I asked for a glass of water and Diet Coke with lime. My husband asked for the same. Out came 1 cup of warm water with no ice and a single can of Diet Coke. Hmm? Did the waitress think we were sharing and what happened to the lime? Now let's move onto the meu. We had a difficult time deciding because nothing stood out as desirable on the menu. We didn't order any appetizers, but they did look good. I opted for the Curry Katsu Don. The chicken was pretty good but a portion was undercooked. My husband couldn't find anything he liked, so he settled for the bowl of broth with noodles and added the fried chicken balls. That was a bit of a miss. The place itself is cute but resembles a takeout restaurant with Anime covering the walls. I can see this being a good place for college kids to frequent because the pricing is very reasonable. I've been wanting to come here for a while because I loved the decor, so we decided to stop by for a Friday night date about an hour before closing. It was pretty busy, but we were still able to find a table. We started with the Cha Shu Bun, and it was delicious. I'm usually not a big fan of pork belly because of the chewy texture, but this one was so good. The sauce really made it. For mains, my partner ordered the spicy miso ramen and substituted the ground pork for kara-age chicken. I ordered the spicy tantanmen ramen and did the same substitution. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. We also ordered slushies. I got the lychee and my partner got the strawberry. Both were super refreshing and the perfect addition to the meal. We stopped in here on a whim, I've never been to a Ramen restaurant, so I can't compare it to any others. The ambience is pretty cool looking, but the restaurant felt a little grimy. The Ramen tasted just like Ramen. Nothing to write home about. The service was fast and courteous, and the food tasted fresh. My daughter got plain Ramen and it taste just like the Ramen that you would cook in a package. The broth was a little thicker. I got the veggie Ramen. It was OK. Maybe Ramen is just not my thing. The last time I had laksa was in Singapore, which is probably why this rating is lower. I enjoyed the shrimp and the other veggies packed into the dish, but my problem was with the broth. It didn't have the tangy/coconuty/deep flavor that I was expecting from a laksa -- in other words, I think it was bland. This is my daughter's favorite ramen restaurant and she's a picky eater that usually only eats Mac and cheese and chicken tenders and fries. I love that they have just ramen and broth for the kids because she doesn't like the vegetables that come with the fancier ones. I love that they also incorporate Vietnamese food into their menu too with the Pho and Spring rolls. Most restaurants usually just have vegetable spring rolls but this place has meat in it and it just doesn't taste like a spring rolls but full of cabbage like other places. I have tried almost the whole menu from going there numerous times with my family. These service is great and the place is decorated with Japanese Magna. Tis the season for Ramen. When it is so cold outside, I always crave ramen. I've been here a couple of times. I've had ramen, boba tea, and the fried chicken rice bowl. The ramen frankly was probably the worst I've ever had. The bamboo shoots tasted/ smelled very fermented and the meat was not cooked well. I decided to try the bowls and those are much better. The fried chicken is made very well. The boba tea is also solid. The place looks cool as well with a lot of references tlto DBZ and other anime. I'd probably come here if I was going to the local theaters. read more

Kamehameha! Oops, sorry. Got caught up in my childhood of watching Toonami to catch episodes of Dragon Ball Z. You might just do the same when you walk into Meet Noodle and get transported to a land of anime...well, anime and food. My fiancée and I took a chance on Meet a few weeks ago with mixed results. I say mixed because perhaps in the end, I enjoyed my meal (and the whole experience) more than her. Though before we get to the food, let's just take a step back to that aforementioned anime aspect. Meet Noodle is a relatively tiny location that almost resembles your average whole-in-the-wall Chinese food takeout spot. What makes it dramatically different are the walls of anime characters from a variety of shows. I'm not a massive anime fan, but oh did I spend my time loving on DBZ which just so happens to be the majority of what you'll find pictured (along with a giant Goku statue at the front). It's a fabulous aesthetic which even extends into the flavored Dragon Ball seltzer drinks for sale. If you ever wanted to drink something with Buu on it, now's your chance. Beyond the awesome interior, you'll find a somewhat simple menu that grabs from a variety of Asian backgrounds. Ramen, pho, and curry dishes make up the options along with some other edible items. We decided to go in the pho direction with my fiancée getting the Pho Brisket (with no bean sprouts) and me getting the Classic Pho Bo. An order of pan-fried pork gyoza and vegetable spring rolls also found their way into our to-go meal. The friendly employee typed in our items, read it back to us, and told us it would take about 10 minutes for it to be ready (which wasn't that far off). Once home (after a 15 minute drive), we opened up the bag to find everything to still be piping hot. Better yet, the Pho was deconstructed so we added in the broth (and the beansprouts I chose to still get) which kept everything from getting soggy. Let's start at the gyoza first which had a nice flavor even if they didn't have that slight crispness you sometimes get from fried ones. The vegetable spring rolls were spot on with some sweet chili dipping sauce on the side. My fiancée might agree that both items were solid enough. Here's where we veered course from each other. Well, to be honest, we're pho/ramen novices so at this point you might want to take this review with a grain of salt (or a leaf of cilantro). For her, she wasn't loving the flavor of the beef broth and/or her brisket (which honestly looked quite fatty). For me, I thought the broth was tasty enough and I enjoyed the sliced rare beef and rice noodles. The cilantro added some great flavoring though got a little much by the end. Plus my own slice of beef brisket were a bit fatty too. This basically turned off the female from getting too much farther into her bowl, but luckily, I'm the one writing the review, heh heh. Overall, I'm giving Meet Noodle a 3.5 with a round up as the place was cool enough, friendly enough, and food tasty enough for me to potentially partake in another bowl of something (maybe tonkatsu ramen next time). I can't guarantee when that next time will be, but I'll vouch for Meet Noodle in saying it's worth trying at least once if for no other reason than to imagine you're a Super Saiyan. read more

