stopped by piccolo to get my afternoon coffee fix. ordered the vietnamese coffee. service was cool and cute cafe. a fee seating options inside loved the cream top although, the viet coffee was not as strong as i thought it would be. they charge for pup cups. :( parking: no issues.

The strawberry matcha was delicious! Yum. The decor is just really cute. The staff was nice too! I liked the place overall.

Piccolo Coffee *March 7th, 2026 *9am- Saturday *3 Stars Environment: *Large Parking Lot *Outdoor and Indoor Seating *Small and Dirty Interior Food/Drink: *Iced Double Matcha (Less Sweet, Oat Milk) *Iced Belgium Mocha (Oat Milk) Stopped by this morning after doing some grocery shopping. I appreciated that the plaza was large with plenty of parking spaces. The drinks were pretty good overall, though they do lean on the sweeter side. I ordered the Iced Belgium Mocha and Iced Double Matcha with less sweetness, which helped, but it was still a little sweet for my taste. The matcha itself was also on the smaller side for the price and cost me an additional $0.75 charge for an alternative milk substitute, it felt a bit pricey for the portion size. The atmosphere inside wasn't quite what I expected for a cafe in Brea. The interior felt a bit small and a little dirty, and I could see it becoming difficult to move around if it got more crowded. The walkway to order drinks is also the same path staff members use to access the back, which only leaves enough space for one person at a time. Overall, the drinks were prettysolid, but the space itself could use an update.

Finally made it back here and tried the pistachio rose latte. It was very floral which I don't mind but I did not taste much pistachio flavor at all which was kinda disappointing. I think a pistachio cold foam would probably be better than combining both flavors since the rose is so much more overpowering. Service was decent.

Walked in Sunday afternoon and it was empty. This seems like a good spot to study alone, tables were little small. We came to try their matcha. I got the double and my fiance the strawberry. The matcha will do in a pinch. It was around $7.50 each. The quality of the matcha was not the greatest more gritty and bitter, leaving a powdery covering over your tongue. The puree is delicious. Their coffee did look good will prob try that the next time (:

I ordered a Matcha CreamTop Latte and Raspberry Cruffin. The raspberry cruffin was incredible, so good! The matcha latte left something to be desired, and I expected it to be sweeter considering it was Einspanner-style. I worked from this cafe for a few hours and found it a great place to work! It wasn't too noisy, and the wifi worked perfectly fine. They have seating, but it is limited, so get there around opening if you need guaranteed seating!

Great cream top matcha and latte!! We also tried one of their holiday season drinks peppermint mocha and it wasn't as tasty as their cream top drinks. Would definitely return for their cream top matcha and latte!

Vietnamese coffee - strong and sweet just how I like it. Kouign-amann - Deeeelicious sweet passion fruit croissant. Lox Bagel very tasty and 1st I had it with a spritz of lemon which made it taste even better. Very fresh as well as the everything bagel. Light and airy.

Small quaint and clean coffee shop located adjacent to Target in Brea. Having found Piccolo from Yelp- we decided to stop in and try some of their tasty bagel and coffee offerings. The lox and avocado bagels were delicious and we enjoyed the matcha latte as well. Super friendly service too. Would recommend Piccolo for your local bagel/brunch and coffee needs!

    Pistachio Rose Latte

This coffee spot is hidden in the corner of the Target plaza. I ordered the Pistachio Rose latte but it didn't have any hint of pistachio taste. Each sip of mine was filled with rose petals. It was just ok, tasted more of the cardamom overall.

We got to give this place another try on our way to Disney and I wanna say my second time here was definitely 10/10. The spiced Carmel omg it's so different but so delicious it has like this kinda Asian taste idk I can't describe the spice lol. Also they had a lot more customers and seems like they have people loving the bagels & pastries. When I'm craving that spiced carmel again I'll definitely come back!

