Hoppy Easter!!! Came in for Easter Sunday dinner with some friends. See came in 11 deep! They were super accommodating and gave us a great spot to sit even with little ones. The screen to watch bball was right there it's huge so the men were happy. The space is very well done and super cute. Has two floors. Definitely a modern vibe. It's not too loud which was a relief. There's nothing more annoying than being in a loud ass space with kids and friends da trying to talk over music. The staff was great super chill and kept everything coming in on time which was very appreciated. The food was delish. We did the party platter for tacos and my fav for sure was the brisket, birria and fish. The plantain was ok... and the shaved meat one was alright. Totally will be back

Carlitos is the perfect place to dine/drink before, or after, enjoying the comedy at Levity Live. I was amazed at how beautiful this restaurant is decorated, the size of the entire establishment, including the bar, and the comfort of the seats. I laugh at mentioning the seating, because it's never been a major factor at any restaurant.....until Carlitos. The service was stellar. We had staff members constantly tending to our table and their attentiveness was appreciated. My Passion Fruit Margarita was VERY GOOD. It was deliciously sweet, very strong, and throughly enjoyed. We started with the Esquite appetizer (Grilled corn, morita emulsion, cojita cheese, lime chili powder). This starter was AMAZING. The mixture of the cheese and the dipping sauce was delectable and I appreciated how the corn was off of the cob and neatly presented. My entree was the Carne Asada Tacos. The entire plate was well presented and their drizzling sauce was VERY SPICY, but ohhhh, so good. If you'd prefer Happy Hour, it's available Monday - Friday, from 12:00 - 6:00. I had a memorable time at Carlitos and it will be my go-to restaurant when visiting the Palisades Center Mall.

The ambience, vibe, aesthetics was very contemporary and modern, lots of seating. Place was a bit empty because it is a weekday. Malik our server, came to the table continuously and made suggestions-was a complete gentleman. As far the food: it came quickly, some plates were warm, not hot. The brisket was smoked perfectly, and all the dishes tasted great, presentation was nice and drinks were good. Prices were good especially for happy hour. Hope this place continues and stays for some time.

Wanted to try something different at the mall and I was pleasantly surprised. Carlitos came through from start to finish. The service was amazing, the food delicious, the ambiance was great, and the drinks were awesome. Started with the cheese fundido with chorizo which was nice and cheesy The brisket although cooked well and flavorful it came out tepid. Wish it was hotter. The tacos were delicious and filled with chicken and fish. The carne asada was well seasoned and also tasted great. Couldn't fit desert but am looking forward to the stuffed churros with chocolate.

I've been meaning to try this place since it opened a few weeks ago, and I'm so glad I finally did! There are so many impressive things about this restaurant. Aside from the food being absolutely scrumptious, the atmosphere and energy are incredibly inviting. No shade to the Palisades Mall, but stepping inside this restaurant makes you feel like you're somewhere else entirely, away from the mall's hustle and bustle. The lighting is beautiful, with warm accent lights that create an intimate yet lively vibe. Now, onto the food! Everything I tried was fresh, beautifully seasoned, and high quality- even the corn was cut straight off the cob. Great job! I started the evening with the chicken nachos (featuring that fresh-off-the-cob corn), and they were a perfect way to kick off dinner. My only small qualm is that I wish the cheese had been more melted, but otherwise, they were super tasty and paired with freshly mashed guacamole. For my main course, I ordered the quesabirria tacos with consommé, and they hit the spot! The fresh, cheesy tortilla was generously filled with flavorful meat and served alongside a piping hot consome. If you come, you have to save space for the dessert. Their churros with horchata ice cream is one of the best desserts I've tried at any restaurant. The warm, Dulce de Leche-filled churros paired very well with the ice cream. My friends and I initially came for the margaritas. (By the way, it would have been great if they had done something special for National Margarita Day a few days ago!) We came for the $10 margaritas and ended up staying for the good vibes and delicious food. One last thing! I was happy to see that their upper level appears to be wheelchair accessible! There's a whole elevator, which isn't something I often see in places like this. I appreciate that they're mindful of all patrons. Wonderful job, Carlitos! I can't wait to come back again :)

