Found this place as I was traveling through. I was a bit thrown off as the chicken pho has beef broth in it. I was looking forward to the chicken pho, as I do not eat beef. I ordered the shrimp skewers instead, and I must say it was flavor packed. The serve was fine as it was a walk up and order type of situation. The decor was a bit run down in my opinion tho. Im telling you this now hands down the best pho place in Toledo Ohio. Only thing I really wish they had was authentic bahn mi on the menu . & not the weird crouton versions. There was nobody here when we arrived, so the hostess, let us sit wherever we wanted. I ordered the special combination pho and my husband got the chicken pho. The food came out quick. The broth was rich and full of flavor and the portion was decent. I think I might've reviewed this place before ,a couple years ago. They still have the weird little spoons. Come on has nobody told them that these ladles are too big for a bowl of pho. I also don't like the fact that they don't have any real spice to kick up the heat in my soup. They have Sriracha and chili paste, but I'm looking for dried ground chili peppers. The menu is still small. Still a family fave. A great way to kick off 2026. We had 6 adults and 2 infants and went as soon as dinner opened at 5PM. They even have a Kids Pho which was a hit with the 20 month old twins. Service was great even after it got very busy and they keep things clean and tidy. The staff really hustles and the food is delicious! We love it! read more

Based on on visit. We each had a bowl oh Pho Noodles, one single meat (rare Phox) and the other a duo (multiple meats). We also had an appetizer (Bahn Mi Bites, 3 per order, pic shows two because I ate one before taking the picture :) ) which was pretty good. The service was friendly and although the restaurant was in a plaza, it had a nice feel/vibe. You order at the table but pay when you leave which is unique (rather than pay at the table). *** UPDATE *** Having come here about 5 or 6 times in the last year, I can say that having consistently great product has earned Phoxy Pho a 5th star!! These most recent two trips in were notable for three reasons: 1. Waitress Mariah. Pretty amazing. She got our complicated order perfectly (twice) without writing anything down. Fast and friendly. 2. My wife was able to order the vegetarian pho without the noodles; (watching her calories). Although ordering Vietnamese noodle soup WITHOUT the needles may seem weird, it worked well for her. The kitchen just added extra veggies and it came out "perfectly." 3. If I'm not mistaken, a few Asian beers are now on the menu. *** ORIGINAL REVIEW *** "You've got to be all mine, all mine Phoxy Pho Here I come, baby I'm comin' to get ya!" So, those might not be EXACTLY lyrics that Jimi Hendrix wrote, but if Jimi would have eaten here, he would have. Pho: Excellent. Most excellent indeed. The rich flavors are undeniable and the ingredients, including the chicken and the beef, are high quality stuff. Appetizers: Meh. We had the banh mi bites. My son loved them, but I didn't. I'm not a HUGE fan of bruschetta, and that's, basically, what these are. Pate? Nope, not for me. The grilled garlic pork skewers? Not bad, but they didn't rock my world, either. Next time (and there WILL be a next time) the Gyoza will be on my agenda. Drinks: Pomegranate pop and Thai iced tea? The tea was fantastic. The pop was cool, too. No alcohol. But that small simple menu offers a lot of flavor and variety. The portions are really good and the service was spot on I wish there was a little bit better seating options. This place has been on my list for quite some time. They had a great menu for food of course, but I noticed they also offered an amazing drink menu as well. We ordered three shrimp appetizer to test out and then ordered our Pho. I I was very happy with that flavor, but I was hoping the sauce options would've been a tad more. Upon arrival, my party of 2 waited at least 20+ minutes as there were a few groups ahead of us. There's no way of knowing who was there first until the waitress/host ask who's next--which was very unorganized. At least 3 tables left while each group continued to wait--seems they are shorted handed as there was only one waitress and no host. We kept it simple and ordered the Phoxy Pho Special and the broth was excellent, but I wouldn't order the Banh Mi again. I wish I could say something about the food but my friends and I never got the chance to try it. I went there with 3 of my friends on Sunday afternoon and I have to say, I have never experienced anything like this in my life! The waitress was Horrible! She told my friend that she was taking too long to give her an order and she had other tables to wait on. She told us that her regular customer told her we were "talking about her and if we had something to say to say it to her face". I was in shock! We are all old enough to be her mother! She was so disrespectful we had to speak to her manager. This girl should never work in hospitality in her life. She had the nerve to have a tattoo that said WWJD on her arm. I think Jesus would be absolutely disgusted by her. She should burn that tattoo off her arm. The manager was gracious and apologized for her but I really hope she no longer works there. Do you love Pho? If so, you *have* to check out Phoxy! The broth is divine, the toppings and proteins are fresh, and the noodles are perfect. The appetizers and sides are just as delicious, and everything is served with a friendly smile, coming from both the wait staff, as well as from the kitchen. While the location is a little off the beaten path for some in Toledo, it's super easy to get to from pretty much anywhere, there is plenty of parking, and the prices can't be beat. I was really looking forward to opening of Phoxy, partly because it would be the closest pho place from Maumee, but mainly because the owner is son of Pho Viet Nam. Recipes can't veer too far from the OG, can it? So I was right. Broth was very close to what PVN offers, but not exactly 100%. I presumed this is the case because he wanted to put just a little bit of his twist to the recipe. In fact, not all menu offerings are the same, either. He kept staple items like a few variations of pho, a fee of rice dishes, etc. bit he didn't mimic the other menu, which I appreciated and was sad at the same time. It definitely has more up-to-date, stylish and "young" feel to his menu. His "younger" touch is shown not only on his menu, but from the interior deco, too. Ambiance is definitely younger and hipper, which I would expect from the young owner. We had a garlic skewer for apetizer, which was amazing. My daughter was digging it so much that she ended up with 2.5 skewers out of 3 that were served, which means my wife and I each took one bite off one. Both pho and hu tieu were very good, too. Definitely better than most I've gotten around town. The only reservation I have comes down to the fact that I just *absolutely* love the way PVN makes their food. Even tho Phoxy makes it very close to the OG, I can't help but compare it, and I have my preferences. Again, this is not a knock on Phoxy at all. It's gonna come down to personal subjectivity. For me, it'll come down to whereabouts in town I am when I'm craving pho. If I'm near Toledo, I will always prefer PVN, but if I'm closer to home, I can definitely do with Phoxy. Either way, Phoxy serves excellent food, and I would gladly recommend to anyone in town. read more

