Hugely disappointed after hearing so many good things about their ribeye and pastrami burger. The food ended up being bland, overly salty, cold, and honestly nowhere near worth the price. We came on a weekend for brunch and they had already run out of menus at the front, so people in line were just standing there trying to figure out what to order with nothing to look at beforehand. The tables took a long time to be cleaned. Parking: Metered parking on the main street, but there's free parking at the garage near the AMC. Food: We got the Chilaquiles and Ribeye, Pastrami Burger, and two coffees, which was $72. For that price, I expected the food to have good flavor and quality. The coffee tasted super watered down, the pastrami burger was way too salty, and the fries came out cold. The ribeye was honestly the biggest disappointment. After hearing it was "the best ribeye around," I had high hopes and ordered it medium rare, excited to try it. The ribeye turned out to be a really small, thin cut of meat that was overcooked and tasted pretty cheap compared to how it's hyped up online. The chilaquiles were bland and soggy, and the beans were too. The whole meal just felt really underwhelming for the price. Service: Pretty minimal and slow. You order at the counter, grab a number, and they eventually bring the food out. Nobody checked in on us. Overall, Wild Carvery felt way overhyped from all the online reels and food posts. With mostly indoor seating, they do have a few tables outside and it's pretty good people watching. I love wild carvery. It's probably one of my top fave lunch places in Burbank. Though sandwiches are like $18ish+, I will say their portion size is big enough to justify the cost. I usually eat only half a sandwich and take the other half home for lunch the next day. I also think their chips are delicious!!! I'm a fan of their turkey club sandwich! Ok ok. I have to give this to place some love. I've had a handful of friends tell me I NEED to try this place. Went to the winter wine walk and had a stop here. They had samples of chips and lobster pasta. This did not disappoint. The best chip I've ever had. They are fresh. Literally people chipping the potatoes in the back. And the lobster pasta . So good. From the kindness of Sam, the amazing woman at the register who helped us navigate the menu to the cool easy going yet modern layout and decor, both patio style as well as indoor. I'm truly grateful to stop in and enjoy a lunch time mini feast. A lot of the times in the past they had reduced hours or were closed like on Sunday and Mondays when I typically am in the area so I would luck out - but when bae asked where we should go to eat in Burbank it was 100% time for the Wild Carvery. Their menu is extensive, but not overwhelming with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner time variety. W.C. has vegetarian, vegan and even gluten free options that are all highly regarded. For vegan friendly breakfast you can have at their Avocado Toast served with fresh fruit. The vegetarian options are abundant including Chilaquiles, Eggs Florentine, Egg and Cheese Omelette and French Toast (Tres Leches, Fruit topped - strawberry plus banana or Nutella). The lunch til close menu features their Organic Vegan Burger and Impossible Vegan Burger #BurgerBeatFun - but my first time in I was in a wrap style mood so I asked and they made it! Wanted to try this place for a while now and it didn't disappoint. We went to have brunch on Sunday and I was craving French toast. I ordered the regular French toast with the strawberries and bananas on the side. I also ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. The French toast was so delicious nice and fluffy! After watching many videos on social media about this place, finally decided to make my way there. Did my usual Yelp picture scrolling to see what looked appetizing from customers and I had a few items in mind before getting to the restaurant. Went right after lunch time so it wasn't packed and it's a weekday. Service was good, nothing out of the expected. Location is small but they do have outdoor seating too so it's an about preference there. I decided to go with the pastrami burger and as that seemed the most appealing to me. Mind you, I came in great expectations as all these influencers and food reviewers had been raving about this restaurant. The excitement and anticipation didn't last very long after getting my order. I don't want to trash the restaurant or the cook for the day, so I'll try and not be overly cruel but I have to be honest about my experience. This was by far one of the worst burgers I've had in a long time. The bun was dry, it was overly salted (and my salt tolerance is pretty good), the meat was supposed to be cooked to medium and it came out beyond well done. Neither the pastrami nor the bacon saved the burger, the cheese was already solidifying by the time it got to me. The only reason I managed to get most of it down was because I added Cholula to my ranch sauce. Maybe it was a bad day, cause I have a close friend who had a positive review of the same burger. I wasn't going to cause a scene with all of the customers around and I know that cooks/chefs get offended when food items get sent back but in retrospect, I should have sent it back because I did not enjoy that. And at $30 for the plate, definitely not worth it. My sister did enjoy her shrimp salad, so it wasn't all bad but I don't eat seafood so I didn't even try it. I wanted to love this place, I wanted to enjoy it, sadly I did not. I can try and chalk it up as a bad day on one item, just don't know if I would go back honestly. Came here again a couple weeks ago for their special breakfast and the chefs were not very considerate when it came to my girlfriends wheat allergy. She really wanted the chilaquiles and they said they're not gluten free. We asked what ingredient has wheat and the lady cook kept giving weird answers that didn't make sense to us. Contacted the manger afterward and they said it can be made gluten free. I mentioned how the cooks were being dismissive of our questions but didn't receive a reply after their first response. The staff are super friendly and very helpful with answering questions & helping out customers anyway they can. I had the BBQ Chicken sandwich, which can be a hit or miss at most restaurants. I can honestly say cheeseburger was one of the best ones I had in a while. It was so good. Potato chips were amazing. They tasted fresh and were not greasy at all. Salad was great too.