I was thoroughly impressed with the food quality, kindness of the staff, and the affordable prices. Highly recommend this place. I would even go as far as to say it's in the top 3 Palisades Mall restaurants. The staff was very careful to ensure those with allergies at our table were accommodated. They were also very attentive and fast. The tacos were absolutely delicious and the salsa tasting appetizer was such a wonderful treat that you don't always come across. Although, they could have included more chips. The presentation of the food and drinks was terrific. They have some pretty incredible margaritas as well. As for the atmosphere, it was as nice as it could be for the Palisades Mall. They had lovely decor and leatherbound menus providing that authentic feel. Overall I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a pleasant dinner in the mall

I can't recommend this place highly enough. My best friend has allergens that can make eating out difficult, awkward, and rarely fun for her, so when we didn't see a lunch menu posted outside this beautiful spot on the top floor, we were planning to move along. The manager overheard us though, called out to us and encouraged us to come back in--not only did he show us a menu, he took the time to have a lengthy conversation with us about how her restrictions could be accommodated, and used food safe language that reassured us that he thoroughly understood, and she could eat her lunch without worries. I felt she was being treated with kindness and attention to detail, which extends to all other aspects of this restaurant as well. We happily sat down, but were skeptical--well, this place IS that amazing. The whole staff was also that kind to us, with the manager returning to our table to oversee our experience. Our drinks were perfectly mixed, the courses were well timed and very fresh, and our tacos were the best we've had; it's hard to believe this kind of dining and care is readily available at the mall, because it topped fine dining experiences we've had. The decor was beautiful, and I could overhear other customers coming in for lunch being treated with the same white glove level customer service. Carlitos alone is worth the drive to Palisades, and I know we'll be back!

I was so impressed. Shawn the bartender was informative and swift. Easy to work, quick, and efficient. The food that I tried was top notch. House pressed tortillas, flavorful drinks, and endless options of tequila. The ambiance is fine, comfortable, and bright. I really look forward to returning to give a more thorough review. I just came here on a whim and I couldn't help to order more than I wanted to. GREAT first impression.

Went for a quick meal before a movie. Satisfied my hunger and didn't leave me feeling like I ate too much either. I ordered the carne asada meal, chimichuri was great and I actually made a little taco with a side order of tortillas. Food wasn't anything ground breaking, but it hit the spot regardless! Our server was super accommodating and very kind. Food came out quick! The music was nice, you could smell the food around and there was a salsa dancing class upstairs! Certainly going to try and come back to tackle a salsa dancing class sometime soon. Enjoyed my meal here!

A Modern Fusion Gem with Unforgettable Flavor! Carlitos Tequileria is a fantastic modern twist on a Mexican restaurant--very clean, upscale-ish, and always buzzing with good energy. The food? Absolutely delicious with generous portions that leave you full and happy. The Loaded Street Fries are to die for--stacked with mouthwatering brisket in every bite! Though listed as an appetizer, they're hearty enough to be a full meal (and that's exactly how I treat them!). Unfortunately, the yucca fries just aren't doing it for me-- too dry as if they'd been sitting under a heat lamp in the kitchen. The birria tacos are some of the best I've had in the area--rich, juicy, and stuffed to perfection. Two of those bad boys were more than enough to satisfy this big guy! Their happy hour drinks are also a win--well-priced and perfect for unwinding. I usually go for a frozen margarita or my favorite, a mojito. That said, I do wish they were a bit stronger--just a tad more alcohol would go a long way for those of us who like a good kick. The vibe is always lively with great music and sometimes even a live DJ, which adds a fun touch. However, my one critique: despite the name Carlitos Tequileria and the excellent Mexican cuisine, I've yet to hear any actual Mexican music during my five Friday and Saturday night visits. Instead, the playlist leans heavily into other Latin genres like salsa and bachata. While I understand from speaking to Ivan, one of the managers, that the fusion theme extends to the music as well, I (and a few other patrons I've spoken to) would love to see traditional or regional Mexican music incorporated into the mix. It would really enhance the cultural experience and match the incredible food. All in all, this is one of my go-to spots. Amazing food, fun atmosphere, and solid drinks. Just a touch more tequila in the mojitos--and a few mariachi or banda tunes--and it'd be pretty close to perfect.

