Genuinely enjoyed this place. Was a little nervous because I wasn't sure if they were going to be authentic Italians Lol... our server was super kind. Very patient and Quick. The food came out fast. Extremely hot that it burned my mouth and the big ziti was cooked to perfection with a creamy sauce and lots of ricotta because we asked for that. The environment is giving classic pizza place. The Margherita pizza, chicken parmigiana sub, and mozzarella sticks lacked flavor. Not sure if it's the breading or the sauce but it didn't have that YUM. The Sicilian pizza though was tasty along with the cannoli. Our server was very dry. Probably was busy since we went on a rainy Friday. Bathrooms were clean. Fellow reviews on Yelp led me to Amici's. The location and entrance are a bit unexpected but inside is all business. Great casual atmosphere and friendly staff. You can actually smell the fresh bread baking. This is our second time here. We started with regular slices while we waited for the chicken parm hero. We loved the slices so much that I immediately ordered a Sicilian pie to go. Their sauce is really good on the pizza as well as the pasta. For me it's all about the sauce and the bread. And they execute them both perfectly. Chicken parm hero was also great for exactly same reason in addition to real chicken cutlets. You can see the full cutlet not like some other places that just chop up chicken tenders. Amici's does it the right way. My wife loved the rice ball. Digitally, we travel into Mexico, the Mediterranean, Italy and more. We ultimately set our baggage at the door of one place we desire to explore further. To step through the door is to begin a journey of tempting tastes. We hope... That's when we settled on Amici. The reviews were good. They painted a virtual picture of what we were looking for. WE were in the mood for Italian food. I must admit we've driven Highway 54, or Wesley Chapel Blvd as it's called, for many years. And I can never remember having noticed Amici. Maybe I spotted the building, but it never registered there's a potential Italian hideaway hidden there. No matter. As soon as we walked in, we were happily greeted by several of the crew. Taking a seat, Nick came over and introduced himself. Nick is a really likeable young man. His manner exudes kindness and caring. He started his employ at Amici's doing the dishes. A hard, hot job. But he's in the right place now, making customers feel welcome and giving them a great reason to return. I wish him well in his endeavors. We already knew we wanted to get a pizza, so our menu moments were brief. We ordered The Works Pizza - Large 16 inch. A side salad filled the void in our tummies and the void in time until Nick placed OUR pizza on the bent-wire pizza platform. The first food impression was solidly excellent. Fab One and I both leaned in, and over that pie. Don't you love leaning in like that? Breathing in, to catch the bubbling aromas rising up in those little plumes of steam? This pizza was an Italian Masterpiece. LOTS of ingredients covering the crusty acreage. My favorite was the mushrooms. They were not overcooked shriveled up and burnt fungi. They were still moist, succulent and packed with taste. WE were absolutely raving about this flat food phenomenon! We raved to Nick. And to the couple next to us. And we asked Nick to send word back to the kitchen as well. Kudos! A thoroughly enjoyable meal, with superb service. Best Italian in Wesley Chapel. Staff is super friendly and Restaurant is spacious and has a family joint feel. Service is fairly quick and the food comes out piping hot. The pizza is delicious and the dough is on point. Perfect between crispy and chewy. You have a set list of premade pizzas or you can choose your own toppings. They come in three sizes and a large can feed a family of four. Tried the pasta of the day (seafood in white sauce) and was positively surprised. Good food, great service. Our server Nick was great. Professional, attentive, and explained the menu very well. I started out with garlic knots. They were soft buttery, just the right amount of butter and flavor. Also started with the BBQ maple wings, also very good. Then main courses were chicken piccata, fettuccine with chicken, and a sausage roll. Everything was great and with large portions. The pricing is fair for entrees from $16-20. Came to Amici after being recommended up and down that this was the best pizza place within 20+ miles. After having been here, I'll say it's a decently good place, but, to recommend this purely on this, I'd have to give it a lower score on that alone (but I won't judge it based on that). Walking in I noticed that place was built to support not only the full restaurant, but, to support a great deal of take out (based on the size of their kitchen). The place had a Chicago style decor, and what looked like comfy diner style tables/chairs. The menu was simple enough, and the servers were friendly. The price of food was ok, but, overpriced for the area. I got two pizzas, the vegetarian pizza and the margarita pizza. The margarita pizza used the wrong types of cheeses, and seemed to be a cheese pizza with slightly less sauce (standard cheese). The vegetarian pizza was surprisingly good, crispy, but soft, with more vegetables than I've seen (and very filling). I don't think I'll be back here again, but, it was interesting that everyone's recommending this place. read more

