We just donated an old van to KBCS-FM, the Bellevue College radio station. They use Pick-n-Pull to tow donated vehicles away. I found the woman I talked to over the phone to set up the pick-up appointment friendly and professional. I was given all the info and instructions I needed. Tomy, the tow truck driver who arrived at our house this morning, was awesome. Extremely personable and friendly. In fact, his voice and phone manner set the tone when he first called to notify us that he was on his way with an ETA. Based on Tomy's personality and professionalism alone I'd recommend Pick-n-Pull, at least for the towing service. read more

They deleted my Google review, but I still want people to be aware of my experience. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Communication was terrible from start to finish. We were told they would arrive between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, but we never received a single update. When we finally called to ask what was going on, the representative was rude and hostile instead of apologetic. We were eventually told they would be about 30 minutes late. We have schedules and responsibilities. we can't just sit around waiting all day. The person selling the car even came back to make sure she was there, but when the driver arrived, he left without even waiting two minutes. It's frustrating that they expect customers to wait for hours, yet they couldn't extend the same courtesy. On top of that, when I called, I was left on hold waiting to speak with someone even though I was the only caller in the queue. Overall, this business wasted our time, communicated poorly, and treated us with very little respect. I would not recommend doing business with them. I hope they seriously improve their customer service because the way they treated us was unacceptable. They shouldn't even have a business when they clearly don't know how to run it. read more

This was my first time at this particular Pick-N-Pull, although I've visited many others, and it was a terrible experience, to say the least. The employee at the front desk (tall, Caucasian, beard) treated me like I was scum the entire time I was there. At one point, I even asked if he was having a bad day, but he brushed it off and continued with the same attitude. I honestly don't expect much from customer service--just basic respect. There's no need to be overly friendly or even smile. Just treat customers like human beings. I'm sure you occasionally deal with specific difficult people, but not everyone walking through the door fits that stereotype. Some of us are just regular people working on project cars and looking for parts. Unfortunately, my experience made me feel unwelcome, and that's not how customers should be treated. read more

Everything you need to know about this place: The yard closes 30 minutes before the office/store. You will not be allowed into the yard and will be kicked out if you are in the yard within 30 minutes of closing. I've been frequenting this location for a few years now and I've come to the point that it's not worth it to go. They increased the entrance fee to $3, regardless if you're a rewards member or not. They do not check parts inventory for you. If you're looking for a specific part on a car, they can only tell you if the car is still on the lot. it's a gamble if the part is still there when you arrive. Check their inventory on their website, it's a lot faster and tells you exactly where the cars are. DO NOT bring in your own parts into the yard, they WILL charge you for the parts when you're leaving. So if you don't want to pay for your own parts, leave them at home or expect to have to throw them away. When you're checking out, they charge you close to a 10% "environmental fee", and then sales tax ON TOP of the fee, meaning the "environmental fee" gets classified as a purchase and you're paying tax on it. So close to 20% tax on any parts here. They also charge a core charge on some items, which is the only thing they will give you a cash refund for. If they don't mark the items with a paint marker good luck with any returns. If you do return something, don't expect to get cash back, they only offer store credit. If you lose the receipt with the store credit authorization, you lost your money. Staff members are overworked and look like they're on the verge of burning out. They deal with crazy people day in and day out, so don't expect them to be super nice to you. read more

The prices are a bit high on some parts and are within the range of new, others are great deals, just depends. Try to go when they have sales, the lines can be slow on a busy day. Bring your own tools, but be selective and as you may need to carry that heavy bag a ways to and from the vehicle you need. Overall this place is a lifesaver! Quick tip, the only things I would not buy at any junk yard is automatic transmissions unless it's for a rebuildable core. And tires, unless it's for a trunk spare a lot of used tires are expired and unsafe. If you can afford it please buy the best tires you can, your life depends on it!! read more