New restaurant at the Palisades Mall. Great service and delicious food. We enjoyed everything that we order. We do recommend and we left thinking that it wont be the first and last time. Decent size restaurant with a giant sport screen at the bar, you can watch the screen from any angle.

A Hidden Gem in the Palisades Mall! Honestly, I was a little skeptical walking up--this particular location has seen a lot of restaurants come and go, so I wasn't expecting much. But once I saw the menu posted outside, I was intrigued... and I'm so glad we gave it a shot! Carlito's Teliqueria absolutely hit the spot. The drinks were crafted perfectly, and the churrasco was on point--juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Huge shoutout to Adriana, our server, who was welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a 5-star service. But the real surprise? The dessert. Hands down one of the best I've had in a while--rich, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. I devoured everything on my plate but had to snap a picture of the dessert before it disappeared! Great vibes, high-quality food, and a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with family. I'll definitely be coming back. This one's a keeper!

Tacos were OK. I had the birria tacos and fish tacos. They were both decent. There are so many tacos places and these were similar to any mexican take out place. Honestly, the tacos across the hallway at Yard House is better. Chicharron weren't crispy enough. Dry aged ribeye did have the dry aged flavor but definitely not Prime as they advertised. Maybe Choice at best. At least the price was on the lower side. Churros were not house made. It was literally the same churros that Dave and Busters had with caramel/chocolate filling.

Rainy days and tacos just make sense together…read more While driving near Nyack, NY, we stumbled across a small hidden gem called El Cuñao Taqueria & Deli tucked away from the busier stretch of Main Street. No frills, no flashy atmosphere -- just comida auténtica and seriously satisfying flavors. I ordered the carne asada nachos and an order of tacos al pastor, and both hit the spot perfectly. Fresh ingredients, bold flavor, and that classic street-style taco taste that instantly lifts your ánimo on a gloomy day. The nachos were loaded, cheesy, and packed with flavor, while the al pastor tacos were simple, fresh, and delicioso. And yes... we washed it all down with a Coke Zero in a glass bottle because somehow it siempre tastes better that way. Now, if you're looking for upbeat energy and polished service, este lugar probably isn't it. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced and lacked motivation. But where the service fell short, the kitchen absolutely delivered with authentic flavors and generous portions. Sometimes the best spots are the quiet little hole-in-the-wall places that let the food do all the talking.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive all the way through to the bar. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of seating options and a great atmosphere. We tried the recommended octopus, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. The sangria was okay, though it wasn't the experience I was hoping for. The empanadas satisfied the craving, and the taquitos with their dipping sauce were definitely one of the highlights. We also ordered a few mixed cocktails and several of them were very good. Where this place really shines is the nightlife. The dance floor had a great vibe, and the DJ absolutely killed it by the end of the night. While the food was a mixed experience for me, I'd definitely come back for the atmosphere, drinks, music and overall nightlife.

The Ambience: The physical space and decor were very nice and well-designed. The Bad: The Gatekeeping vs. The Reality: The restaurant tries hard to pose as a high-caliber, fine-dining establishment--even going so far as to request that guests remove their hats and sunglasses before entering. However, this "elite" illusion was immediately shattered when we were welcomed by a hostess aggressively chewing gum like a cow. If you're going to enforce a strict, upscale dress code, the front-of-house staff should match that level of professionalism. The Vibe Dissonance: While the decor was lovely, the music and the DJ completely clashed with the overall look and feel of the venue. It felt confused about what kind of establishment it wanted to be and loud. The Food & Drinks: Mediocre: The food was just okay, and the drinks were simply alright. Nothing stood out or justified the high-end posturing. The Verdict: It was an interesting experience to try once, but between the mixed signals and average menu, we wouldn't go back.
