Updated: Can you play Pokémon with boba and "catch them all?" Yes, yes, you can! In the last few days I've tried the SoCal Fresh (fresh squeezed orange juice with green tea) and the rose tea. The SoCal was weirdly addictive and refreshing, even though I was skeptical at first. Be bold and try things because they will remake it if you hate it! The Rose tea was absolutely lovely, but I had them make it less sweet (that's a thing so ask!). They use a syrup and milk and it's just so delightful. In addition to the great taste I still can't get over how lovely these things are! And bonus--to encourage reuse they will give you .25 cents off to reuse your cup. Hooray!!! Goleta (and the greater Santa Barbara area) finally has a great boba place! Not sure why it has been so hard to find good Asian food locally, but I'm so heartened to have found this place. This is the best boba in town. Hands down. In fact, it's not only the only boba in town worth drinking, but good even by LA standards. No powder here, just good, straight up delicious teas with real, fresh ingredients. So many places use artificially flavored scented tea, and loose soggy and flavorless boba but this is the real deal. The teas are high quality with good flavor, and the boba is gummy and delicious. So far I've only had a chance to try the lychee green tea, but there were actual pieces of fruit. Can't wait to go back and try them all. Despite being open for less than a month, Phresh has quickly become one of my favorite places for teas! My first time here, not realizing what time it was, I came just as they were closing, but was still cheerfully greeted by the employees who insisted on taking my order anyway. With a single sip, you can tell the drinks here are made with quality ingredients along with the food they serve here as well. Came in tonight because I was looking for a new boba spot. This place is really new and clean which I loved. They have a good amount of seating area and offer board games and cards which is awesome. (jenga, connect four, and other games) I ordered the milk tea boba which was delicious. I had to ask for ice and boba added because it doesn't come with it. It was still really good. My friend ordered the mango smoothie with boba and loved it. I tasted it and found it really refreshing. Prices are fair and service is great with friendly employees! With the few boba places we have in Santa Barbara, Phresh Teas hits the spot. I'm not saying this place is life changing but if you're craving a simple milk tea with boba, this place has your back. I was also pleasantly surprised with how good their popcorn chicken is! I've had my share of popcorn chicken in SD & OC and I can confirm it's as good as the ones from down south. Although I do wish, they did have ranch dressing as a side for the chicken (that's just my preference). Nonetheless, come visit this place if you want your Taiwanese food cravings fix. Heads up to the out of towners/non-locals, yes the drinks & food are pricey than what you're used to but hey it's Santa Barbara (what do you expect?). At least they do it right. read more

Phresh Tea is probably one of the best places in Santa Barbara to get boba. Hands down. The taste of their items wouldn't be out of place in Los Angeles, land of super-competitive and good quality boba places. If you stick to their normal milk teas or flavored teas, the prices are pretty reasonable too! I got the lychee green tea with boba, while my friends got the SoCal Rose(?), Ube milk tea, and rose milk tea. The lychee green tea was very clean and refreshing, and the boba remained chewy and soft for the duration of my drink, which can't be said for other places. I got less sugar and less ice, and it was just right for me. If you have a sweet tooth but you're trying to cut down some sugar, I'd highly recommend getting less sugar. The ube milk tea was pretty powdery, and probably my least favorite of all our orders. The SoCal rose (I might have gotten the name mixed up) is a rose green tea with fresh squeezed orange juice. It was super refreshing and the color is also very nice. The rose milk tea was pretty standard. Good, but not much to write about it besides that. Passion fruit Paradise is really refreshing, a great blend of passion fruit and lemon-lime flavor. Their Hokkaido milk tea is a bit underwhelming, it wasn't particularly rich in milk taste, and the tea surprisingly didn't taste too good either. I got this during my second visit, and the boba they gave me was wayyyy too soft as well. Overall, the consistency of their drinks and boba texture could be better, but the taste is pretty undeniable. read more

