Excellent! I brought in two photos that are close to 100 years old in for scanning. They managed to scan the photos through the frames, which couldnt be removed due to their fragile 100 year old state. The scans came out amazing, they corrected some of the image flaws, and provided high quality scans that will last a lifetime. I got my passport photos there inJan/19 vs getting them st the post office a few doors down.....$15 bucks for 2, no digital copy- that's $25 more. Due to govt shutdown, just got a letter saying the photos were not able to be used and I had 90 days to submit new ones or lose my 140 bucks plus the 15 and postage....so go back with the letter and the return envelope....they said it was the state delta fault and charged me again....oh, gave me a generous 10% discount. I was planning to get some photos turned into Andy Warhol pop art poster but even in Jan I noticed that their prices were sky-high nuts. Now, forget it...Shutterfly all the way. On a good note, the smell of all the photo chemicals was so much, I caught a good buzz. I doubt that's up to code....my next call. If you need a passport photo, go to the post office, it's quick, it's perfect and you can get it in the mail quick and it can't be more expensive.....and sure won't give you a 4 month delay. read more

I've been getting my film developed and scanned here for the past 3 years and always come back to them, even when I moved across the country! Now I just mail my film rolls in bulk to them. A major plus is that they give you your negatives back, just in case you want to scan the roll yourself or rescan for a big print of the photo. Highly recommend them. read more

These fine folks at Photoshack are so kind and they always do me well. They are a few of my favorite people's I've met in Las Vegas, actually. The service here is always perfect and its always great to work with them. I judge places typically on the character of the people who work there and they are simply stand up individuals. Sometimes they can get quite busy but they are always on the ball and get your stuff completed in a reasonable amount of time no matter what. They work very hard. There is only one other professional photo lab in town and frankly, there is no need to go there. They are not anywhere near as nice as Lel and Jeannie. And they're slower. lovely place! i recently came to get my fufjifilm disposable developed and wonderful lady helped me out! they take down if it's your first time and how you want your pictures to be developed. they also keep your negatives and leave them in your envelope. super quick service as well brought my camera in on 1/13 and got a call back on 1/17. i would definitely recommend! read more

I needed to get Canadian passport pictures taken for my renewal application and was informed via yelp talk (thanks, Tiger W!) to go to this little photo shack across from UNLV. The owner/photographer is super nice and knew exactly what I needed when I said I wanted a Canadian passport pic. He reassured me that he has done them before, is a "recommended" passport photographer (by the Canadian consulate in LA), and has all the current specifications on hand. He was quick, thorough, and professional in his work and after about one hour (hung out in Einsteins Bagels while the pictures developed), he handed me the final product. Perfect. (Canadian) passport pictures are $25 for 2. Much of their business is photo developing and restoration from old photos and from *gasp* film! If I had any old photos to save, I'd come here. As it is, I am very happy with the quality of my pictures and am less hesitant than normal to show them to the appropriate customs authorities because the pics make me look less like a fugitive and more like a person with a neutral facial expression. :) read more

This is the only place I go locally for film developing. Friendly staff and great turn around time. They use Noritsu scanners in case you're wondering. They don't do E-6/Slide film unless you're cross-processing it. They also can push film for you in developing. My review is solely based on their film processing. I've been here a lot of times now and every time I go, I'm greeted very politely and they even call me by my first name now. I will keep coming here because of one incident I had that wasn't even their fault. I noticed on one of my negatives, it looked like another strip got stuck on top of another strip during development and thought that their machine may have messed it up. So I developed another batch of rolls to develop and much to my surprise, they went out of their way to also scan my files to make sure nothing was wrong. They didn't charge me too. Then we figured out, it was from my camera. I didn't load the film good enough so the spool wasn't grabbing it properly when going to the next shot. So kudos to them for going out of their way! In case you're particular on scanners like me, they use a Noritsu scanner I believe. For developing, the prices are affordable, so this is my "go-to" for personal projects. Great people! I have a penchant for all things analog and these guys have been my go-to for film processing in town for a number of years now - first as a photo student at UNLV - now as a graduate. I shoot medium format slide film and get it x-pro'd here - and the results have always been great! They're one of the last places that develop film in town now that Sahara Camera doesn't any longer - so be sure to give them your business. I have tried other places to develop 35mm rolls of film (such as Rtiz Camera), but they don't compare to the type of quality that you will get from Photo Shack. I have brought both color and black and white medium format film here to be developed. The staff are very friendly, helpful and make an effort to get to know you. Black and white is developed twice a week so be patient. Color, on the other hand was done overnight. I received clean negatives properly packages and a CD of thumbnails. So my experience all starts with trying out a mail order photo lab, long story short the post office ends up shipping my film right back to my mailbox, ONE WEEK LATER, with no explanation, lovely. Being the very impatient person that I am, I searched for a local spot that processes film, right off the bat I am brought here. I made the drive down in the evening and walked right in. I was pleasantly greeted right away by a nice gentleman. I needed my 120 film processed and also asked for prints. He got my information and even cared to ask what type of camera I was using. I told him it was my first time shooting medium format and we had a little chat about film. I picked up my film about three days later by choice, come to find out, they processed my film the same day! He remembered me telling him that it was my first time shooting medium format, he also said I did a very good job shooting my pictures, which honestly made me smile and all that cheesy stuff.