Admission to the yard costs $2 a person and you bring your own tools to claim your prizes. The prices of the items and parts are negotiable and there is a general evaluation of costs based on the item. While there are American and import cars don't expect to see any luxury brand cars such as Lambos and Porsches. While you can go through the rows of cars and try and pinpoint your loot a lot of the people here have regular that they contact immediately once a car comes into the yard. This was my first experience with pick n pull. Purchased a gauge cluster because I needed an "f" air core motor for my fuel gauge. The motor seemed fine until I installed It into my cluster, and it failed. Put everything back together and tried to return it. They couldn't give me my money back because there were no paint marks on it, and the guy that rang me up has, I guess, never made a single mistake in his entire life. So I have now paid Pick n pull $56 for absolutely nothing. I am not of the opinion that the customer is always right, but when I have a gauge cluster, that's clearly old, and a receipt that says that I bought the old gauge cluster, give me my money back please. Thursday August 17, 2023 11:40 am So I called to check on a part, a motor for my Jeep, Lady tells me she only have one jeep, it's the year and make, come on down, so I get there and I had to pay to go in, $3 for nonmembers, ok so I paid it and ask where this one jeep is at and off I go.. It's not very organized where all the Fords would all be together, etc/etc ... It's all domestic are kinda bunch together, all the imports are kinda bunch together etc/etc... Well I found this one jeep they had but the part I wanted, it was already gone.. So it was a waste of time !!! So I might as well check and see what else they have, its a good mix of cars/ trucks/ suv's and I walked the whole thing ... Then I found a jeep with the imports, WTF !!! Wrong year but whatever... Then I found this battery bracket, so I put it in my tool bag, im thinking it's worth a few bucks to me... I go back and tell the lady, hey that part that I wanted, its already missing, her answer was, oh to bad !!! So i asked for a refund and she said, no refunds, again you told me you had the part and that's the reason I drove down here... she didn't care... So I was about to leave mad and remembered about that bracket, I pulled it out, thinking maybe she'll just tell me, go ahead keep it for your troubles... She tells me, $7.50 (???) And I looked at her and said, you already rip me off for the entrance fee, now you want $7 bucks for this ? I'll give you $5 bucks for it, she said NO, so I left it and walked away ... I dont recommend this place at all, they're nothing but a bunch of money hungry bastards ! Needed to scrap a vehicle. Hate dealing with the lowlives involved with the car business, just don't have the patience so I gave it a try and came up empty handed. Spoke to some jive online company who claimed they could get me 500 for my acura as scrap, spoke to them on the phone for about a half hour getting all my info there. Was told to be ready the next week between 12-4. Got a call from some junkie tow truck driver, probably high on meth at the time, asking for a photo of the title. I sent it to him and he said he couldn't take it because it had a tear and I needed further paperwork. The lady at dmv scoffed at the "damage" and told me it wasn't necessary to replace the title with another form, did anyways, but still had to reschedule. So, i did, that wed I waited around and when I went for a short drive some new moron calls, leaves a message and says that I had to reschedule because they couldn't get ahold of me. I called him back in less than ten minutes and no answer. I just gave the car away to someone else for free. As I said, I hate dealing with lowlives and I don't even know if these jackasses would have ever showed up much less paid me what was quoted without some BS. I sold my car to pick-n-pull for their cash for junk cars thing they offer. Just to get rid of my useless car. However they were so rude. First Lady I talked to on the phone was really nice and patient. If I'm honest the people on the phone were nicer than those who work on site. I came to the location in Lakewood and the First Lady I talked to when I got to the place she was pretty kind and directed me on the right place to make my sale the lady for sales was a complete ass. Just straight up rude. Would I sell to pick-n-pull again HELL NO. I don't want to deal with the complication and to just waste my time. This place is great!!! I called yesterday to see if they had the vehicle I was looking for in their yard. The woman who answered the phone(Connie) was very nice and helpful and was able to find at least seven different vehicles that would suit my needs. I went in today and went up to the front desk and asked where I could find said vehicles. The employee printed out a receipt with each vehicle and row number I could locate them at. What a huge help!!! I like order and that level of organization is paramount to me. Went in, located the vehicle, removed my part needed, paid and left. No issues, gripes, or complaints from me! I was in a roll over collision on the January 26th, 2020, and I did everything the representative from their 1-800 # requested. I paid for my vehicle to be outside of Gene's Towing on Monday, 27th, between 08-12; though I was in much pain. I get a call later from Gene's towing that my car was never picked up by Pick-n-Pull. Since I felt much better the day after, and back to work, I called the 1-800 # around 1pm. A male representative stated the car wasn't picked up because I paid to have it outside of Gene's towing after 8am on the 27th. I called again for another question, then a female representative stated my car wasn't picked up because I didn't answer my phone. All I saw were two "potentially spam" calls on my phone on the 27th. I did not pick up. And, I thought everything was taken care of so I didn't need to pick up anyway. Furthermore, there were no voice mails left. If there were, then I'd see that it was a Pick-n-Pull tow representative calling. Now, my car must remain at Gene's towing where I have to pay another $300 (approximate) until Friday when the next available pick up arrives. I chose Pick-n-Pull because they had a great reputation and the Tacoma location I'm familiar with and received good customer service in the past when I was looking for parts. But, to put the blame on me, because I didn't answer the phone, and there was no voicemail, is not an excuse I can accept. And the female representative made it sound like it was all my fault. Furthermore, I know my record in Pick-n-Pull states that I was in a roll over accident. Give a guy some sympathy! Now I have to pay more to keep my car at Gene's towing. I know Pick and Pull is better than this. Later, a Pick-n-Pull representative helped me get my car earlier, but it was after he/she read the complaint above. On another note, Gene's Towing was terrible as well (in another review). So, don't use Pick-n-Pull to junk your car if you are ever in an accident because being kind and respectful to them (their 1-800 # that is) doesn't matter. They don't care if you could have died. They'll help you only after you send them a complaint about their unprofessional service. read more

