The restaurant from the outside has darkened windows and looks closed, but it was open. Went there despite "Meh" rating at 3 stars because there's no Greek places near me in 10952. My Over all rating = Meh (Barely acceptable, but no huge complaints either) Service - meh Food - meh Facility - meh Protip: Greek Village in Northvale, NJ seems better rated although I haven't been there yet. That's my next stop for Greek. It's 15min north from PGK. If you go inside its furnished in modern industrial type of decor. Having said that, the restaurant wasn't well run. When I walked in there were very few customers, but few tables were left dirty with dishes and food bits still on them. The floor in similar fashion looked like it hasn't been swept for a bit. I can see paper strip from the straw, gum rapper, and some food. One table near the door had a completely dried out grains of rice. Yes, if you are Asian then you know. It's the kind of rice that hurts your foot because your son/daughter left on the floor the last night at dinner and didn't care to pick up. (Asian problems) Seriously, it had to be there for half a day. No one cared to clean this ? Given the amount of business it had at at the time (not much), it would have taken one person 5 min to fix the aforementioned problems. It showed me that the employees/managers didn't really care. Attitude of the employees that talked to me was consistent with what I saw about the facility. They weren't rude, but just seemed disinterested, disconnected and just blah. In terms of food, I got a a decent Pork Souvlaki in pita. I would rate it 6.5 out of 10 or C-. My pork was unevenly cooked. It had a nice char on one side and just light brown on the other. It was just short of being burnt on one side. I didn't love the Tzatziki sauce that was on there either. I don't know about Greek food that much, but I didn't think it was well made. Either that or it wasn't freshly made. Finally, the only veg that was in there was red onion and tomatoes. I usually see lettuce of some sort of lettuce at all other greek places. So....not too hip to go back, but I may go back if I really crave greek and I don't want to drive more than 10 min to get it. read more

Looking for a restaurant where me and my hubby wanted to eat. I was scrolling on yelp and found this spot. We said to give it a try, and man... this was the best decision made. We ordered the chopped salad which was amazing ( I took a photo of the ingredients because I want to make it at home hahaha), I ordered for me chicken skewers platter, then my hubby ordered beef gyro. Everything was superb! We ended with the baklava which was AMAZING!!! Not very sweet, like they usually are, and it had a lot of walnut inside. Obviously it was home made, I felt it right away. Let me tell you that we had a great dinner. The service ( thanks Oscar) was also great, and the only regret that I have is that we don't live nearby ( we are from New York City) so we can visit more often. read more

The staff here is so damn helpful and friendly and the Sicilian slice was really good( ate too fast to take a pic)from pizza side and the Greek food i got to go was awesome as well. The best part is they have d96 beer on tap!!! read more

The atmosphere is dingy , tables and floor dirty, no clean up after people leave their table...food horrible!! I had a veggie souvlaki pita... it was terrible... tomato, cucumber and onion, big , hard chunks in tzatziki sauce which actually was most likely sour cream. A total waste of money and my time. We had a beef gyro and a chicken gyro. Excellent food and the fries stayed crispy for awhile. Too many red onions for my taste but those are easy to pick out. Appreciated that the staff was in masks and didn't needlessly include plastic silver to our takeout without asking. We will return. read more

The food here is pretty good lots of selection between Greek and Italian. The one major complaint I have is I order takeout a lot from there. I would say at least 35 to 40% of the time I need to go back because they let something out simply such as dressing or tzatziki. Seems simple enough but when you get home and unpack your dinner or lunch and something stupid like that is missing it is really annoying plus when I go back to pick it up there is a sense of annoyed employees even when I let them know my experience. This place is dirty. We always went to this Greek restaurant and for some reason, I had never used the rest rooms there. Last year my husband and I went there for sit down dinner like we always have. I went into the bathroom and I could not believe how disgusting it was. It could not have been cleaned for months. There was urine around the toilet and dirt all around the bathroom floor. The garbage was overflowing and the toilet and sink were also dirty. My husband and I walked out. It grossed me out that not one employee, manager or owner had not cleaned that bathroom and mind you, This was during the pandemic when EVERYONE was afraid of germs. How could they not have been taking super clean precautions. .... Now, fast forward a year and a half. My husband and I decided to give it another try. We figured it's a long while later, maybe they got their act together... we walked into the restaurant and we headed towards the sit down area and all we saw were no people eating there and dirty tables with crap on the floors...we walked out. I would NEVER buy food from this establishment, not their pizza or Greek food. I don't know how the health department hasn't flagged them. If their open areas where customers go are dirty, I can't imagine the kitchen area. They also own the Burger Loft and Blu Fig...one can only imagine how disgusting those places are too. read more

