It's not bad, just not authentic Vietnamese foods. Okay portion and nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly, good service.

There was nobody here when we arrived, so the hostess, let us sit wherever we wanted. I ordered the special combination pho and my husband got the chicken pho. The food came out quick. The broth was rich and full of flavor and the portion was decent. I think I might've reviewed this place before ,a couple years ago. They still have the weird little spoons. Come on has nobody told them that these ladles are too big for a bowl of pho. I also don't like the fact that they don't have any real spice to kick up the heat in my soup. They have Sriracha and chili paste, but I'm looking for dried ground chili peppers. The menu is still small. Even though I liked my soup, I feel like the menu needs improvement and maybe they could offer more authentic dishes. Bahn mi sandwiches would be a great addition.

Still a family fave. A great way to kick off 2026. We had 6 adults and 2 infants and went as soon as dinner opened at 5PM. They even have a Kids Pho which was a hit with the 20 month old twins. Service was great even after it got very busy and they keep things clean and tidy. The staff really hustles and the food is delicious! We love it!

Based on on visit. We each had a bowl oh Pho Noodles, one single meat (rare Phox) and the other a duo (multiple meats). We also had an appetizer (Bahn Mi Bites, 3 per order, pic shows two because I ate one before taking the picture :) ) which was pretty good. The service was friendly and although the restaurant was in a plaza, it had a nice feel/vibe. You order at the table but pay when you leave which is unique (rather than pay at the table). Overall, worth a try.

Good phoking stuff. Munchy Meatball "made fire." Go ahead..."Photo Is Not Helpful."

*** UPDATE *** Having come here about 5 or 6 times in the last year, I can say that having consistently great product has earned Phoxy Pho a 5th star!! These most recent two trips in were notable for three reasons: 1. Waitress Mariah. Pretty amazing. She got our complicated order perfectly (twice) without writing anything down. Fast and friendly. 2. My wife was able to order the vegetarian pho without the noodles; (watching her calories). Although ordering Vietnamese noodle soup WITHOUT the needles may seem weird, it worked well for her. The kitchen just added extra veggies and it came out "perfectly." 3. If I'm not mistaken, a few Asian beers are now on the menu. *** ORIGINAL REVIEW *** "You've got to be all mine, all mine Phoxy Pho Here I come, baby I'm comin' to get ya!" So, those might not be EXACTLY lyrics that Jimi Hendrix wrote, but if Jimi would have eaten here, he would have. Pho: Excellent. Most excellent indeed. The rich flavors are undeniable and the ingredients, including the chicken and the beef, are high quality stuff. Appetizers: Meh. We had the banh mi bites. My son loved them, but I didn't. I'm not a HUGE fan of bruschetta, and that's, basically, what these are. Pate? Nope, not for me. The grilled garlic pork skewers? Not bad, but they didn't rock my world, either. Next time (and there WILL be a next time) the Gyoza will be on my agenda. Drinks: Pomegranate pop and Thai iced tea? The tea was fantastic. The pop was cool, too. No alcohol. Service: I was surprised that the PP was quite full on a Sunday afternoon. The service was friendly and accurate, albeit a little slow. However, considering the ratio of waiters to customers (1 to about 20), Cody, and the cook/owner, did an excellent job. Ambiance: Not bad at all. Clean and comfortable. There's a little "bamboo and vines" here, a little neon/LED there. And, there are a couple of bars to sit at if you're dining alone. Will we be back? Absolutely. The main attraction, the pho, was excellent, and there are plenty of other things on the menu that sound, and look, great. 4 stars for now, with room for a 5th!! And by the way, if "pho" is pronounced "fuh," the how is "phoxy" pronounced?

This place has been on my list for quite some time. They had a great menu for food of course, but I noticed they also offered an amazing drink menu as well. We ordered three shrimp appetizer to test out and then ordered our Pho. I I was very happy with that flavor, but I was hoping the sauce options would've been a tad more. We were given a small ramekin, but had to ask for extra to et the flavor to perfection. The pricing was fair and the inside was very inviting. Great place for Pho.

Upon arrival, my party of 2 waited at least 20+ minutes as there were a few groups ahead of us. There's no way of knowing who was there first until the waitress/host ask who's next--which was very unorganized. At least 3 tables left while each group continued to wait--seems they are shorted handed as there was only one waitress and no host. We kept it simple and ordered the Phoxy Pho Special and the broth was excellent, but I wouldn't order the Banh Mi again. There's no comparison to an actual Banh Mi sandwich-- I probably wouldn't order it again.

Do you love Pho? If so, you *have* to check out Phoxy! The broth is divine, the toppings and proteins are fresh, and the noodles are perfect. The appetizers and sides are just as delicious, and everything is served with a friendly smile, coming from both the wait staff, as well as from the kitchen. While the location is a little off the beaten path for some in Toledo, it's super easy to get to from pretty much anywhere, there is plenty of parking, and the prices can't be beat. Honestly, this was *way* better than we expected, from the atmosphere to the food. Highly recommended!

