First off, the coaches are amazing! You can tell the staff really care about the kids and they're all super super great. We did our best to keep our boy with the same coaches throughout his lessons in order to progress. The only reason I did not get five stars is because of the cost for value. The 30 minute class is really only 25 minutes at most and in a 4:1 lesson that's just over 6 minutes of personal attention per kid. Honestly $30-$40 for 6 minutes is just too expensive. We are sad to stop lessons as we finally saw a great improvement in the past 3 weeks of the three months we did, but we hope to take what he learned and practice with him over summer. read more

Aqua-Tots Orange is a wonderful place to take kids to learn to swim. Both of my kids have been going for almost a year. They both moved up in levels within a few months and I'm happy with the pace of their progress. All of the teachers are so great with kids and truly are dedicated to teaching kids how to swim. While I have heard some feedback from others that their pace isn't fast enough, I really think it's dependent on the swimmer's dedication. We made sure that our kids practiced on their own outside of their classes and incorporated the teacher's feedback each time. As a result, our kids have increased their swimming skills significantly. We are very thankful for their staff and dedication in teaching kids this important skill. Also, they have an app that makes it easy to schedule, cancel or reschedule classes. And each time we've called for a question or schedule conflict, the staff have always been so nice and patient. I want to start by saying that the manager was great and very helpful. Unfortunately, my experience with some of the instructors was not the same. During one of the classes, an instructor became frustrated with my son and started yelling at him. I understand that my son was not following directions, but yelling and showing frustration was not the right way to handle the situation. I had already informed them that my son has ADHD, yet they removed him from the class and told me he was a safety hazard for the other kids. At that time, there was only one other child in the class. Even after that experience, I still wanted to give the program another chance. I reached out to the manager to discuss what the best option would be for my son, and we decided to try individual classes instead. Unfortunately, during the first private class, the instructor was new and it was his first day. He spent most of the time looking at his iPad and didn't seem aware that my son needed extra support, even after I had discussed this with the manager. It felt like there was a lack of communication or notes shared with the instructors. I'm really sad to cancel the membership because my son truly enjoyed the classes. I also want to mention that I didn't bring up the situation where the instructor yelled at my son earlier because I wanted to give the program another opportunity and assumed it might have just been a bad day. However, after the last experience, I feel that this program may not be the right fit for my son. read more

Updated: we ultimately left after almost a year and are happy we did. Unfortunately, after going twice a week for several weeks we weren't seeing any improvements. They were trying to teach the kids how to back float by keeping their arms in and not using the starfish method to get more surface space. We ended up finding a private coach and within one month the kids were both fluent swimmers. As beautiful as the place is we didn't find their methods to work for our kids. Original: My 4 year old and almost 7 year old really enjoy going to Aqua-Tots. They have been going for a little bit over a month now. They do wish the water was a tiny bit warmer but it hasn't stopped them from eagerly getting in the pool. I am happy since they are happy but i all honesty, it seems like they don't learn very much per lesson. We LOVE Aqua-tots! Everyone here is SO friendly, from up at the counter to the coaches. My daughter has been coming for a couple months and has already jumped 2 levels and her swimming skills went from almost none to being able to jump off a diving board into 10 ft of water! My daughter has been taking swim classes here for months. When she first started she was taking classes with Miss. Abigail and Miss. Julissa. You can not go wrong with both of these coaches. They are both amazing , patient with all the children including scared, first timers. My daughter absolutely loves them both. When my daughter was having difficulties adjusting to a technical to pass to the next level Miss. Julissa used her knowledge to help her and she passed to the next level the following week. Based on my current experience, I do feel the levels are a little stagnant and they don't progress with some of the technique. Our child is a level 4 but they have not updated his card in a while for progression for next level. Overall I find it's good for basic but concerned how stagnant they keep at levels. We have been members since early this year and at mid month September, we are at Level 4 and there are 8 levels.
