A solid spot in Burbank with great customer service and food/drinks. Today I bought the peanut butter protein shake, which came out to $15.38 total. The owner, Roger, kindly offered to add spinach into the shake at no extra cost. He also gave me a sample of a new soft serve dessert and conversed with me for a bit. The shake was well balanced, not gritty from the protein, and a great thickness. The gentleman working there was so nice! He suggested a peanut butter smoothie add spinach. While we waited he gave us a sample of his charcoal and mango ice cream. Super delicious. After he made the smoothie he put the extra in a cup so we can taste it to make sure we liked it or he can remake something else. Of course it was delicious! Amazing service he went above and beyond! I popped over to Pick & Mix after some random shopping in the area recently, as I was craving something fresh and healthy - my green smoothie acai bowl easily met, if not surpassed, my expectations (which can be pretty high for acai bowls). First of all, what I really liked, is that the base is more smoothie-like, and made with blended fruit (I think you can add protein too), and it's not just super sugary acai sorbet but rather freshly blended fruit and veggies (kale/spinach for mine - didn't alter the flavor at all). Topped up with a ton of fruit and seeds, I was super full afterwards. Strawberries in particular were very sweet and juicy. I'm sorry but this was not what I expected when you hear or think of fruit smoothie. If you're expecting something like a Jamba juice type of smoothie, this is not like that. The juice comes out of some pre-made (maybe even store bought) juice and added ice. For the non specialty smoothie is $12! I would pay that for fresh fruit, not premade juice. And the other smoothies are $14 and up. Sorry, not worth it for me. I'll probably go back and try their food, or acai bowls because the service was nice. Parking is pretty limited due to other businesses having designated parking spots. Answering to your response below: Hi Roger, please tell me how I saw the lady open up a jug of juice and she even told me it was juice that clearly looked pre-made and call it fresh fruit? Their smoothies are consistently delicious -- and I just found out they're free from added sugars, which is miraculous because they're so tasty! Amazing neighborhood juicery, smoothie and acai bowl spot... the service is always amazing and extremely polite and genuine... the menu is massive in terms of blended variety and 5he fruit and vegetables stay fresh. They have a few small tables inside for eating, instagram/photo ops and all your social media and quick unwind needs. They have a rewards system for earning great deals, so you can eventually try it all and while parking it limited there is usually plenty of street parking and/or a short walk from the town center area. This place was a nice find! Tucked in a small parking complex. They have their own parking spot so, you'll always find a place to park if that's a concern. Inside, they have a ton of juicers, fruit, and fresh greens to cut up and squeeze. I got a smoothie and shot of wheatgrass. I watched them cut and squeeze my fresh juice... Great smoothies using REAL fruit!! Finding a smoothie place that uses only real fruit and doesn't load up the entire smoothie with ice all while being at a reasonable price is hard - I'm so happy that I found this spot. They have a huge menu which I've tried a few things from, and they also have the option to create your own smoothie with their huge variety of fresh and frozen fruit and veggies which I love!! I live down the street from this place and always drive by, so I finally decided to try it. The place was empty upon walking in and we were greeted by the older gentleman, but he didn't seem too thrilled about having to make our smoothies. The smoothie I got was pretty good and had fruit toppings. It was the açaí smoothie and it tasted fresh and fruity. It also had a nice presentation with the fruit topping, which I appreciated. I would have given 5 stars if the service was friendly and welcoming. Decent smoothies though! read more

My Aqua shot was a beautiful dark teal color with an apple slice on top in this super cool skull glass. I initially sipped it but then I went for it and threw it down. I actually really liked it with the added ginger because it woke me up and made me feel extra healthy. On my way home I sipped on the Tropics Smoothie. I would say my first taste I think I still had Aqua shot taste in my mouth so initially the smoothie tasted extremely earthy to me. However with each additional sip, the smoothie got sweeter and by the time I finished it was pretty delicious. They have so many other things to choose from including some pre-bottled juices and waters. Then when she came back she forgot and just said "they dnt sell um anymore" She seemed disconnected and so unsure. A waiter should know the menu & what is discontinued. Or at the least find out and return quickly with the info, not take long and come back having forgot to even find out. But ok, no problem we just got our drinks and the café de Olla was good. The food arrived and the rice stood out more than the Chilaquiles. The pancakes were small for the price & didnt have much flavor, once the toppings were gone the pancakes were bland. Came here becus I saw comments online, but I dont think I'd go back, there are many other places with outstanding food & service. The Mexican rice & Café de olla were the standouts of the meal. If you live nearby I could see this being a good place to enjoy a meal, but to come in from farther out isn't worth the drive.

This place has the BEST juices and acai bowls!! I really love this place - their products are delicious, and really really fresh. It's a family owned and run business so I love supporting them! The only downside to this place is that sometimes they will get a little overwhelmed and you can end up waiting a LOOOOONG time before getting what you ordered. Even when you order online and they give you an ETA of when it'll be ready, there have been times where I have been about 10 minutes late from the ETA time, and still ended up waiting like another 20 minutes before getting my order. So that part sucks, I wish they had more employees cause it's something that could easily be fixed if it wasn't just the dad or mother trying to do it all and only being able to do it one order at a time. But, the quality of their acai bowls are so good, and it IS a true mom and pop place, so I am a little forgiving about having to wait sometimes. I had put in a request to ensure the bowl was prepared vegan and the employee assured me it was, when picking it up. She was friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was small and cute, clean and well maintained. Parking was also very easy in their lot. The bowl I got consisted of purple rice, rice noodles, veggies, tofu and a tamarind vinaigrette with a satay glaze. The sauces were very savory and had a good blend of being spicy and sweet. Everything was so well seasoned and it was hearty and filling. I could really taste the freshness of everything and the textures were all on point! It was very reasonably priced for what I got!
