I had put in a request to ensure the bowl was prepared vegan and the employee assured me it was, when picking it up. She was friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was small and cute, clean and well maintained. Parking was also very easy in their lot. The bowl I got consisted of purple rice, rice noodles, veggies, tofu and a tamarind vinaigrette with a satay glaze. The sauces were very savory and had a good blend of being spicy and sweet. So happy to find this place. It's a Asian fusion bowl kind of place. Ingredients are fresh and you can customize your bowl. What's even better is they are allergen conscious place. They have the allergen notations up on their menu board - gluten free/vegan/dairy free. For me who has gluten and dairy allergies/intolerances; I have to constantly manage what I eat. I don't have celiac so for all those my GF BFF's - please let the staff know if you have severe allergies. So from what they advised me, the following protein are gluten free: - chicken satay - steak satay - teriyaki meatball I will double check with the staff next time on the organic tofu - which part in the tofu that is not gluten free. I'd love to try their tofu if it's in fact gluten free. I had their meatball with the tamarind vinaigrette which is so delicious and fresh. I had it with half brown rice and half salad. Their brown rice is not the typical brown rice. It's more like purple-ish brown rice that you'd find in a korean restaurant which is delicious. The 2nd time I was there, they ran out of the meatball so I opted for the chicken satay and tried it with the curry sauce (which they said it's one of their most popular sauces). The curry sauce is not marked as dairy free but I tried it anyway. It's really savory and good and had a bit of kick of spice to it. Pick your base (rice, noodles, or greens) then sauces, the options for sauces are so good, I couldn't choose so I ordered more on the side (peanut sauce & fish sauce vinaigrette are my faves), then choose your proteins (chicken satay), & the garnishes where you can choose some or all (fresh mango slaw is a must!), then the toppings (crispy noodles). My friend and I ordered two chicken bowls and sat down to eat. After only two bites, on the third bite, I found a long hair inside my bowl. It was completely unacceptable and ruined our appetite immediately. We showed the bowl to the worker, and she took both bowls back. When we asked for a refund, the cashier said she didn't know how to process refunds and had to call the owner. We were told that the owner reversed the credit card charge and that we would be getting our money back. That was not true. Not only did we not eat the food, but we also never received our refund. Finding hair in food is bad enough, but lying to customers and keeping their money is even worse. This experience showed a lack of cleanliness, professionalism, and honesty. We wanted to try something new in Burbank and this place popped up. I LOVE a good, healthy salad with many options to choose from. Your base is either rice or salad or both. Then your protein is either meat or tofu. I wanted tofu, but I hated how it looked. It was large slices swimming in a lot of sauce. GROSS. Ended up picking the chicken and it was good. I wanted ALL THE INGREDIENTS so my salad was quite big. I also wanted ALL THE TOPPINGS. If you ask for extra toppings, yes, there is an extra charge. My other complaint besides the ugly looking tofu is the dressing. You have many to choose from. I decided to pick the spiciest one and it was quite good. My complaint is I don't really like to have the dressing between my salad and protein because the dressing doesn't get mixed in with the other ingredients. I think they should put the dressing towards the end and mix it afterwards like the way Sweet Green does it. I guess another option would be to have the dressing on the side... but I really don't prefer it that way. Oh well, I still enjoyed my dinner and was totally full afterwards. I got the half rice noodles and half lettuce, topped with the red curry sauce and satay glaze, along with the chicken satay and most of the other toppings. My bowl was filled HIGH. Yet, it felt like such a healthy meal and I left still feeling really satisfied. This works great as leftovers too!! Their sauces are delicious, hard to chose which one to get. My favorite protein is the steak satay. (The chicken satay is good too.) I normally get jasmine rice , steak or chicken satay, the peanut sauce and top it off with lots of delicious sides. 21 days later I return and once again it was incredible flavor. I feel extremely lucky to eat this meal today. 1st thing I get is the purple rice. Peanut sauce is so tasty and filling. I went with the chicken with mago slaw, double scoop of grilled veggies, finally a little bit of pico. Customer service wasn't what I remembered. The two woman made no eye contact and no personality was shown. I felt rushed even though I knew what I wanted. I brought my niece to get food and spoke to her very positive about this place but she said the cashier and server gave off bad vibes and she changed her mind. TAP! What an interesting name. It stands for the Asian project. Very interesting as I didn't find much of anything Asian inside. Inside, it is cool, the air conditioning is great especially in the summer. The parking outside is big and shouldn't be tough to find any unavailable spots. The service was just okay, the workers inside seemed annoyed when me and my friends came in to get our food. The food is similar to the style of chipotle. You order specific foods to put into a bowl and they charge you extra if you want another protein or other side like extra rice or what have you. Anyway, I ordered a steak cutlet that was sliced into square pieces with some lettuce, other greens and a peanut sauce that was very sweet. The food if on the low calorie, healthy side, so I figured I'd try it out. The food however, is not filling! After I had my meal, I craved for way more and the price of the bowl I got was about $10.00. I really didn't want to go back in line to get more and pay an extra $10.00, but I felt like it didn't fill me up all the way. Other pictures of the menu will be shown thru pictures as that is how you'll get a better idea of what you want. Moreover, there are bathrooms, WiFi and long wooden tables inside. There were only two tables but they panned out most of the place. I didn't like the set up and would prefer individual tables as an alternative. The seats were also incredibly uncomfortable. Maybe I just have a bad back, but they didn't even have a back rest. It was a rusty stool! Another note: when ordering our food. There weren't any labels for the choices to make your customizable bowl, so you have to just point to what you want outside of the glass that's covering the bins. Overall, although the food tasted good, there wasn't that much of it. Think of the food as the same size of a small poke bowl. We all can agree that that size is not filling, so expect that. The quality however, was quite good. Not sure if it is worth the $10.00 for what I paid for not including tax, but it was different. The great thing is that it is low calorie and healthy. TL;DR. Second time here and it's been a good experience. The shop is located inside a plaza right next to Starbucks. There are plenty of parking but it can get a little crazy on that side of the parking lot. You can get locked in since the Starbucks drive through lane is on the same side. When entering the shop you pick your base,sauce , protein and sides. I personally like the purple rice, with chicken, with peanut sauce. I highly recommend the peanut sauce. The reason why I removed a star was the presentation. They stack the sides all together. But overall, the taste is great. read more

I'm really picky about rice noodles because sometimes they get hard and gross when they're cold but it was so tasty here! I customized my bowl with satay sauce and half satay chicken and half teriyaki meatballs. They let me do half and half meat too! The meatballs were really good probably my favorite but the chicken was also good too. It wasn't dry as I thought it would be. I topped my bowl off with salad, grilled veggies, and corn. I ordered a bowl which consisted of the following: -Jasmine rice for the base -5 spiced braised beef as my protein -Hot curry red sauce -Mango slaw, curried corn and bean sprouts -and topped it off with everything crunchy and spicy Everything was great, delicious and filling. Pretty good customizable Asian bowl place. We were in the same complex getting Starbucks and it was almost lunch time. We had just gone on a hike with our doggies nearby, so after I got our coffees, my husband went in here to get us some lunch bowls. I told him to get me what he thought I'd like. I like that you can customize your bowls, chipotle style. My husband got me half noodles, half salad with half meatballs - I think this was this Vietnamese pork - nem nhuong, and half chicken. The only thing I didn't like was the sauce, which was the curry and had coconut. I enjoy curry but not the thai curry because of the coconut. Other than that - everything was excellent.
