Came here for the first time today. The place is under new management. It's a cure little shop. Anything that you might need is there. Its like a one stop shop for not only snack needs but also for things you didn't think you'd need. The owner Richard is amazing. Super friendly and attentive. We stopped by to grab a bite to eat. They have a variety of cold cuts to choose from. We got the the turkey, bologna and pastrami sandwich ( all individual, I'm not sure how all 3 would taste together) and they were all amazing. They were very filling also. The price for the large sandwich was relatively inexpensive also. Having the deli in this store makes is easy to be able to grab chips and a drink of my choosing which is super convenient. read more

My husband and I stopped by for the first time yesterday, even though we have lived in Burbank for the last 14 years. I wish we would have stopped by this little gem sooner. This has to be the best Tri Tip sandwich I've ever had! All the ingredients are so fresh! The Tri tip was so flavorful and tender, the bread was delicious and so soft! The service was outstanding! Both men working there, were so welcoming and friendly. They have a nice selection of alcohol as well as other beverages and a few groceries items. This is a wonderful little deli and market apprx 3-blocks from Pavilions on the south side of Alameda. It carries basic groceries including eggs, milk, bread, beer/wine, and they also hand make submarine sandwiches to yr liking that are fresh and very tasteful and very reasonably priced. It's a family owned small business that's been in Burbank for 70 years! The owner's name is Richard and he's the sweetest guy around. This little market is such a needed alternative to the huge busy supermarkets. You literally park in front, get your goods and are out in minutes! No lines, no hassle in parking lot! **UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT** The new owner (Richard) has really turned this place around. I used to stop in after work to pick up some have nots because it's so close to my house. I had stopped going in as much because the inventory kept getting smaller and smaller, but they are back and better than ever. They are all stocked up, full shelves, full coolers, and full of things I didn't know I needed. They gave the shop a much-needed paint job and cleaned it from top to bottom. honestly, I'm so happy they are by my house now, because it saves me a grocery store trip from time to time. Well this isn't a Butcher Shop anymore, its a Deli/Carryout. It has one of the nicest owners around. Their sandwiches are huge, and cheap but it sucks when they are making one for someone else and you have to wait. Prices are just about right compared to other carryouts. A few things that take away from the 5 stars, the night time guy (short older guy) is always missing. You walk in and smell incense and no one is around. Sometimes I have waited like 5 mins for this dude to come out of the back room. Also, he is very very very slow.. I have been buying cigarettes from him for a year and he still acts like Camel Lights are something new. Never ask him to make you a sandwich either, unless you want to piss other shoppers off. He is so slow. Overall im glad this place is near me, just come during the day.. unless you like the feeling of being on a undercover camera show, because the dude that works nights cant be real. read more

I stopped in here on my way to Pasadena on a traffic-riddled Tuesday night. I was looking for something to eat before my 7pm meeting. A quick glance seemed to show the deli counter was closed, so I looked in the fridges for other options. The friendly owner of the shop noticed me looking around, and asked me if I wanted a sandwich. YES! YES, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! How did he know? So, he took my order and made me a delicious turkey sandwich at the speed of light. I have been stopping in this place since I moved to Burbank in February. The owner is extremely kind and goes out of his way to have a conversation which is hard to find these days. He is very caring; asking how the day has been etc. I finally decided to order a pastrami sandwich today and WOW it was excellent! The pastrami is seasoned perfectly and very delightful. We went in today and ordered 2 sandwiches and met Raul for the first time. HE WAS FANTASTIC! He was nice and the sandwiches tasted great. *** My favorite thing about our visit today, is that Raul bothered to wash his hands and put on gloves to make our food after ringing up a few other customer orders (sodas, chips, etc.). What a jerk! Today was the first (and last) time I stepped foot in here. I stopped in to check and buy lottery tickets. There was a man standing between the lotto machine and register. Had the pastrami and I will say, best pastrami in Burbank so far. Very tender and tasty, not dried out like most, fresh roll and best part the price $6.79. Today I stopped durning lunch break to buy lotto tickets at this location. I have bought tickets here in the past. The guy working was kind of mean not friendly, I walked in to the store he didn't say hello all he said was the Lotto machine is down, I said oh thats bad luck. Get your sandwich on at this place! Friendly, tasty and fast. I'm so glad I found this little hidden deli. Not a fancy place, it's really just a convenience store with a small sandwich deli in the back. If you are a connoisseur of fine cuisine... not your place. But the food is pretty fresh and hearty. I love little shops like this where you can watch them make your sandwich ie: "a little more mayo, that's enough cheese" etc. Others have commented about slow service but I believe that has changed. I think Jeff and Brittany are the only ones running the place right now and they both seem to be on the ball. And they are both VERY friendly. For me it doesn't get more convenient than this. In the evening on my way home I am speeding down Alameda toward the 5 frwy. If I'm hungry I just whip over to the curb in front of the shop, 3 steps and I'm inside chiming out to Brittany "make me a sandwich woman!" haha - she's cool. I was looking for something to eat nearby that wasn't too expensive and healthy also. I found this place, but it looked like a little run down liquor shop. Was looking for the deli but didn't know what to expect from a liquor store selling sandwiches. The employee was friendly and asked for my order. I said roast beef with everything on it. The had more than the normal veggies, lettuce, tomato and onion. They also had jalapenos, banana peppers, and pepperoncini, and bell peppers so I had to pick toppings individually. I ordered a roast beef sandwich wish was very good and tasty. The meat was FRESH AND TASTY and so were the vegetables. The large roast beef was a good-sized sandwich and was very reasonable for the price. If I'm ever in the area again, I know where to stop by. There's a small area to sit and eat, not the greatest set up for eating, but I was happy because I got a good reasonably priced sandwich that is comparable or even better than what I would have gotten at a Subway. read more