Seems like Communitea Coffee has cracked the code to what I-- at least-- am wanting from a coffee…read moreshop, starting with matcha. I got the earl grey matcha which are two of my favorite flavors it was of course delicious. Food: They had just rolled out a new menu that includes a slice of sourdough bread and butter for 5$. I'm really working on cutting out the sweet treats (which they have plenty of) so it was perfect for me. They also have wholesome foods such as breakfast sandwiches and burritos which-- if I didn't have dinner plans after my study session-- is always appreciated as too often the food at coffee shops are sugary pastries and a bunch of empty calories. Service was friendly and personable. Communitea shows its dedication to being a warm, welcoming third-space environment. There is a shelf filled with board games and a kids play area (if you have one of those). They have assorted merchandise like coffee beans, plants, mugs, chips & snacks, etc.. There were flyers for all types of events throughout the month. I don't often write reviews I don't even live anywhere near Brea, but I would love to see this business thrive if not expand.

Omg! I just moved to the North OC area, and I'm happy to say I've found one of my new go-to coffee…read moreshop study spots in the area! :) I'm currently studying for a big exam, and it's been surprisingly challenging finding coffee shops to study at with the beautiful, modern, aesthetic ambience that makes me happy, without feeling anxious there won't be enough seats or space when I get there, esp since I have to drive a decent amount to get to cafes. I've been getting a little stir crazy at home and finally making the trek here was so worth it-- I felt more motivated than ever to get work done with a tasty treat. I'm not sure if it's because CSUF just started this week, or because I came on a Friday morning, but it was really spacious and open with tons of outlets (almost at each table). Not sure how other days are, but I'd love to bring my study group friends here in the future, since it's so hard to find places with enough space for study groups! Not to mention the clean bathroom haha and good wifi haha The staff here is also incredibly sweet and friendly, making it a comfortable and good experience. Because it was my first time, I asked the barista about her recommendation, and she also asked my general preferences to cater to my taste, and I ended up with a seasonal Birthday Cake Americano at half sweetness (since I don't have much of a sweet tooth). It was perfect for me! I don't usually get Americanos and have a sensitive stomach rn, but it was delicious and kind on my stomach lol. I also got a ham and cheese croissant, and maybe it could've been heated up a little more, but I did wait a bit to eat it, so it was no big deal. The other barista was also so sweet in answering my many questions haha The only struggle as others have mentioned is the parking - I ended up parking at the retail parking nearby, which had plenty of spots but can get pretty pricey, and it sounds like you can park in the areas others have mentioned still (like The Hub I guess has "New Here" parking spots or the employee parking spots?), so I'll need to look more next time. But there's quite a bit around the area within walking distance, you can easily make a day out of it too. Also since it is at the first floor of an apartment in a college town, there will be students going in and out, so just be prepared for that haha -- reminded me of dorm days, and I'm glad students have a spot like this :) Overall, the yummy coffee, amazing vibe and beautiful ambiance, especially as a study spot, alongside the kind and comfortable service has been just what I've been looking for in a coffee shop around here, and I'm excited to return! Thank you New Here!

Vanilla Thesis is the best better than probably all the rest…read moreThe coffee is so tasty Not nasty or pasty Their cheese and ham croissant is also bomb better than being made by mom One thing to note about this place, the parking sucks. But fear not, you can go into the structure, park in one of the "employee only" spots, and just tell them which spot and you're golden (wish I knew that before I came and parked across the street). Also, another reason why this place is great is that it's not full at all. Might be because of the parking situation, but the place is near empty which makes it have a nice luxury vibe. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.

The drink is super smooth and creamy with really strong jasmine and oolong flavors. And the brown sugar mochi jelly??? Boba WHO? It's soft, chewy, and honestly so much better than boba. The best part is that you can even save your drink for the next day and the mochi jelly stays soft instead of getting hard like boba does. I cannot recommend this specific order enough. There's a reason Torotea has expanded so much! I'm not the biggest fan of the Diamond Bar location purely because of the line, so I'd recommend trying one of their other locations if you don't want to wait as long. You can also order online on weekdays to avoid the line, but there is a small online fee. Also shoutout to whoever designed their shops because they absolutely killed the boho vibes. Super cute inside and the perfect place to wait for your drink. There isn't much of a seating area to chat given the line and large volume of traffic. Overall, as I can't emphasize any further, JASMINE OOLING WITH MOCHI JELLY.
