off and it all makes sense!

She has been absolutely wonderful--so patient, kind, and genuinely thoughtful in how she teaches. What really stands out is how she tailors her approach to each child. She makes learning fun by gamifying the process and tapping into what kids already love. For example, my son is obsessed with cars, and she'll "race" with him in the pool to keep him engaged. It turns lessons into something he looks forward to rather than something he has to do. The classes aren't cheap, but we've continued because the quality--especially with Ms. Kasity--has been worth it. We can see steady progress in his skills, and it's been really rewarding to watch his confidence grow in the water.

Our son has been able to swim for a while, but it was more a combination of freestyle kicks and "big arms" with a lift of the head to breathe. This works fine if you're trying to have fun in the pool. But this is NOT efficient. And we really wanted him to gain some speed. Well, we are getting that with Nick YL. We are truly amazed at the progress and the small tweaks that he makes for huge improvement. Like Nick will tell him to be looking down or glue his ear to his arm and suddenly his stroke is way better. Or he'll move his arms a certain way so our little guy can feel a difference or give him a pull as Nick tells him what to do...it's pretty amazing. The pool is located inside LA Fitness and the facility is not super clean. For example, don't put your coffee cup down on the window sill or you might get a mouthful of cobwebs. But we're only there for 20 minutes and for our purposes it works. Last note: they used to have changing tents and for whatever reason, these are now gone. So I recommend getting a swim parka for after the lesson. We dry with a towel first, then pop the parka on, so we can keep the car seat dry for the ride home.

It took us a minute to find the right instructor, but once we met Andrew it was apparent my son was in good hands. Andrew (or "Coach", as my son likes to call him) understands my son's sensory needs and ADHD and uses that knowledge to keep him simultaneously safe, engaged, happy, and progressing as a swimmer. Andrew always has something positive to say about my kiddos progress while also noting areas that he wants to see improve/work on over the next series of lessons. My son likes to know what's on the agenda for each day and when it's a swim day he always whispers a little "yes!" to himself. I know that joy and confidence comes from the fantastic work that Andrew puts into each lesson. My kid looks forward to being at swim because he looks forward to being in the water, and especially, spending 20 minutes with Coach Andrew. Waterworks is a happy, inclusive space, and if you get to schedule your lessons with Andrew your kiddo will be just as happy and safe as mine.