This boba place if definitely the best and authentic ones in the SB area. Everyone from the bay and socal who live here knows how hard it is to find a place with consistent quality for boba drinks. I've never been disappointed in Phresh Teas. The fruit teas are most definitely the best in the area. Refreshing, tasty, and not saccharine, the boba is incredibly well made in terms of texture and sweetness as well! Their popcorn chicken is the one that is probably the most authentic taiwanese popcorn chicken hands down! The spices and the fact they fry the Thai basil along with the chicken gives it an irresistible smell and taste and it comes with the small skewer sticks and a sweet chili which gives it that street food touch. I think it's nice that I'm giving this place 2 stars. We got a drink from here along with our Uniboil order in midJune. I had Phresh when it first opened (?) last school year or so, and ... I don't remember what I thought about it. (But back then I was comparing to 626/909 places so it really wasn't comparable.) Now (since we live here and not Oxnard anymore and LA is further,) I haven't been over there in a while, we decided to try it again. They don't have regular milk tea (e.g., black tea).. Their regular (house?) milk tea is oolong. Which is fine, because I also like oolong milk tea. But what... on earth... When I first started to drink it, we were already back at home, so it's not like we could go bcak and complain and change our drinks.. but WHY DID IT TASTE LIKE PLUM? (like asian plum drink)... Sooo disappointing. I think fiance went to buy mojo tea for me to make up for this disappointment. (And yuh. That's the mojo in IV.. get the PASSIONFRUIT YOGURT!!! I tried both the strawberry yogurt and the passionfruit yogurt but the passionfruit flavor is at least 3 times better. I've tried their phresh fruit tea and ube milk tea too which were pretty good, but both drinks still doesnt compare to their passionfruit yogurt. I thought the yogurt drink was was going to be like a liquid (like yakult) but it's more like a slush/smoothie. There aren't that many good boba places here in Goleta/SB/IV, but phresh tea is definitely one of my favorites. They are very consistent with their drinks and none of the drinks that I tried from there, including both the ones I ordered and what my friends ordered, disappointed me. From the time we got there to getting out drink....it took 30 min. There was a group of 6 girls who ordered before us, only one person working the register and making the Boba. I felt really bad for the employee because she looked stressed. I did like how she told us it would take her 10 min before she took our order because she wanted to make the order for the big group before us. Ordering food was faster- seems like they had at least 2 people cooking. I ordered the green tea peach tea with lychee jelly and lychee and strawberry popping boba, but my order came out wrong and I didn't want to wait for her to change the order because it probably would have had to wait another half an hour. I came in for a standard milk tea, so I opted for their Phresh Milk Tea. It contains milk, fyi. I'm not lactose so all good. $6.99 for 24oz is the most I have ever paid for a milk tea. And also add that extra $.50 cc fee, really. And to the taste. When I watch someone pour my milk tea from a refrigerated pitcher, I know it's not going to be the best. My standards (in no order) are 85C, Sharetea, HappyLemon, Brew Tea Bar. Their taste of tea is always a prominent marker. I'm not sure what I taste in this Phresh tea. Worker was nice. Taste is meh. Ordering my food took a while like 25 minutes because they didn't know that we ordered. Had to go to the table to ask for my food because they didn't realize to ask the only parties in the store if the food was theres. They didn't even announce that the food was done and the Spam Musubi was pretty mid wouldn't get it again appearance was good but overall taste was pretty forgettable. This is the best place for my boba fix in SB. The tea and boba at Phresh is hands-down the best in Santa Barbara. Although I've had muuuuuch better in LA and Bay Area, this place satisfies my cravings (mostly addiction lol). The orange rose tea, rosie milk tea, dirty latte, matcha latte and phresh milk tea are some of my go-tos. As for add-ons, their boba is on the chewier side, and their lychee and grass jelly are pretty spot on. The popcorn chicken is ok, and their bentos are a little pricey (I think a popcorn chicken bento was $13 and it was mostly rice). The prices are typical boba shop prices and adding boba to some drinks costs extra. However, it is still a little bit pricey, especially the Phresh milk tea which can cost $7 for the big size(?!?!). The service is always good and waiting times are reasonable since they only staff 1-3 people usually depending on how busy they are. read more

Got there 10 min early and waited outside with a friend before they opened at 11:30. At 11:30 we went in and I ordered the Passion Fruit Green Tea and asked for boba. The cashier told us the boba isn't ready yet and would we be okay with waiting 50 MINUTES. My friend and I were so taken aback because this is a boba shop. If there is anything that you should have at opening, it's boba. To add on to that the cashier wasn't very friendly either. We opted to not wait so I got lychee jelly instead. Hi everyone I'm giving this place a 5-star rating. I've had a lot of boba in my day (Sharetea, Kung Fu Tea, Honey Boba, Ootea, Lollicup, Half & Half) and this place was really good! The staff let us sample their Hokkaido Milk Tea and Phresh Milk Tea and they were very flavorful and rich. They use milk powder for most of their drinks and said if you're lactose-intolerant, the milk powder drinks shouldn't make your stomach upset. This place is refreshing, in multiple ways. It brings a fresh style to Goleta/Santa Barbara, as of matter of fact I felt more like I was in Irvine when I was there. I had their Phresh Tea with boba and it was amazing! The drinks come in a solid tall cup with a lid and holes for the straw which is different from the traditional boba cup which you have to forcefully punch a hole into. They have some small food items in the menu but I did not get around to trying them. I really love the area where this place is located, I hope that it brings some of the students out of Isla Vista to experience the rest of town all whilst providing an outlet for open minded folk in the neighborhood. I can definitely see it being a great place to study or just drop by to enjoy a drink and avoid the heat wave, I hope that they will remain here for a good time! read more

Came here last night. Got some Ube milk tea. Which was great not too sweet, but enough to make it taste flavorful! Also got some popping fish balls and fried tofu. They were both good, a bit spicy but I still really like them! It was a bit pricey for how much you get. But worth going to if that's what you're craving.