For Toledo it's ok and I may be biased. I preferred pho noodle and I didn't like pho Vietnam at all. For those who don't know the owner of phoxy pho is the son of the owners of pho Vietnam. The broth is good, the portions are large and the dumplings are super delicious. Why 3 stars? Because you're nickled and dimed with every extra you ask for. You get a small amount of hoisin and sriracha sauce to share and a half of a lime wedge. Need more? That'll be a dollar and a full lime. A full wedge would have been fine. The place is trendy and I get the aesthetic but give me a good broth and access to the sauce bottle over tiki art and bamboo chairs. read more

Ordered from here via DoorDash I was excited to have some pho since there's not much here in Toledo. I ordered their spicy pho with pork belly and it was good but the pork was undercooked and I broke out in hives due to it. I've been looking for a new local pho place and I think I've found it. Finally got the chance to stop in and it's nice inside. The Vietnamese coffee was delish. I had the rare Phox (tai). The portion was big and there was a lot of meat. The broth was very refreshing. They also have they in house siracha sauce which was good and had a kick to it. The service was fast. i was unaware of this new testaurant in a little strip mall near the ritzy Inverness Golf Club on Dorr Street in Toledo, Ohio. It was lunchtime and i was waited on very quickly by the very sweet waiter, though there were quite a few customers. He circulated among the customers, distributing freshly made orders of pho in big bowls as well as drinks and water, and checking that everything was satisfactory. I ordered the shrimp pho which had a beautiful broth, big nicely cooked shrimp, with green onions and lettuce and a bowl of toppings like mint, bean sprouts, jalapenos and limes. I chose green jasmine tea which came in a beautiful glass pot with a strainer of loose tea. Phoxy also serves beef, chicken and tendon phos as well as a smaller children's pho, sodas. The phos come with rice noodles but egg noodles are available. Beautiful lunch on a cold day. read more

Relatively good first experience here...server Cody was VERY sweet and attentive. Jasmine tea was excellent, hot Vietnamese coffee on a cold night was wonderful. One in our party felt that the noodle salad was very salty; another felt that the shrimp app was too chewy. Pho got high reviews - very generous portions. Questionable why the Herbivore was served with fish sauce. A little odd that they had no knives to cut apps to share and we ate our apps off tea cup saucers. MY FAVORITE PHO PLACE CLOSED! Not to fear, Phoxy Pho is owned by the son of the former owners of Pho Vietnam (my favorite)! He knows how to make this stuff! I ordered the small Rare Pho and it was delicious! Lots of beef, noodles and all the fixins - delicious! I can't imagine how big the large must be. The place is really cool inside. Everything's new, and very clean (although the bathroom could use some love with the floor). I'm sure that will be addressed in the near future. It's pretty small inside, so I would guess as folks find out about the place, getting a seat will be difficult. We were there around noon and there were 7 of us dining at that time. I think they did several carry out orders too. Not too sure how many folks try to make this stuff (I have). It's a really long, laborious task. Having someone else do it is really the right way to go. It's also rather expensive since most butchers don't give away soup bones anymore and the other accoutrement quickly add up. Anyway, the bill came to $20 bucks with the tip. Considering the cost of ingredients and the labor to make a pot of Pho (get it? pot-au-feu - look it up!!!), finding a place where you can buy it already made is the better way to go.
