The steak was cooked to perfection at the request of medium well. It was juicy and tender. The A1 sauce completed the entire taste I was looking for. The cheesy broccoli rice wasn't the best, but with a little seasoning it came along. The green beans were surprisingly good. The chocolate pie wasn't tasty at all. My family has been coming to this place ever since I was born. Maybe even before I was born. I love coming to this cafeteria style restaurant especially since there are not many around anymore! Be sure to come for lunch because for some reason, the food is always better at lunch! The workers here are always so kind and generous! I hadn't been to Piccadilly in 15 years or more. I went on field trip with a our students and I'm glad I did. The food was great! I had the shrimp stuff baked fish, cabbage, corn, Mexican cornbread, and a fruit bowl. The fish was sooooo good. It was seasoned and baked to perfection. The stuffing was the best part. The cabbage was a good compliment to the meal. It was good as well. It had a good amount of crisp to it (if you know what I mean). Mexican cornbread was new for me. I enjoyed the spiciness of it, but it was a little to hard for me. Corn is corn, so hey. The fruit bowl was fresh. It has happened again! I waited for curbside pickup for 45 minutes. Two times the person answering the phone hung up on me. I would have gladly left but of course I had already paid. I live close to the Picadilly on Poplar in Memphis. Every few months I try to order to pick up curbside. It would certainly be convenient as I am handicapped. No more! read more

I ordered curbside tonight and I appreciate the service very much. They did not have something I ordered. The assistant Manager Frank quickly came out to apologize and offered for me to wait a few min or substitute. I rarely go to Piccadilly, not for any particular reason other than they are pretty pricey. But today would make me think twice about going back. As I was going through the line, I saw two employees inside the kitchen window, and three outside on the line standing at the window watching one person with a food thermometer in a pan trying to get a reading. Didn't think much of that. Lo and behold, I got to the table and the fish was cold (not room temperature), and the sides didn't have much heat. I told the server, Shirley Ann, that I was fine with sticking it in the microwave. Once I got it back and dug in, the fish was not done. When Shirley saw that I had eaten very little, she graciously took my tray and had them delete the fish from my ticket. You don't see too many cafeterias around anymore, outside of hospitals, that is. But when I was a kid there were several in town, and one in particular that my grandmother loved. Piccadilly reminds me a lot of that place, and of days gone by. I am not much into cafeteria style dining, but every now and then I will stop in this one for a quick lunch. The food is good and you typically make it through the line pretty quickly, even during busy lunch hours. And there is one thing on the menu that I get every single time. It's the Carrot Souffle. This location I was not as impressed as I was with the Mt. Moriah location. The food is good, but sometimes the line staff can sound like they are rushing you or they just overlook you. I've been twice and each time I hear wait staff or the cashiers complain about working or staffing issues. My last visit I wanted red velvet cake thinking I'd get the same experience as the cake I had previously at another location. I was wrong, the cake was dry and hard. I asked for another slice and was told it would be the same way and that they made it this morning. Nope try again! As I was leaving the manager came to offer something else but I declined. He stated he did actually feel the consistency of the cake...this was after I told him to touch the cake I had himself so that he could see I wasn't just trying to get something for free. Very poor service in carry out. I waited for two pieces of Cod fish for 30 minutes and I only got one I also asked for a jalapeño pepper that I paid for and did not receive. No apologies, no utensils given to eat with. And the lady cashier was rude. I will never eat here again. read more
