This is a beautiful open area surrounded by places to dine in fabulous authentic Italian cuisine restaurants and enjoy the little shops in Little Italy. Plenty of seating at the tables throughout the day and nice place to read a book and just enjoy the ambiance. There is also the Italian Catholic Church nearby and you can even take a nice walk in the area too.

This is a very nice small plaza nestled between Frost Me Cafe & Bakery and the Little Italy Food Hall, and the Vivi and Amo building hosting luxury apartments and shops. There plenty of shaded tables with umbrellas and a huge fountain right entrance of Columbia. It's a great place to soak up the local vibe and try some terrific eats by local merchants and specialty shops.

Bottom Line: A lovely pedestrian plaza with some seating and great views down Date Street and out to the bay. What I really appreciate about Piazza Della Famiglia are the views. The plaza has a touch of elevation on it and you can look all the way down Date Street (I think) and see the ships docked in San Diego Bay. On a clear day I imagine this most be a lovely sight because even with the marine layer close by I really enjoyed the views. Adding to the ambiance there is a large fountain and lots of lovely hanging baskets. The piazza has some tables and chairs and its a great place to enjoy a bite from the adjacent food hall or other nearby eateries. This is a quaint spot in downtown San Diego where time seems to slow down.

I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

I will never come back to Fashion Valley Mall again…read more I was very disappointed with my experience. The mall itself has great stores, but what stood out to me was the number of homeless individuals throughout property. As a shopper, I did not feel comfortable walking around the mall. My two young kids were very uncomfortable, I have to move them from the food court and sit and eat elsewhere. For a high-end shopping destination, I expected a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment. Management needs to do a better job maintaining the property and ensuring guests feel comfortable while shopping. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.

There was some foot traffic but since it was a normal work day, it was light and not crowded. There's lots of small tourist like shops in the area and some restaurants like Malibu Farm. They also have lots of wildlife that seems to live in the area around the ponds, mostly birds. I was able to see so many baby ducks! Not too sure about the parking situation since I walked from my hotel, but I really enjoyed the area for a peaceful morning walk.

There were so many people visiting Seaport Village today. We approached from the Embarcadero walkway from the north. As we walked up, there is a sign that welcomes you to Seaport Village overhead. It's always very nice to see that. There are new shops and restaurants that are available. I was amazed at how many restaurants Seaport Village Now has. The Mike Hess Brewing is still there. The fish shop is still there and Mr. Moto's pizza is also still there. However, it was great to see that the shorebird had been remodeled and now is open for business over the water on the right hand side of the walkway. The highlight of our visit was walking by and seeing the Zeta restaurant now open on the walkway with views of the waterfront. Please see my review for the Zytoun restaurant. Please keep in mind that right now. Seaport Village is very, very busy with construction. Most of the businesses are still open however, several of them are in a construction area. The businesses over on the east side of Seaport Village before you get to the Sally's restaurant, are affected by the renovations. Spilled the beans coffee and Mike has tasting room are not affected, but foot traffic is affected. The town Square where they normally have music and entertainment is not affected now they have games somewhat like lawn games available in that square area, but the foot traffic is affected by the construction of the Outer building facing the marina. Ther are so many vendors here now. We actually were able to visit an art gallery, walk over the pond bridge, with ducks and pigeons, peruse through so many cute shops, check out all of the food offerings, and just enjoy the beautiful views of the water at the Embarcadero Marina Park while here. This is a wonderful walk, and with the vendors, and other sites, it ends up being an adventure.

CONVENIENT (4 stars)…read more Clairemont Town Square?! lol. It deserves a yelp review. It has all the basic necessities! Sure, it's just a plaza but a plaza with much potential. Perfect for a local neighborhood plaza with grocery store, banks, some simple shopping, few chain eateries, a boba shop, etc. I can invision this plaza glowing up in the next several years as the neighborhood becomes more appreciated in value thru the coming years. What I like the most were the two banks I use literally near/next to each other - convenient to make physical transfers. Basic shopping for food or to grab a bite to eat after simple errands. Call me old, but I appreciate the convenience of everything being close by and all in the same area. Until the next visit...

My number one reason for visiting is the Ace Hardware store!! We needed to change the locks on our front door so we came here. They had the kit available when everyone else was out of stock. We had visited Butcher and Cheese many times and were saddened they had closed its doors. There's a Burlington Coat Factory, Petco, Michael's, Von's grocery store, Bank of America, Five Below, and much more! Overall, a nice shopping center with many options!

And yes...I had to explore all three! Both markets were bright, clean, and incredibly well organized. One of my favorite sections was the tea aisle. As someone who absolutely loves tea, I was in heaven. Their selection is huge, with everything from loose-leaf teas to powdered varieties that you don't typically find in traditional American grocery stores. I'll definitely be back to stock up on a few new favorites. I originally stopped in to purchase a matcha whisk set, but it was a little more than I wanted to spend. That didn't stop me from finding a few treasures, though! I ended up browsing the cookware section and picked up a beautifully designed set of reusable chopsticks along with beginner-friendly M-shaped training chopsticks. One unexpected highlight was getting to try a hand massage machine. It applies pressure to acupuncture points throughout your hand, and wow--it felt amazing! I'm seriously considering going back just to buy one. The produce section also looked fresh and inviting, so I can definitely see myself returning to shop for groceries. Plus, since my sons love anime, I already know they'll enjoy checking out the merchandise store with all the fun Japanese collectibles and character items. Whether you're looking for authentic Japanese groceries, unique kitchenware, specialty teas, or fun gifts, Tokyo Central & Main is absolutely worth visiting. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by--you'll probably leave with more than you planned, just like I did! And you already know you can always thank me later