I am so mad! I called Amici pizza for a call ahead order for 2 pizzas so we didn't have to wait when we got there. When we got there, the place was empty! First clue!! The (I think was the owner) came in about 5 minutes! One pizza was hot just out of the oven! The second pizza was cold like it was sitting there for a while!! My husband was furious. I ask him not to make a scene because we were with our grandchildren and I didn't want them upset!! Let me tell you this is the last time we would go there! They should be ashamed! Cheese pizza (excellent and perfectly done, not burned, perfect amount of cheese and sauce) and cheesesteak hoagie, also perfect and crispy not wet or soggy and spaghetti. This place is hit or miss for me. Pizza is really good. Strombolis are okay. Too much bread. The pasta dishes are a no for me. Ordering takeout is the best option because service is slow and inattentive. Our first visit was 5 star because it was their pizza and because it was takeout. I've sat and eaten here on 2 separate occasions: once for dinner and once for lunch (yesterday) and yesterday's service in particular was awful. I was on my lunch break so I only had an hour to eat. I ordered 2 slices and it took 30 minutes and then another 20 minutes for my server to stop chatting with one table to bring me my check and at one point when we needed refills on drinks, she was in the kitchen on her phone. I think I'll stick to ordering ahead and takeout pizza, but hence the drop in ratings. read more

This was our second time at this restaurant, first at this location, I like the new digs! Brightly lit, clean and well staffed. We tend to eat out at off hours so we aren't in contact with as many people as peak dining would bring. However, they would only sit us adjacent to other patrons. I asked to be accommodated elsewhere but the young hostess said only the one section was open. It was an hour to close so I didn't know if I'd be rude to persist bc of cleaning at the end of the day. We opted to stay and eat. Our server was very attentive and had good tableside manner. Food came our hot and quickly. I'd say the food is good but nothing super special. The sauce was a bit watery for my liking and lacked robustness. Excelent portion sizes and you definitely don't leave hungry! All entrees come w a small house salad and garlic bread. I came here after a family friend of mine recommended I try this place. I am glad I came here as this place is not too far from my home. The place is very spacious inside and I was tols to sit anywhere I like and someone would be over to help me. The waitress made my first experience here well worth it as she was very attentive and she continued to check on me. I just ordered a Mich Ultra, plain slice (requested well done) and an order of garlic knots. Everything was so fresh and made to order, the slice was better than I thought it would be. Good cheese to sauce ratio and zero flop on the slice since I requested to have it well done. I would say this might be my go to pizzeria that is local to me in the Wesley Chapel area. read more

The perfect mom and pop Italian flavor I was craving. The bread loafs.... OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Took me back to my childhood growing up in PR eating Pan de Agua. The chicken parm and tortellini Alfredo were very good. The star of the show will be the garlic bread rolls hands down. Thank you to the waitress with the cute black bangs and bow in her hair. My family just walked into this place to try it out for the first time on Saturday night at 630 pm. The restaurant had literally 50% of the tables empty and no one waiting. Yet the hostess tells us it's a 30 minute wait. We walked out and will not be returning again. I love the vibe here. The place is family friendly and and the restaurant was packed and lively. And even with the amount of people in the establishment the food came in a timely manner. The bread was absolutely delicious, and even with my actual meal coming, I couldn't resist the temptation of the slice of bread. The salad was good too and I enjoyed reading the extensive menu. The pizza was bigger than I expected and had more of a softness to it - I, myself, am more of a thin crust person but found the pizza enjoyable. Today I went to this place after two years and the truth is it was horrible the person who served me did not pay attention to my order I asked for two portions of pizza she brought me one and she did not remember the other later when I told her she brought me something that I did not order I didn't say anything.
