Found the wood Pizza superior to the famous boardwalk spot and the eggplant parm and chicken Florentine delicious. A new family tradition has just begun. Piccini has amazing pizza. I have enjoyed trying all the different creations on their menu. My favorites have been their BBQ Chicken and the Taco pizza. It can get VERY busy and this speaks to the taste of their food. If you can tolerate a possible wait time, definitely try Piccini for dinner. Excellent dinner!! Very tiny dining area, seems like they do a lot of pizza, sandwiches and probably do a great take out business. We opted for full on dinner. The salads were delicious-very fresh and crisp, the sweet chianti vinaigrette was so good! We ordered an appetizer of cheesy breadsticks, which we kept to finish with dinner. My husband had the lasagna, huge portion and it was really tasty-the gravy (red sauce) was phenomenal. I had the Cioppino (seafood stew) over spaghetti...absolutely loaded with mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp and lump crabmeat, It was AMAZING!! This was the absolute WORST pizza we have ever experienced! Out order took over an hour and a half to come and was this flat, thin, tiny awful excuse for pizza we have ever gotten! Not sure why, but for some reason we always stuck with Pizza when coming here. I don't recall the year (it's been many), but I remember my wife and I being in Ocean City for a visit when Piccini's opened for business. We got a pizza then and have pretty much stuck to picking up a pizza every vacation visit since. This time however we decided to grab a seat, which appeared to be the only 2 open seats in the place, not just that every table was taken, but every seat, along with a few extra chairs, were filled every table. Hmmm, sort of made me realize we were missing something. So I tried the Lasagna and my wife tried the Chicken & Farfalle with Vodka Sauce. The lasagna was loaded with meat and cheeses and was the best that I've had in a restaurant in quite a long time. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her dinner (and lunch the next day) and liked that chicken was fresh tenders rather than a big honking thick (or even pounded) breast. In the end will be back for more dinner experiences in the future, although we may still get a pizza every now and then. read more

The food is only just ok. The outside seating accommodations are not well kept, dirty and smelly. The wait staff are not properly trained and broke several of my commandments... Apparently the grill routinely stops working so they couldn't make the chicken for the Caesar salad we ordered to go with pizza. Here's 3 ideas: 1) get the grill fixed; 2) stop taking grill orders when you know it's not working; or 3) next time instead of making us wait 1.5 hours and handing us cold pizza why don't you just say the grills not working and let us decide if we'd like plain Caesar salads with hot pizza and an hour snd a half of our life back. My last experience at this restaurant was devastating and extremely disappointing. I have been ordering from Piccini's for many years but my most recent take-out order was sub par. My Caesar Salad was half full and of low quality. The Mozzarella Salad had dispersed pieces of lettuce the size of my head. The lettuce was not chopped and other ingredients were evidently not fresh. The food was prepared in a rushed manner. Therefore, I called the restaurant respectively regarding my concerns. I was treated with terrible customer service and the business did not do anything productive to accommodate their mishap. Piccini pizza is AMAZING!!! It's a very well recommended place, even Guy Feiri ate there once! I would die for the hamburger pie. Every time I go there that's what I eat. It's funny how I discovered the pizza. I was going to Piccinis one summer and thought I was just getting a hamburger but about 15-20 minutes later I got a pizza with meat,pickles,onions, and bacon placed in front of me! I come to Ocean City yearly and part of that is trying out new pizza places in the evenings that deliver. Looking at the reviews this place seemed like a good choice. Placed an order ~50 minutes before closing and was told a 45 minute wait. The order actually came a little over an hour after placing it. While normally a long wait doesn't bother me, with pizza it really requires a prompt delivery. Thus bringing me to the review. The pizza itself wasn't greasy, the crust, sauce and cheese were the best I have had on the island. Sadly though it was fairly cold by the time it got delivered. That being said, because the pizza was pretty good I will definitely give it another chance at enjoying it while hot. read more

Very good specialty pizza pies. Their platters are good but the prices are a little high for the pasta portions with seafood. It's understood that prices are inflated in todays economy but I've been to several other restaurants in the area and felt more had better experiences. Puccini's seems to be overconfident that customers will return after the poor quality of the food that they sell. We recently had a margarita pizza that was undercooked and they just dumped tomatoes on top and the pie. There are much better pizza shops and once they are open we will give them our business. Really great! Pizza was fast, fresh, great crust, tasty sauce. Bread sticks came with really tasty marinara sauce. The crab with pomodora sauce was really fresh-tasting, the pasta was perfect, and the portion size borders on family-size. Service was really friendly and efficient too. read more

I love their large list of exotic pies! They have many unique flavors and by offering a smaller 8'' size pie I can use it as an excuse to convince my wife to let us try a couple different flavors in one sitting. Also had a large ceaser salad and cheesy bread (good, like a mini pizza with sauce on the side). Cash only so needs a little planning. But I not being of American origin felt somewhat discriminated by the serving person. She was very stern while taking the order and did not ask if we needed anything more or extra cheese or anything out of courtesy. She just wanted us to eat and get out of the place as soon as we were done. Not sure if it was because of the small place serving many waiting customers or I WAS AN ODD ONE OUT OF THE CROWD HAVING FOOD IN AN ITALIAN restaurant.
