What I meant to say was that I very consistently have ordered almost everything from this menu, and most recently, I had a friend over who was dying for some steak tips. I almost always order the Ricotta and spinach pizza, sometimes with onions, sometimes without. It's excellent. But this night, my friend was dying for steak tips. So Jim, who is not just a cook, but I believe him to be a five-star chef, after I tasted his amazingly tender, marinated, melt-in-your-mouth, medium-rare steak tips. Woody's Pizza...... I had to Try it because people either give it 5 stars or minimal Stars and I wanted to know which side was telling the truth. Sadly I guess you have to order pickup to get that 5 star service because we were delivered Sub Par food. When you are located next to a blue line stop and such a foot traffic heavy hub as orient heights, I guess it gets so busy that every other order gets zero cares given. Definitely not worth the price My chicken finger dinner came with 3 pieces of boneless chicken that was smashed to shit breaded with crumby knock off shake & bake and overcooked so much and so dry that eating one bite gave me the hiccups. The salad that came with it scrap pieces of bitter romaine hearts, mush tomatoes, cucumbers that had inconsistency some were slices, some were chunks, some had peels, some didn't. And black olive slices that tasted like nothing. Delivery was late, Called the place and the lady on the other side of the inquiry phone call was rude to my wife... likely burnt out from working for such a busy place. But not to worry lady. We ordered a pizza, more sticks and quesadilla online. Slice updated us that the delivery went out (it's less than 3 miles away) so after 20 min we called and were informed that it would be here any minute... we'll any minute meant another 30 min. Almost an hour after it was marked out for delivery, a woman called and noted that the food was here and some guy handed it off (seems like some sort of work around). Well the food felt and tasted like it left the shop 50+ minutes before. We reached out to the app company and they reached out to them and they said the owner was out till tomorrow and that we would get a call back... Took another day and the owner told the app company that they were not going to do anything and essentially pound sand. As far as the food- the pizza was actually pretty good (even cold), but it was too garlicky for me, but my so liked it so that's a taste thing. The more sticks were greasy and the sauce was mostly water. Didn't even try the quesadilla as it was so cold and they didn't send any sour cream (pretty sure it was pictured). read more

Woody's us the home of the BIG SLICE. which in reality is 1/4 of a pizza. So yes it is a big slice and priced at $2.95 per slice it's a pretty darn good value too. They also make sandwiches, subs, calzone, quesadillas, pasta dishes, burritos, salads and a bunch of appetizers. There are about a 1/2 dozen tables and a tv, but it is really low key. Take out is available. Parking is basically where ever you can score a spot. The pizza parlor is located diagonally across from Orient Heights MBTA station. read more

Well I would love to thank the staff in the pizza shop for getting my order to us an hour and 1/2 passed the time given for delivery. I called back and complained, but when talking to the "manager" I got the excuse well I just got here after your order was sent out, like this should be any excuse at all! Our food arrived cold, and the whole hour and 1/2, I had 5 kids wanting to know when dinner was coming. Suggest highly you avoid buying anything from the pizza shop, as the care you get is like getting that middle finger at ya when your a child fighting silly games in the school yard. Pizza next to a liquor store might seem like 2am food, but it turned out to be pretty good. We just went for the large cheese pizza which was a little over $10. How can you beat that in Boston? So after a day at the park we were craving some food but didn't want to go home and cook, so we walked down the street and had passed Woodys a bunch of times. They're fast, everything is cooked fresh and it's a family owned place. They have plenty of different items on their menu and of course during COVID they are only doing take out for the time being. It's really close to Constitution beach, so after a long day of being in the sun it's a good way to get some grub. This isn't a gourmet pizza place, but it's really good for the price. I just ordered a cheese pizza and a steak dinner. I asked for well done as in no pink in my steak. As you can see from pictures it's not just pick but raw. When I called to complain they stated that they were sorry and would make it better. Half an hour later they arrived with a small portion of burned steak. I did not touch it. if they could be that upset that I called and stated I'm pregnant and puking my brains out. They could've easily spit in the new burned steak. Needless to say I will not be ordering from there ever again as my sister told me about the place. That behavior was unacceptable and that of a immature chef! I stopped by this place on my way back to the hotel. I wanted a salad after eating such a heavy lunch in Concord. I was not expecting much since it looks like a little outdated. I am from SoCal so sometimes I judge the book by it cover, in this case all I wanted was a salad and I was sick of driving around trying to find parking and all that. This part of town has a little bit of traffic at rush hour. I ordered a Cesar Chicken Salad. It was off the hook delicious. The dressing tasted homemade. Not sure if it was but it was dang tasty. So much fresh chicken on the salad, a great value at 10.50. High end restaurants do not put this much chicken on their salads. The garlic bread it came with was very good also. Over all a person looking for some tasty fresh made salads should try this place. If the salads are this good I bet the pizza is tasty as well. The young man was polite and the music was good inside the restaurant also. The locals were there and they are friends with owner or another worker with tatted arms. First of all I do want to say that I understand that today was a busy night. However my delivery was on the way at 9:07 and it arrived at 9:45. The delivery guy was asking for money and I let him know that I had already paid for the pizza. He proceeded to call the restaurant to confirm that I had pay. It was a 5 minute back and forth until he decided that he was going to leave the pizza. The delivery guy was incoherent, reeked of alcohol and could not stand up straight. I'm not sure what was going on with him but this was not the best order/delivery from woodys. I've ordered pizza delivery from Woody's a few times now, and I've never been disappointed. The crust is pretty thin, and they do a good job with the toppings. The wings are also very good, if you like a breaded wing - not my preference, but they were very tasty. Prices are reasonable, comparable to other take out places. The only area I think could be improved is in the delivery time. I've placed orders during what I would think are not prime hours, and it is a good hour before delivery. The East Boston Woody's is next to a liquor store with the same name and behind the Orient Heights train station. They have a large slice of pizza ( essentially two slices together) for $2.50 for the price the quality is good. For a pizza place next to a liquor store it will meet your expectations.
