I always find myself spending at least a little time at the Coronado Ferry Landing each year. I enjoy the restaurants, stores, and even just sitting near the water reading a book. I am just as content being on my own there, being with my wife, or visiting with a friend at the Coronado Ferry Landing. The Coronado Ferry Landing has many great restaurants. I have enjoyed visiting Peohe's, Il Fornaio, Spiro's Greek Cafe, and Le Parfait Paris each year. In addition, there is Lil' Piggy's Bar-B-Q, Cocina 35 Brunch, Cold Stone Creamery, Coronado Coffee Company, Burger King, and Village Pizzeria. There are also many other restaurants nearby on Orange. There are also some great shops offering everything from designer shades and sandals to boutique fashions and great souvenirs. There's usually a one person staffer who's not really helpful, but leaves you alone and doesn't bother you as you browse through many eye catching wide selection of stuff most probably over priced, but at least you didn't need to fly to Mexico Although Bazaar Del Mundo means Bazaar of the World, most of the contents are of Mexican origin, various regions of Mexico, but still within the country of Mexico. I really liked the potteries in Cancun but it was hard to bring them back. It's so convenient to shop for those here in old town San Diego! The tequila set pottery I chose was so gorgeous! We can't wait to use them to drink tequilas at home! There are restaurants, bars, wine tasting, chocolate tasting and much more besides gift shops. It's easier to spend a couple hours here without even realizing it. We'v always had such fun time here every time we visited! Ps. Public parking across the street, we paid 3 hours for $10.

Perfect for a local neighborhood plaza with grocery store, banks, some simple shopping, few chain eateries, a boba shop, etc. I can invision this plaza glowing up in the next several years as the neighborhood becomes more appreciated in value thru the coming years. What I like the most were the two banks I use literally near/next to each other - convenient to make physical transfers. Basic shopping for food or to grab a bite to eat after simple errands. Call me old, but I appreciate the convenience of everything being close by and all in the same area. Until the next visit...

My number one reason for visiting is the Ace Hardware store!! We needed to change the locks on our front door so we came here. They had the kit available when everyone else was out of stock. We had visited Butcher and Cheese many times and were saddened they had closed its doors. There's a Burlington Coat Factory, Petco, Michael's, Von's grocery store, Bank of America, Five Below, and much more! Overall, a nice shopping center with many options!

This was my first time stopping by Spanish Village Art Center, and I thought it was a fun place to…read morewalk around for a bit if you've never been here before. What stood out to me right away were the colorful tiles covering the ground throughout the village. They make the whole area feel bright and cheerful as you walk around. The place itself isn't very big, but there's quite a bit to look at. I saw a lot of artwork and paintings displayed in the different studios, and some of them were really beautiful. It's easy to spot because of the colorful tiled walkways and the small colorful shops scattered throughout the village. There's also a cute coffee cart tucked in the back with a nice selection of unique drinks. For parking, I noticed there were some spaces near the front, and you can also find parking along the roads nearby. It may take a little looking around depending on when you visit, but I didn't think it was too difficult to find a spot.

It is considered to be #40 on the San Diego Historic Landmark list. It is also on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It was home to George White Marston and his wife Anna Gunn Marston. The family of George and Anna donated the house to the City of San Diego and it was converted into a museum in 1987. We kind of stumbled onto the Marston House. The majority of us wanted to explore other parts of San Diego while we were killing time before our check-in at our Vrbo, but my mother insisted on us staying at Balboa Park after already spending half a day there. We were all tired and ready to go somewhere else, but nobody says No to my Mother. LOL. We decided to wonder down to the George W. Marston House. I will say I'm glad we did. We didn't go inside, but we wandered the grounds. We explored the garden and checked out the different flowers. We took in the architecture of the Marston House. Mom, you were right this time! It was worth the visit! I wish we took a tour inside. Next time!

Marston House was constructed in 1905 for George W. Marston and his wife, Anna Gunn Marston. George Marston is noted for many things but most prominently as a civic leader whose interest and work in historic preservation and conservation. The house is a craftsman style and has been maintained as a museum exhibit for the public. About 45 minutes long and an interesting narration by the tour guide provides historical facts about the Marston family as well as details of the house and gardens. Tickets ($10) for the house tour may be purchased from the gift shop carriage house. Noteworthy house tours open only on weekends! While in the area, my furbaby Fendi and I stroll through the outdoor grounds and rose garden. The collection of roses are spectacular and fragrant. Many seasonal blooming plants to see and appreciate. Recommend.

There's a Marshall's, Petsmart, Walgreens, DMV, McDonald's, Fantastic Sam's, and much more. There's ample shared parking. You may have to park farther away during peak times.