Delicious ramen! I got the Tonkotsu ramen with an extra egg and added a regular amount of spicy. The broth was rich with flavor. The chashu was a thick cut and slightly seared. The marinated egg was cooked perfectly and added a sweet touch. All the flavors complemented each other well. I am picky with my ramen and this is definitely a spot I'll come back to. The only DBZ themed ramen restaurant I've visited is all the way in Orlando so having one closer is amazing! For any anyone who likes anime, walking into this restaurant is like heaven. The restaurant itself is pretty small and the first time I went it was pretty packed, so I can only assume that there might be a possibility of not getting a table if it's full. COME TRY THIS PLACE! This is a new spot that just opened in March 2022. Reminds me of Naruto Ramen in Plainview. Great vibes! The pictures speak for themselves. The food is good, not great. The ramen was very heavy/oily, so don't go playing basketball after your ramen sesh like I did. The ramen noodles itself wasn't as chewy as I would've liked. They felt a little cheap. Soup was flavorful but nothing special. The anime drinks was a cool idea but didn't taste that great. I got the white grape which was a little bland, and my friend got the orange which was better (tasted like Fanta). However, the owner of the place is super nice and very accommodating. Treated us very nicely. Come support him! My only suggestion would be to CHANGE THE MUSIC SELECTION. I study at Panera Bread a lot and I swear they are playing the same playlist I was enjoying my ramen with my chopsticks and anime decor but "Sweet Home Alabama" was playing in the background Definitely missed a step there... We tried Meet Noodle a while back with a few appetizer items like the Spring rolls and Cha-shu buns, but were not impressed.  Last week, we gave it another shot because we wanted to see what 'good' ramen was like.  We got the Kaarage version.  This comes with seaweed, fried chicken, green onion, and an egg. It was an unpleasant suprise.  The chicken was nothing but tough, nasty-tasting breading on the outside, chewy and gray inside.  The noodles were almost raw.  The weird, awful breading taste stuck with us all day and well into the night (even though we didn't finish it).  We didn't actually get food poisoning but did not feel all that well afterward. Two stars for friendly staff or it would be one star. If this is good ramen I'll stick to the stuff you buy in the little packet.  At least it won't have rubber chicken in it. read more

I was craving noodles so I decided to check this place out. The inside is decorated with a bunch of anime characters, kind of cute but also comes off a little bit tacky in my opinion. However we are here for the food and not the interior design. I had the spicy Tantanmen ramen. I love that the bowl comes out piping hot! It's topped with a perfectly soft boiled egg, plenty of scallion and bokchoy, and nicely seasoned minced ground pork. The broth was flavorful with a nice kick. A diverse menu awaits! Actually ordered delivery from Meet Noodles (because I was not going to step foot outside my house in torrential rain) and received my order pretty quickly despite the weather. Decided to try out the Curry Laksa with a can of Goku. The laksa itself was good! A nice creamy and not overly spicy broth. Plenty of large shrimp included and the marinated egg on top rounded it all out. I can't speak for authenticity but, I do wish the broth was a bit more complex but, still very tasty! My can of Goku, actually turned out to be a can of Buu. No complaints because I do love that oogly blob. The Buu can was a peach soda, with plenty of candy peach flavor. Phenomenal food. The broth was rich and creamy. The pork belly was soft and melted in your mouth but had a nice outside char. The bamboo shoots had the light flavor of sake and with the richness of the broth it danced in my mouth. This place needs to be talked about like the gospel on ramen.
