Love this place! The food is excellent, the service is kind and attentive, and the ambiance is very modern and tasteful. As it's the same owners of the Burger Loft, District 96 Beer Factory, and Blu Fig, it is clear these guys know how to run a restaurant. Highly recommend anyone looking for something new and exciting to check this place out! Such a unique and well-needed addition to the repertoire of restaurants Rockland has to offer. Side note: The Piata menu is all really incredible Greek food, but this restaurant is connected to Cicero's which sells pizza and mostly American food and you are able to order from both menus. So many options! There is definitely something for everybody.

    Gyro platter

Huge fan of all the restaurants owned by blu fig. Got super excited that there was a new greek place close by and decided to try it out. Went on a Saturday afternoon and from the outside looked closed and dark inside. It was open but completely empty but figured it was just because it was hot and people didn't want to go out. I got the gyro platter and the pork souvlaki skewer. The gyro platter was so disappointing!! it was super salty and not tasty at all. The rice was awful and i barely ate it. Ordered the gyro expecting it to be lamb as well but they do not serve any lamb. Maybe the other appetizers and entrees were better but i will not be back to try it myself. Very disappointing especially compared to blu fig burger loft etc.

Shrimp Skewer - delicious & lots of flavor & the shrimps are devained - $5

These people act they are doing you a favor serving you food. Customer service non-existent. I'll take my money elsewhere.

Food made up for lack of atmosphere. Service friendly, good. I'd go back for the souvlaki- grilled perfectly.

Pita Greek offers bowls and salads (with added protein possible for $6-7), pita sandwiches, and big platters that come with two sides and pita bread. We really enjoyed the chicken gyro (tender), spanakopita (generously filled), and the falafel (surprisingly not dry but some people may prefer a crisper texture). For the sides, we enjoyed the chicken lemon soup and beets most. The lentil soup, scallion rice (similar to pilaf), broccoli (large pieces), and fries were ok too, in that order. The bowls and pita sandwiches are $12 base but we were a bit disappointed that the falafel addition to the bowl only came with three smallish pieces. The big platters are probably the way to go if you want shareables, as each separate item can be more than the $20 for the platter. They have a pita sandwich lunch special with a drink too. They also have kids meals and catering. Wish they had moussaka on the regular menu! They display desserts at the counter and they all looked very sweet. I wasn't expecting much in terms of atmosphere but it looked comfortable and clean in the dining area and there was outdoor seating. There's a shared parking lot in the back which is nice for Middletown Road. But otherwise, street parking is possible.

The hummus was not far behind! And the pitas delicious, soft and fresh. My son is not much for trying new things, so he got a burger and fries. His plate was completely clean - he even tried the tzatziki and hummus appetizers which is a first for him. He said the fries tasted homemade and not frozen and he really liked them. My other son's quesadilla came with "jalapeño sauce"..... it was on the hot side, but good! I could only eat half of my platter, so I brought the rest home. The rice was simple, but good (cooked in chicken broth, and the chicken was delicious, and dipping it in the included tzatziki was an extra treat. Even included a stuffed grape leaf which I love! My husband loved his gyro! We are happy because we take 206 to go to the falls area when we feel like being outside, and aside from a couple of restaurants in Milford, and pizzerias, there's not much up there. This will definitely be our go to place. Next time I'll try to take pictures (I was hungry LOL). The owners seem nice, and it's a family run business, which we love. Don't be taken back by the simple decor and paper plates, this place is worth it. It's probably a little higher than other places in the area, but comparable to other Greek places that we have visited (in Morris or Bergen County).

We split several appetizers and one was better than the other. For dinner, I had the whole fish which was delicious! The others had various specials. The Filet Mignon was beautifully presented and was tender and perfectly cooked as were the Lamb Chops. The Pastitsio and Moussaka were also excellent! We split a few of the different desserts and they were all scrumptious and quite decadent . (Unfortunately, there were no leftovers for doggie bags)! All of the food portions were plentiful and everything was amazing. The food was absolutely superb! Anasa is the perfect choice for a celebration, family get together or even for a quiet romantic dinner. It does not disappoint!!

I hadn't had mediterranean in a while and I'm not head over heels for the place near me so I wanted to try something new. This place seemed decent enough. I ordered a greek salad and hummus with pita. There were varying gyros, another greek salad with chicken, some platters including the falafel platter that GF orderd. My salad was wonderful. The ingredients were fresh and that dressing was lovely. It was a salad I actually enjoyed instead of regretting the entire time I glared at my coworkers who ordered real shit with envy. The hummus was also very creamy, authentic hummus with a slightly different taste than I am used to but head and shoulders above any store bought bullshit. Everyone else said good shit about their food. I tried one of GF's falafel from her platter and it was really good. My only complaint is for $24 or whatever it is, i would expect more than a few falafel balls and one side. Kinda a rip off. But everything tasted really, really good.
