I was a regular with my partner at Piccolo Piatti/Pomona however these last 4 times we have went the service, food quality, and level of service has greatly diminished to the point where I can no longer recommend going here. My order has routinely been incorrect, whether it be the completely wrong thing or something as simple as a requested hot coffee being made iced. While I can pass an incorrect order off in most situations as a mistake, the fact that this has happened to me on the last four occasions is a clear sign of poor service. Couple this with waiting an extended time just to receive the check only further leads to an irritating experience. The food here, as everything else, has continued to drop in quality. Coupled with items regularly missing elements listed on the menu or just not being available entirely. Atmosphere is nice but does not make up for the rest of the dining experience. I want to like this place, I've enjoyed dining here in the past but unless significant changes are made I will not be coming back read more

The saltimbocca reminded me of something you would receive while in a hospital . The rest of the food was mediocre and not worth a return visit even if they had tried to make good on the fact they delivered two pasta dishes instead of the three we ordered. Our first experience here was via a grub hub order. We ordered three pasta dishes. The receipt shows three different orders; 2 fettuccine and one ziti dish. The order arrived and only two of the dishes came with pasta. We called and were told one of the dishes is an appetizer with no pasta but we were given the option to order it as an entree with pasta- hence the "fettuccine, fettuccine, ziti" on the receipt. The person who answered the phone, Emilio, said he would give us the pasta as a courtesy but we would have to go pick it up. There is a reason we ordered delivery, we are unable to pick up at this time. Emilio did not care. I had dined regularly at the Antique Table, probably for a good seven years, when the two Lisa's waitressed there. I introduced and treated many of my business clients and friends to gift certificates that would average $1200 to $1400 each year. The last time that I dined there was on my birthday when my daughter got food poisoning. While I told Tatiana about this incident, I never received a "promised" phone call from the owner..... Well, last night I arrived home late from work and I chose to order an eggplant parmesan sub from Piccolo Piatti. After I took home the $17 sandwich and took two bites, I opened both halves of the sub roll to find two razor thin slices of eggplant. The sandwich was all bread hidden by tomato sauce and served with a large portion of fries. It was the worst eggplant sandwich that I have had in my entire life. If I wasn't so tired and hungry, I would have walked down to the Piccolo and handed the terrible sandwich back to Staff who had prepared it. We live nearby and have been faithfully ordering from Piccolo. I have dietary restrictions and asked for a chicken pesto tórtolo i meal to have the chicken on the side so my husband can have the chicken apart. We are always given a hard time for this request, which I find strange, as it only requires it to be put in another container. Last night we ordered again and were told we can no longer order this way. We also noticed that their portions have dropped significantly, and pasta dishes are appetizer sized at best. My husband and I finished our meals and were still hungry. I know business are hurting right now and I can maybe understand why portions are getting smaller, as businesses try to survive, however, their food quality and service has much to be desired. Worth the visit for some unbelievable pasta for takeout! I can't wait until Antique Table restaurant opens back up to experience more of the mouthwatering pasta on their menu. I had heard great things about the food, and was particularly excited smelling all the delicious flavors when I walked inside the storefront to pick up my order. It was so hard to pick what to order because I would try everything on the menu, but I made an excellent choice to go with the Fettucini Carbonara. The pasta is all very reasonably priced, especially compared to dishes in the North End. It is a bit on the smaller side so I was still a little hungry after my meal, but the Alfredo sauce with prosciutto was absolutely divine and well worth the price. read more

Subs are great but The salad game is weak! Asked to remove goat cheese and add chicken to a salad order and was charged $5 extra. The order came out $3+ more than the other salad on the menu with chicken. It was the day after Christmas, Jac's was closed, and I was thrilled to see that Piccolo Piatti was open. Not only that, they have a tempting-looking breakfast menu. It was clear from when I entered that the one server on duty was quite overwhelmed. The place was understaffed. It was nice, though, that the young man was super-pleasant and doing his job with a smile on his face. It was nearly twenty minutes before my order for eggs benedict was taken. It was another twenty before my drink, a green goddess juice, appeared, and then another twenty before I received my breakfast order. But he seemed to be doing everything but the cooking by himself. During that time, I noticed a two customers at a four-top sending back two coffees, saying it was watery. Unfortunately, during this time also, the restaurant grew notably colder; having put on both my wool sweater and my poly hoodie, I finally moved locations and placed my winter coat to buffer the chilly yellow seat I was on. I asked for the heat to be turned up, but no go. More unfortunately, when my breakfast arrived, it was cold. Having already waited so long, I decided I wanted a good breakfast, and sent it back. Maybe the one part of all this I truly didn't expect was for the heated-up meal to take another 15 minutes! I would say the bennie with salmon would have been quite yummy had it been (still) hotter. Here are my notes to this place: a) Heat your restaurant. b) Heat your plates. The reason the food is getting cold is that the restaurant is cold and the plates are icy. c) toast the English muffin for the bennie. d) hire more servers. If you told me that the staffing level that morning was not because someone was out, I would say there is no hope for this place. Presumably, someone was out. e) In the green goddess juice, switch the orange juice for apple. f) The name should be piccoli piatti, not piccolo piatti. Not for nothing, but this meal should have been comped. Meanwhile, let's hope Jac's wraps up their holiday break and reopens soon! read more

I live in Quincy and I work from home occasionally. I wanted to try something different for lunch and saw that Poccolo Piatti was an option. So I ordered the Shrimp Veggie Wrap with fries and the Veggie slice on focaccia bread. 1) Ubereats doesn't always make it clear of the location of the selected restaurant. I was very surprised to find that this restaurant was in Winthrop (which was a super long drive for the poor ubereats driver). If you're super hungry and you live in Quincy, this may not be the option for you. But 2) the food was alright. The "slice" was HUGE. That slice plus the fries in the side of the wrap made me very full I would maybe recommend the Veggie & pesto slice if you were at that restaurant already. But based on these items, I don't think I would revisit. The shrimp burrito was also huge but the flavors did not go well together. The sauce also leaked through the pita before I got a chance to eat it so it was soggy. Overall it was just an okay experience. Please don't let my experience deter you! Just sharing my experience. Our first visit here this week on a birthday outing for my mum. They have tables outside with umbrellas, you can also eat indoors and also take out. Affiliated I believe with the Antique Table--European inspired cafe with panini sandwiches as well as sub and wrap options, salads and lunch entrees of pasta as well. My mom and Aunty shared gnocchi which were light and delicious and a house salad, I had the panini Caprese which was delectable. The sandwiches also come with fries (crispy light spice no need for ketchup). Kelly was lovely and brought out the chef to meet us and a gratis piece of tiramisu for our little birthday celebration. We enjoy coming here. The servers are really nice, the food is tasty and reasonably priced, and the ambience has a European/Latin American feel to it. The only complaint, if you order two or more waffles at once, expect one or two to be served on the colder side, they must not have more that one waffle maker. I'm torn over leaving 4 stars. we love their food and have consistently received high quality meals over many orders. The problem is that we have every time had an item omitted, a mistake in an order, and not discovered it until returning home with the take out. it's almost funny at this point, as it has happened so many times. There is really no solution either, as the counter is small and difficult to unpack to verify, we have tried reading it twice over the phone to confirm and confirming the order with counter help at pick up, but the food is still so darned good we'll keep ordering and i guess try to look at it as a surprise though it's disappointing when the surprise means someone isn't able to enjoy a meal due to an allergy which predicated a request which was forgotten. read more
