Visited the pholicious on Friday March 29, 2024. I informed the waiter that I have a severe cilantro allergy and if they could not put any cilantro in my vegetable pho. When I received my pho there was cilantro present in my soup. My husband ask if my pho could be made over. The waiter was taken a while to redo my pho. My husband stood up to see what was taking so long and he could see the waiter picking the cilantro out soup. My husband expressed that we didn't want the pho longer and that I was allergic. There was no sympathy nor compassion to the fact that their carelessness could kill me. My goddaughter has been craving pho and I decided to try again. the location again on April 1st a few days after the first incident. I ask for the same vegetable pho and expressed again my food allergy. The menu even states that if there is any food allergies to let them know. My pho once again came out with cilantro. I am done eating here. My life is too important for any negligence. read more

I literally go here all the time and they messsed up my order so bad and was really disrespectful when I told them that. I ordered my food a certain way and waited and went back in the restaurant to them telling me I owe them more money for the food to be cooked a certain way like what do you mean when I paid almost 20 for some basic food like so unprofessional. Then when asked to speak to the manager they said the manager doesn't wanna come out doesn't wanna speak like how unprofessional. They will be losing a big time customer. I ordered the a rare steak pho and tripe and my grandma ordered chicken fried rice. The pho ordered was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it came straight out of the microwave. The broth was the worst part about it. I'm not sure what they aren't putting in their broth, but it's definitely missing a lot. I would have to say it reminds me of the prepackaged pho broth you can buy at Walmart. It literally had no flavor at all. I tried adding salt, sriracha and hoisin, but nothing was helping that broth. The meat looked weird and precooked. When it came to me, it didn't look rare at all. It was a weird tan color. The texture was very nasty and it could have been thinly sliced more. I added some salt and helped a bit, but I had to do it to each individual piece. After third time, I just gave up on the meat. My grandma's rice looked gummy and mushy. The chicken was big, bulky, and oblong shaped. It didn't look like chicken at all. She even put soy sauce on it and it still tasted horrible. I would not recommend this place at all to anyone. I will not be returning at all. There was nothing impressive about the restaurant. The food was bad, the waiter's customer service was bad, he kept referring to my grandma and I as 'boss' at end of every sentence, and bathroom had no paper towels with barely any soap. When I told the owner I didn't eat the pho because I was waiting to eat together. I said cancel my wife's dish we are going to leave. They still charged me for the food. I ordered for a family of 6 and opened my bag and noticed I was only given 1 hot sauce. So I asked the cashier if I could get a couple of more at lest 1 per plate that I ordered. She flat out refused and said I would need to pay. I get as a society we charge for extra sauce or ranch but if I ordered all this food and paid separately I would get 1 sauce per plate. All I am requesting is the bare minimum, nothing extra. The pho broth isn't much to write about if you're looking for good pho, pho Kobe has a delicious broth or pho si gon lee. We got the beef pho, chicken stir fry, shrimp stir fry, wings, taro boba, and Vietnamese coffee boba. Although we are hoping to be able to request extra meat in the stir fry next time we enjoyed every bite. They were very friendly and fast despite the fact that they were pretty busy. Having knowledge of food safety and handling, there was some red flags here. The condiment bottles had reminants left in them on the tables and then the staff started to refill them. Staff were not wearing gloves when refilling bottles. They put the new sauce on top of the old sauce, this can create a food poisoning environment. The bottles need to be washed, rinsed, sanitized and air dried before being refilled with new sauces . The sauces also need to be refrigerated properly and not left on tables for hours. There was pink sanitizer which is a chemical right next to the open sauces being refilled. This is called cross contamination and you could have chemicals in your food. They are not folliwing safe food handling procedures. read more

I have been to so many pho restaurants in many states, simply because I like pho. This store is a special one: the food was overpriced and the service was bad. The so called BIG size pho is a medium size in other stores. Because my wife requested one-time broth added, we were charged $5 for it. It's a jaw-dropping experience. Unsanitary. Cashier is grabbing used cups off the tables by the brim, didn't wash his hands, went into kitchen and started making drinks. The cashier decided to charge extra fees without notifying customer of extra "to-go" charges. When questioned why he didn't mention it, he decides to shrug his shoulders and walk away. Terrible service, walked in and looked stupid trying to figure out how to order food. Place fairly crowded but wasn't much of an issue for me. When ordering food the server had no notepad or anything and could have got our order wrong if we ordered more. No common courtesy, no "hello/hi" no "how are you?" No "how can I help you?" Nothing. Workers not wearing gloves, when serving food. Plates empty and unappealing for the price. Server focused only on one table with attractive women. Asked for water 5 times and still was not helped until they wanted to. I can understand at a busy establishment things are slow, but occupancy must have been less than 20. Overall terrible service and expensive for the food. Food was ok, maybe a 6/10 had chicken Pho and Pork rice dish. Very inexperienced staff except for chefs which did not serve us. As I endeavored through out the cockroach infested street that bear-valley is my mother and I come across a newly constructed PHO establishment by the name of "Pholicious". High expectations coming in since they've seemed to be quite the talk of town, enough to open another location in our beautiful High Desert California. First expressions walking in: articles seemed to be scattered with not much care with visible places of storage in sight. As we take out seats the condiments appear to be neglected with not much attention towards cleaning them. My mother and I Order the #9 Pho special, came with a charcuterie of meats including cattle stomach. First impressions: looks visually appealing, screaming authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Flavor wise not so Cash Money, broth was bland was faulting of salt and many other flavors, meats inside lacking of color and flavorless. We also included sides of spring rolls and eggs rolls. Spring rolls lacking ingredients, usually consist cucumber and carrot shaving but only included lettuce, rice noodles and shrimp. Egg rolls actually pretty decent just a bit mushy instead of having that satisfying crunch to them. Service wise everything was completely fine with constant check ups. One point I have to say is that Pholicious is definitely lacking good management/ ownership. The majority of staff appear to be teenagers with a minimal professional feeling to it. Not much care or regulations when it comes to uniforms. Overall my experience in Pholicious was a 2/10 definitely need to revamp kitchen staff with new and better ingredients. read more