I was really looking forward to opening of Phoxy, partly because it would be the closest pho place from Maumee, but mainly because the owner is son of Pho Viet Nam. Recipes can't veer too far from the OG, can it? So I was right. Broth was very close to what PVN offers, but not exactly 100%. I presumed this is the case because he wanted to put just a little bit of his twist to the recipe. In fact, not all menu offerings are the same, either. He kept staple items like a few variations of pho, a fee of rice dishes, etc. bit he didn't mimic the other menu, which I appreciated and was sad at the same time. It definitely has more up-to-date, stylish and "young" feel to his menu. His "younger" touch is shown not only on his menu, but from the interior deco, too. Ambiance is definitely younger and hipper, which I would expect from the young owner. We had a garlic skewer for apetizer, which was amazing. My daughter was digging it so much that she ended up with 2.5 skewers out of 3 that were served, which means my wife and I each took one bite off one. Both pho and hu tieu were very good, too. Definitely better than most I've gotten around town. The only reservation I have comes down to the fact that I just *absolutely* love the way PVN makes their food. Even tho Phoxy makes it very close to the OG, I can't help but compare it, and I have my preferences. Again, this is not a knock on Phoxy at all. It's gonna come down to personal subjectivity. For me, it'll come down to whereabouts in town I am when I'm craving pho. If I'm near Toledo, I will always prefer PVN, but if I'm closer to home, I can definitely do with Phoxy. Either way, Phoxy serves excellent food, and I would gladly recommend to anyone in town.

We went again on Saturday. WOW!…read more Started with a Martini for my dining partner and iced tea for me. Both were great. The waiter (Josh, a five-star waiter if ever there was one) really knows how to take care of his customers. He really knows the menu, can explain the dishes along with their components and what makes them unique and paces each course perfectly. He even asked if we were BOTH done before any dishes were removed from the table. Nothing looks worse than one person still eating while the rest of the table has no plates in front of them. We started with the roasted carrot salad. The carrots were perfectly roasted and chilled with and amazing tahini "paste" and radicchio, perfectly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. OUTSTANDING!!! Seriously, this could have been my entire meal! The tahini paste is great, and I made it once while making a tahini dressing for roasted Brussels sprouts. Tahini naturally gets thick (paste like) when liquid is added. To make the paste, just stop adding liquid to it and stop mixing until it gets smooth again. Seriously, delicious. We both ordered the chicken schnitzel for our entrees. It comes with a really nice side salad consisting of mixed greens, dressed again with a very mild vinaigrette. My only quibble (and it's a really small one) is I would have liked the schnitzel to be a bit thinner. That said, it was perfectly cooked, not at all dry and the thickness is up to the creator of the dish. I don't think there's a "standard" for this (ha, ha - get it!). Great breading and very tasty. The dessert... Again, had to go with the sticky toffee pudding! If this is on the menu, there's no way I'm not going to order it. GOD, it's just a perfect ending to a great meal, well, that along with a pot of French Press coffee. All in all, the meal came to $108.00 excluding the tip. Expensive, but WORTH EVERY PENNY! I spent that much a few weeks ago (maybe more) on a really awful meal/experience at a different place. You'll have to read my old reviews to figure that one out! Anyway, this place treats their employees like they actually appreciate them. They took them on a cruise! Of all the restaurants I used to work at, the best thing I ever received was a shift meal or maybe a cold beer because I was still at the place cooking apps at 1:00 in the morning and the manager wanted to go home but felt bad because I couldn't leave. Thanks for the glass of Miller Lite draft, Mr. Chi-Chi's manager guy! Everyone in the place, from the servers to the hostesses, to the bus folks and the floor manager had smiles and a sense of graciousness and appreciation to each and every customer. Try to find that at any other restaurant in Toledo. The food is top notch, made with very unique recipes and techniques you're not going to find anywhere else. The dining room and restrooms (at least the men's) are clean. I never had to ask for a refill on my iced tea or water. New silverware was brought before each course was served. The old plates were removed from the table after the staff asked if it was OK to do so. Proper training in procedure and etiquette is obvious. Again, just a great meal in every way - 10 out of 10! Can't wait to go back.

We loved the Standard after visit #1. Then, somehow, a year and a half passed before we returned…read more The reason was location, and the reason was atmosphere, but mostly it was atmosphere. After visit #2, I'm not sure there will be a visit #3 anytime soon. The consensus among friends -- confirmed now by our own table -- is that everything is too heavy. The first few bites bring the oohs and the ahhs. By halfway through the plate, the ughs and the oofs begin. The menu reads as thoughtful and dialed in. Our table of four ordered very different entrees -- seafood, steak, pasta, salad -- and somehow every plate arrived at the same destination: rich, savory, dense. No acid. No brightness. And strangely, blue cheese and garlic had crept into every single bite, as if the kitchen could not bear to let a dish leave without them. A meal that should have pleased everyone left most of us with a mild remorse. I felt surprisingly ill for hours afterward -- not because anything was unsafe, not because it wasn't delicious, but because it was simply too much. Too rich. Too savory. The body, it turns out, asks for contrast, and we had not been given any. The service, on the other hand, is STILL outrageously good. Without question some of the best in the region -- better than nearly every higher-end room in town. But the atmosphere is stuffy, the food is one-note, and high quality is not the same thing as good execution. My wife's "medium plus" steak arrived extremely rare. My salmon was undercooked. At this price, that is inexcusable. Still -- the service. The service is something to behold.

There were two people who came before us, and then a group of 14, and then my husband and me, followed by another bunch of people into a restaurant that was already packed. The waitresses did not even bat an eyelid. They were very polite and were busy doing their work. They were helping seat people as well as checking out people who had just eaten. We only waited about 15 - 20 mins. In the meantime, we chatted with the locals, who told us how often they came here just to eat the pies. When we got seated, the first thing we ordered and got started on were the AMAZING pies (chocolate PB for me and custard for my husband). Oh my God, they were out of the world yummy! We got to watch the ladies on the grill as they made the food. My husband ordered he Swiss steak and I had the double hamburger with all the fixings.