Ordered take out from both the Greek and Italian side and it was all delicious! The greek chopped salad was a huge portion and i added avocado and grilled chicken to it so this is definitely a salad to share or split into two meals it was great! The Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) were awesome and you can tell they are home made - you get a lot and they are large so this is a great appetizer to share. I ordered 2 skewers (both the chicken and the beef ) they were phenomenal cooked perfectly. Also had greek fries with lemon they were seasoned really well and came with lemon wedges on the side so they were not soggy they were great! The pizza was crispy and delicious and they def use the high quality cheese. All in all a great experience! I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Love this place! The food is excellent, the service is kind and attentive, and the ambiance is very modern and tasteful. As it's the same owners of the Burger Loft, District 96 Beer Factory, and Blu Fig, it is clear these guys know how to run a restaurant. This business is now take out only and they are doing a lousy job of creating a safe environment for customers to pick up their ordered food. When I showed up to pick up my ordered food, I found more then a dozen people waiting for their food in a crowd like environment which made the place unsafe in todays virus environment. I called for the owner, as a long standing customer, and unfortunately had to deal with the manager, a nasty arrogant man, who had no regard for customer safety. I obviously, will not be back to this restaurant to help them get through these hard times. read more

Huge fan of all the restaurants owned by blu fig. Got super excited that there was a new greek place close by and decided to try it out. Went on a Saturday afternoon and from the outside looked closed and dark inside. It was open but completely empty but figured it was just because it was hot and people didn't want to go out. I got the gyro platter and the pork souvlaki skewer. The gyro platter was so disappointing!! it was super salty and not tasty at all. The rice was awful and i barely ate it. Ordered the gyro expecting it to be lamb as well but they do not serve any lamb. Maybe the other appetizers and entrees were better but i will not be back to try it myself. The chicken and pork taste like burnt char. Vegetables bland.. no seasoning. Lemon potatoes were swimming in oil. Pita tasted like a cheap store bought brand and wasn't even heated up. Safe to say I won't be going back. There is a must better Greek option 5min away. read more

Took a while for us to get here, big fans of their other restaurants. Piata, did not disappoint. Super friendly staff, and great food and drinks. We started with Greek fries, zucchini and eggplant chips, and saganaki. All were great. Sauce with the fries was beyond tasty. Nice selection of drinks as well, and a tight but well selected Greek wine list. Entrees were of equal awesomeness. I wish we went sooner. Can't wait to go back. read more

Food is delicious, fresh & very good. Chopped Salad: nice portion, can be shared, everything is fresh & very good (wish they could chop the cabbage & carrots a little smaller). Spreads: are delicious, Best to get the Pikilia (choose 4 spreads) - comes with fresh pita bites. Spanakopita: is good & filling, this can be shared but I remember it being more puffed out than dense. Entrees are all good & fresh. Had the chicken, beef & shrimp souvlaki platters & skewers. Everything was prepared fresh & delicious. Platters are served with rice, vegetables, pita & tzatziki sauce. Drinks: all their IPA beers are good & Strawberry mojito is delicious! They now serve coffee & Dessert. Desserts are Delicious, Fresh & so good. This place came highly recommended, so I took my mother there for Mother's Day, as she wanted Moussaka. I also love Greek food, but eggplant is not my thing. To my dismay, when we ordered they did not have any Moussaka left, for that matter they did not have any eggplant left. Seriously!!! So Mom had to order something else. She ordered the Souvlaki. She asked for them to substitute risotto instead of rice on her platter. I was informed that there would be a two dollar upcharge which is ridiculous. I asked to speak to the manager about it. Long story short, without us agreeing to the upcharge, they brought her platter with the Rissoto and billed the two dollars. The substitution of the risotto was a small thing to ask of them especially since they ran out of a signature dish. The fact that they charged for it is pathetic. By the way the food while good is not anything special and in all honesty they are kind of overpriced as well for a strip mall spot with poor decor. My recommendation is to find another spot for Greek food. There are several others around Rockland and North New Jersey. Happy hunting. read more

I called to place an order and the person who answered the phone was so unfriendly, she was almost rude. When she answered the phone she said, pick up or delivery. She said it so quickly that I wasn't sure what she said, I replied, excuse me? She again said, pick up or delivery and I replied, pick up. She then said, phone number? I gave her my phone number and then my order. She replied, okay give us 10 minutes and she hung up. How about answering the phone, how may I help you or even a simple Hello. My wife and I have to go to New Jersey to have good mediterranean food in ridgefield, edgewater or ridgewood, Now we do not need to go that far. Tried this place and had the roasted eggplant dip and i had the chicken kebobs while my wife had the beef kebab. it was comparable to the place we go to and I even think better. Glad to finally have a good mediterranean food in Rockland county. Will definitely go back..prices are also reasonable and great service. read more

Huge Disappointment. We are frequent customers of Burger Loft and saw the advertisement for this greek kitchen by the same owners. We should have walked out when we had to ask for the booth to be cleaned, as there was a greasy film on the bench. The bathroom was atrocious. I decided to go for a margarita, big mistake. The glass was filled half way with ice and then a large orange and lemon wedges were added and the wedge itself was dirty (the print was still on it). My guest had 1 good beer but the second was from the bottom of the barrel and quite cloudy. My dinner (stuffed peppers) was totally devoid of taste and lacking feta cheese while being burnt. The Pork Platter was dry, overcooked and the veggies were also burnt. The management "graciously" did not charge us for the awful margarita and cloudy beer, which we returned. They made no apology or reduction for the sub-par food. I believe the owner is now stretched between too many endeavors and this place is really suffering. If you have the option, go to a different greek restaurant. Avoid this place! read more
