Yearly exam time here. I must admit that since the passing of my previous eye doctor, the care regarding the front desk staff has gone down a bit. They seem a bit cold and standoffish. The service is okay, it's just the little things I tend to notice. The staff in the back that takes care of the initial vision assessments were okay. Dr.Etter, the new physician, is ok as well. Maybe being so used to an eye doctor who provided my vision care for over 30 years and is now gone is a difficult void for another doctor to fill for me at this time. All in all, I will continue to come here until a time I feel that I may need to move on to another provider. read more

I came in for an emergency appt after being in an accident and stated I wasn't at fault. In the middle of my appt, a lady named Cindy from billing came in the back and wanted $200 and told me to pay it now, and request reimbursement from my insurance, this is AFTER I'm in the back being seen, provided insurance and claim numbers. I paid $200 out of pocket because they refused my insurance. And the dr wanted a follow up visit in a week. I contacted the front desk, got an appt for tomorrow, and asked what the expectation was and front desk told me $130 for follow up visits. I asked to speak with billing, reached the same Cindy, and from the very start of the call, she was interrupting me, yelling over me, extremely rude after I just wanted clarity on what the out of pocket expense is. I requested a supervisor, she claims she is the supervisor. And I said the way she speaks to people is inappropriate. She claimed I never provided insurance information. I gave the info to her in writing the day of. She had everything and I was forced to pay anyway. At this point, i asked her if she had any proof in writing she informed me she would bill my insurance, and she said no. Obviously not, because I paid. I asked to cancel the appt. She refused to cancel my appointment and decided to be petty and ask me for an email in writing stating I want the appointment canceled. I asked her why she needs an email and her response was "you asked me for something in writing so I'm asking you." That is the rudest associate I have ever encountered in my entire life, and I will never recommend this facility. You don't know how to speak to people and you shouldn't be working in billing. read more

I am new to the area and had my first visit with Dr. Etter. The staff who's kind and appropriate and Dr. Etter was very patient with explaining everything to me. I highly recommend this doctor. read more

Got eye glasses here about 2years ago . Had a problem with the frame loosening and a screw falling out . Took it too them a it was repair in one day no charge . They stand behind their product . read more

Doctor Pillai is wonderful. The issue is getting someone on the phone is crazy. For prescriptions you have to leave a voicemail. No one answers that phone. read more

I visited Pine Heights location I was overcharged for my visit. A staff member was unprofessiona. The staff released my medical information in the reception area I didnot my info to be shared Do their employees know about the HIPPA Law.The service was poor in the front are of the office This was my second visit. This review is solely for the eyeglass retail store that is inside of physicians eye care. I went and had an eye exam after my exam was done they send you over to purchase glasses all of the glasses there were out of my price range so I asked if I could have my prescription to go somewhere that took my insurance or somewhere where I could afford to purchase. well she was fine with giving me my prescription but failed to tell me that she left out the most important part and that was the PD and inorder to get that from them they want to charge you a $75 fee. I am a single mother I'm sorry I do not have $75 cash just sitting in my purse for a number that should have very well been included in my prescription. read more

I had an eye injury on Saturday, April 22, 2017. I found an optometrist who was open and they saw me on an emergency basis. I didn't now Physician's Eye Care has an ophthalmologist on call 24 hours a day. Anyway I followed up on Monday April 24, 2017 at Physician's Eye Care and had the great pleasure of being treat by Dr. Jonathan Etter. Dr. Etter is a specialist with corneas and he had such amazing skills. I had intense eye pain for three days but Dr. Etter prescribed a steroid eye drop. By Tuesday my pain was almost gone and by Wednesday I was back to work. I continued to follow up with Dr. Etter and my eye is completely healed now. I will be seeing Dr. Etter for many years to come because he is so kind and an amazing doctor. read more

I recently underwent bilateral cataract surgery . Dr Dhannawat was my surgeon. I had been told many years before that I had cataracts but they weren't ready to be removed. As my eyesight worsened over the last 6 months I made an appointment with Dr Dhannawat for an eye exam. The entire staff starting with receptionist, then technicians who did testing and then with the Dr were exceptional. They explained all of the tests that were being done. Dr Dhannawat told me at that time I needed cataract surgery and informed me that I had bilateral Posterior Polar Cataracts which present some challenges with the procedure. She gave me some information on them, answered my questions and was very kind and patient. The staff arranged all my appointments for surgery and follow up. They gave me all of my instructions and prescriptions were already called in. My surgery was done without any problems but it was great to know that Dr D. was prepared in case anything happened. I can't say enough about how much of a positive experience this has been. Shoutout to the Snowden River Surgery Center too! They are the best! read more

I would like to thank dr Dhannawat for her top notch quality services that she continue to accord me While under her care. she is very caring, very professional and with very great bed side manors. she puts me at ease and answers all my questions that I have during my visits and my cataract surgery which I underwent on 9/27/21. she was right there to help me even though I was very anxious. I'm still going through surgery on my left eye.though these procedures seems easy, they are nerve racking and can be scaring especially when you read what can go wrong. But dr Dhannawatt has been very assuring and understanding. she actually offered the laser surgery for free which is a blessing to me since I'm paying a lot out of pocket. I thank God for her and I would recommend her to my family and friends or anyone looking for a doctor who treat you as a human being other than just another patient she has to see. we are new to each other but it's like she has been my eye dr for along time. keep up a good work dr.
