Expensive pho duck pho. Shit ramen with minimal veggies and 10 times more expensive than the real things. But served by Chinese so what should be expected. Worst pho I have ever eaten. Can't wait to get over seas for the real thing

Absolutely delicious!!! It's a nice lil spot along the road in a pkg lot of other stores on the other side. Nice, small, homey feeling. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. I was there to try many things but heard good things about banh xeo. Since banh xeo had a few options on the menu then it must have been good. Food service was quick and they definitely didn't forget anything. Utensils already on the table along w sauces and they give napkins, extra plates and check on you periodically. This place is a definite must try!!

Phuong has been my favorite Vietnamese spot in town for years and they never fail to impress! The staff is always so kind and the food is literally to die for. They always make you feel right at home.

Came back to try again while in the area. Perfect pho for a cold day and they were kind enough to split it which I really appreciated. Service always friendly. The wings were a no for me. Ok tasting but 3 wings? Nah. The rolls are back to their former glory and we ate em up! Perfect!

Crab Rangoons. Tasty, but small in size.

So while me and my ride or die were in town for an event, we were at our favorite thai spot. While eating a couple behind us, asked if we were from Charleston to which I replied that we frequent the area regularly. He proceeds to tell us that we should check out Phuong because he felt it was the best Vietnamese food in Charleston. A bold statement but the next day after the event, we decided to humor that man and give it a try. We ordered the fresh roll with shrimp without pork the crab rangoons, chicken and shrimp fried rice and the special noodle with just shrimp and chicken. What a let down. The fresh shrimp roll was delicious and the crab rangoons were good, spite the fact they were very small and there was an odd amount given. The main entrees leave a lot to be desired. The fried rice was bland with no flavor at all, the chicken tasted bland and the fact I had to use soy sauce which I havent had to use in almost 4 years speaks volumes. The special noodles were just as bland and to me it didnt give or do justice. I understand people like this place, but it wasnt my cup of tea. The Pho and Pad Thai place that had just opened up has already received my business twice in one week. That's where I will continue to patronize as food tastes fresh, flavorful with immaculate customer service.

    Spring Rolls (Goi Cuon)

My husband was out near here and I know we tried it "in house" a while back with a cranky toddler, so it was the best, but totally not their fault. Anyhow, my husband was working in the area and so he picked up food to go. For starters we got their Spring Rolls, but two orders lol! Spring Roll (Goi Cuon) (2 Pcs) Shrimp, pork inside Vietnamese spring roll. Served with peanut sauce. We also got the pork and shrimp pancake which is a Vietnamese style crepe with pork, shrimp and sprout side. Serve with vegetable plate and fish sauce. And for entree we also got Bun Dac Biet which Comes with egg roll, sliced pork, chicken, beef and shrimp. But we always sub chicken for extra other stuff.... The food was generous portions and so flavorful! I can't wait until my husband works in that area again, so we can try way more!!

Been a long minute since I've stopped at my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Had a friends visiting from Germany so our group met them there since it was one of their favorites when they lived in the area. Started with Spring Rolls (Goi Cuon) and Vietnamese Egg Rolls. Outstanding as always. Several of us had the #50. Com Chien Dac Biet, basically fried rice with shrimp and meats...it never disappoints. Always a solid choice if you can't decide from their extensive menu. One of our friends had the Pho Tài and that's always a great meal here. Will be back once the weather cools to enjoy their Pho, that's Pho sure!

I've driven passed for years and finally decided to stop. The place is very quaint but clean and refreshing. We were greeted and seated immediately. The waitress was very thorough in making sure she understood what we ordered. We ordered pork wontons and I ordered #16 pho. The broth was sweeter than I have previously had. Normally I add Sriracha because I don't feel like I get enough jalapeño but I did this time. Very good Pho and I will be back for more!

I've heard rave reviews about this hidden gem! Phuong offers so many appetizing dishes. I got #21 which was a seaweed broth egg soup with shrimp, wontons, and pork. We did a carry-out option and the takeout was packaged nicely. The soup comes in a separate container to which you add the basil, bean sprouts, meat, etc. to the broth. Highly recommend the spring rolls with peanut sauce, the coolness of the noodles and shrimp with pork was a good texture. I forgot what my bae got, I think #66? Either way it was delish! I liked that my dish wasn't overly salty either. The staff is friendly and found the meal prepping to be quick! New favorite take-out spot.

This is my #2, go-to for genuine Vietnamese meals and delicious tea. Not very big inside, but you gotta visit and enjoy the atmosphere and homemade and large portions of flavorful dishes. Don't let the area fool you, this is truly a hidden gem that's been around quite a while sometime.

Excellent authentic Vietnamese food. Pho was very flavorful. I like to try pho in different places I travel and this place does not disappoint at all. Good portion size and affordable.

This is so so so bad. I can't believe I gave them another chance. Never again. This is the biggest rip off in Charleston. I've had the worst day ever and thought I remember this place being really good. Got the combination pho with extra bean sprouts and it's like a spiteful amount of bean sprouts that I paid extra for with little to no meat at all. The brisket that is there is grey and the metallic thinly sliced whatever this is, is thinner than air. Ridiculous. This place sucks.

This is a very good authentic option for Vietnamese food in the area. The customer service is always very good. They have some of the best fresh rolls I've had. I didn't get a pic sadly because they went fast!

The staff are friendly and the food is fast and excellent. The best I have had in Charleston and surrounding areas. I get the large plain pho because I have meat texture issues, this is more than enough food and at $11.29 it's a home run! When you see Asian families going to enjoy this place and they aren't related to the owners, you know the food is authentic. One gentleman who was seated after me today, was explaining to the owner that he just returned from a trip to his home in Thailand. My mom lives in Goose Creek. There's a Vietnamese restaurant in her town but the food in my opinion isn't that good. So expanding our area we found pho 79 with a ton of good reviews. It's in Otranto shopping center which is rundown but the restaurant itself is clean and bright. For appetizers we got spring rolls/summer rolls one with shrimp only and one with shrimp and pork. I didn't love the pork but the spring rolls were good. They add herbs and had the right ratio of filling. We both got the grilled chicken vermicelli bowl. It was tasty but I'm not used to getting peppers and onions in my noodle bowls but I liked it. I got a little extra salad dressing and added some sriracha. I like sambal but they didn't have any. Sriracha is a solid backup. For our meal with tip it was $62 and some change. I'll go back next time I'm in town but I'd like to try their pho next time. Portion sizes are big and we brought leftovers home for later.

My server was friendly, food came out at a reasonable speed but I could tell it was cooked fresh. I ordered chicken satay and chicken pad thai. The satay was nicely grilled and the peanut sauce had a good cilantro flavor to it. The pad Thai I ordered medium on the hotness and was a bit hotter than I expected medium to be (I'm pretty fine with spices but I had to blow my nose a few times after the meal). If you don't like spice, stick to the mild. Portion sizes were good, I walked out full but not bloated, but I didn't have any leftovers either. Price was a bit higher than it should be for this meal, but that's becoming an epidemic all over the area lately, food prices are going up much faster than anything else and far out of proportion to a paycheck. $38 after tip for an appetizer, basic entree, and water felt high to me. But maybe I'm just old and remember when a nickel could buy a house and need to start readjusting my price expectations. J.Ja

The steak that accompanied it was also delicious. The tomato cucumber salad was fresh, but could've used a little more salt in my opinion. The bao bun and tacos were also nice and great portions. I would say for me I didn't love the pad Thai in comparison to the many that I've had before, because it was a bit different in flavor profiles than what I'm used to.
