    Burned Cuban
    Susann O.

I was quite excited to try this place because the food pictures on Yelp looked good and it has good reviews. I ordered a Cuban sandwich which comes with fries and a smash burger from the kids menu for our son. I got a burned Cuban, not a regular style as it had red sauce on it rather than mustard. It was ok. My son didn't want the burger and ate some of the Cuban. The burger was dry and the bread seemed dry and hard in some parts. The French fries looked homemade which I super appreciate. They did taste very dry especially inside. The Cuban was ok, the flavor was ok, but the burned bread really wasn't great. Service was nice and friendly, and I liked the tables with booth type sitting, it was comfortable. I would give it another shot maybe for dinner time as we came mid afternoon. I hope next time I can report a better update.

Great food and amazing service. Definitely our favorite local place. Would highly recommend this place

South shore bar style pizza was delicious along with a few beverages! Highly recommend !

Salmon...This is a scratch kitchen so you get it exactly how you want. This without the terraki glaze sauce, which is a above in a cup.

Great local gem with great service, excellent wines and delectable dishes. Have tried them twice and both times were excellent. Ambiance: this is a small sized restaurant. Long bar with seating and two large TVs playing sports. Last visit one set had teleprompter, which was helpful since they have sound turned off. The TVs can be seen in the dining room too. Latest visit I had one of their specials not normally on the menu, chicken parm with a nice amount of pasta. It was good and filling. Chicken was done just right. Also split a Morris Bridge Salad with honey mustard. Perfect appetizer. Service is always good. They use a team effort to take care of patrons. Drinks are always refilled.

This place is such a cute little gem! This was my first time trying their dinner and it did not disappoint. I had the smash burger and it was amazing - seasoned so well and very filling. It was also recommended by the server as a popular item. The crème brûlée was good as well. I've also had their espresso martinis before and they are delicious. The staff is very nice as well!

It was very warm in the restaurant, with no air flow. Also had a strong scent of fabuloso cleaner or something similar. Our food was okay, but unfortunately the shrimp scampi was way too salty. Not worth the price, we won't be back.

I'm sad to report that after two consecutive visits I've left disappointed with the Pizza. This place used to have the absolute best bar pizza I've ever had lately, the pizza hasn't been as thin and doesn't get the crispy. Lacey edges the way it normally should. With that being said Jason did a fantastic job taking care of us and the other food was good except that they changed the Mozambique shrimp recipe (still good ) They recently have made some menu changes and some of the offerings from before like the chicken and broccoli are no longer available. I hope they get the pizza right, it seems like they may have lost their pizza chef.

For example they offer three different kinds of vodka with Tito's being one of them. It's on the fourth floor of the hotel with a view of the western sky for sunsets along with the sports fields. We kiddingly said parents could sit up here with alcohol in hand and cheer on their kids way below on the field. Seating: inside they have bar seating with about seven chairs. There is a single TV at the far left of the bar (see pic), so this is not ideal to watch sports on TV. No sound or closed caption. Outside it is just plain hot this time of year until the sun goes down. They have fans but for some reason they weren't on and the temp was 95. There were a couple people sitting outside but they didn't last long. Around sunset I'm sure this is the place to be. There are multiple sofas and areas to sit outside. Also a large Jenga stacking block game is available to play. There are at least two larger TVs outside. The parking lot indicates parking should be paid for. There are numerous signs with giant QR codes to do this. Since we were only there for an hour to grab a single drink we didn't pay for parking. When there are large tournaments going on at the neighboring sports complex I'm sure the hotel does a better job at patrolling who parks at the hotel and maybe then expects parking to be paid for. Drinks: happy hour is from 5p (when they open) to 7p. There is no happy hour menu (this would be a suggestion to make things easier on both the bartender and the customer). We were there at happy hour so took advantage of $8 white sangria and $8 cranberry with house vodka. They also give 10% off to locals. They normally have cards they provide for future use, but the bartender indicated they ran out and were on order. Food: There is a few food choices, including a smash burger and appetizers. They also had a couple cake slices on special. We didn't eat so can't speak to quality or time before ready. Service was average. There was only one bartender at 5:30p on a Wednesday with no sports going on at the complex. We got our drinks fairly quickly. They were tasty but served in small cocktail glasses and not much alcohol. For happy hour discounted pricing this is commonplace. I will be back to try it again, hopefully for a sunset this time!

The restaurant was impeccably clean, warm, inviting, and carried the kind of genuine Italian charm that immediately makes you feel welcome. The service was simply exceptional- attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish tasted fresh, authentic, and thoughtfully prepared, showcasing flavors that transported us straight to Italy. What truly elevated the afternoon, however, was the chef personally coming to our table to discuss the menu, ingredients, and inspirations behind the dishes. That level of hospitality and pride in the food transformed a great dinner into an unforgettable experience. In a city filled with dining options, it's rare to find a place that excels in every category--food, service, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality but this restaurant accomplishes exactly that. Tampa locals who appreciate authentic Italian cuisine owe it to themselves to visit. Whether you're planning a date night, family dinner, or simply craving a truly remarkable meal, this place should be at the top of your list. Hidden gem? Absolutely. Worth the visit? I've…read morebeen coming to this location for years, and I've always considered Fresh Kitchen one of the better bowl-food chains out there. The menu has plenty of fresh, flavorful options for vegans and meat-eaters alike, so unfortunately, today's experience was especially disappointing. I ordered a Six Bowl loaded with vegetables and spiced chickpeas. I sat down, took a look at my food, and noticed a small hair in the bowl. Normally, I'm fairly nonchalant about things like this, but as a pregnant customer, it immediately grossed me out. I let a team member know, expecting the concern to be handled with a little care and understanding. Instead, the manager came over, took the bowl, and--after I had already pointed out exactly where the hair was--stuck his finger into the food to look for it. He then removed something and placed it onto a napkin, only to tell me that he couldn't find the hair. The problem? I could literally see it on the napkin. At that point, it wasn't even about getting another bowl. He did offer to remake the food, which I appreciated, but the interaction left a really unpleasant impression. I felt as though my concern wasn't being taken seriously and, frankly, as though I wasn't believed. Fresh Kitchen promotes itself as being committed to providing healthy, fresh food, and that's exactly why food-safety concerns should be handled promptly and professionally--regardless of how small the issue may appear. If I'm spending nearly $17 on a bowl of vegetables, finding a hair or eyelash in it is not something I should have to debate or defend. The food itself? Still delicious. That's what makes this even more frustrating. I genuinely enjoy Fresh Kitchen and have supported this location for years. But great food can only carry an experience so far. Management matters. Customer service matters. And how you respond when something goes wrong matters even more. I originally planned to dine in, but after the interaction, I decided to take my replacement bowl to-go. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this location. Fresh Kitchen: 10/10 for the food. Management's handling of my food-safety concern today: a very disappointing 0/10. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because I would much rather be writing a glowing review about how much I enjoyed my bowl than explaining why I left feeling uncomfortable and unheard.