That being said, interactions with the staff are fairly short as long as you have an idea of what you're looking for. They post their inventory of vehicles online but I'm not sure how often they update it, so you're better off calling ahead or checking it out in person. Keep in mind they also have pricing guides for specific parts online but they don't keep inventory of those parts- so you won't know what has already been removed from the vehicle(s). Be sure to bring a toolbox and gloves. Carjacks and blowtorches are not allowed. read more

My fiancé set up a time and date for pickup of a car in my name, had verification for that, and said he was told that I needed to call in to give my drivers license and title information. Reasonable. 1st representative was rude and egotistical in clarifying things I didn't understand, but told me I was missing the Offer ID. I said I would retrieve it from my fiancé's email and call back shortly. 2nd representative was more patient initially, but then proceeded to tell me there was no appointment scheduled even though we had proof of such an arrangement. Then confused me about wording of location because again, I did not set up this pick-up, was just told to call in and give information. Ultimately ending with her saying that Pick-N-Pull had no prior appointment with us, would not pick up at the location, and gave me a number of the 3rd party company they work with, told me she wouldn't want to "waste my time" and hung up on me. I'm not too sure what happened with the 3rd representative as my fiancé was the one to call in that time, although he did say he received the same attitude. Terrible experience all around. read more

We are trying to donate a car for our local public radio station. This is the company that is supposed to do the pick up. I call to schedule it. My last name has changed from the title, so even though it's just a hyphenated version, I was told the driver wouldn't pick it up with that. The woman I spoke with said both of us would need to come in and do name verification paperwork. Fine, more complications, but it's a good cause. She gave me the address and the hours and I wrote the information down. Mon-Sat 8-4. My husband works a lot so getting to the business takes advance planning. He comes home very close to 4 on Wed, so we're too late to come. We agree to get up and go at 8am today, Thursday. SURPRISE, we get there at 805, the doors are locked and all employees ignore us. My husband goes to speak with a driver outside and a blond woman comes out and tells him we are in the wrong building (it's on the other side of the several Pick and pull buildings), we have the hours wrong and "he needs to read the fine print" She tells him the hours are 9-430. There's no way we can wait. It's 815 and my husband already agreed to start late and needs to go to Seattle. That's now two days we've wasted trying to get this paperwork done and haven't been able to due to wrong information. We agreed to try on Saturday. My husband double checks and the hours are 8-5 on Saturday, supposedly. That's now 3 different hours we've been told. What kind of incompetent people do not know the business hours? I'm trying to make a donation and it's ending up costing both of us in time and frustration. read more

Horrible company with very poor costumer service. My brother and I went in to buy a couple parts and this worker kept on adding extra prices on things and switching up what they are to make the most money from all the items. A wing on a civic has a built in light she tried to add an extra $30. A license plate holder is $2.50 but she charged us double that. we told her how upset we were and wanted to talk to a manager but she told us she was the manager. We left the place. We then came back about 10 days later paid to get in pulled a few parts we needed again we see this same female on the way out she told us we are not allowed in there and we need to leave. We where never told this before about not being allowed on the property. Waste of two hours of are time stole $4 of are money and trying to get in contact with there boss is impossible so far. I will never buy from another picknpull place ever and plan on taking them to civil court for my time and the $4 plus harassment. read more

Not only was the tow driver unhelpful with my misunderstanding, the woman over the phone wanted to sit on her high horse the entire time instead of trying to help me as well. Saying "They have a long route and paperwork is not their job" is just about as unhelpful as it gets. "And there are many problems" meanwhile I told her I was learning more from her than I was from the driver and she still wanted to have an attitude. I understand paperwork isn't their job, but because they didn't take my car, and this is what they specialize in, he could have helped me since the job was supposed to take longer. I was told to call back the next day. I called back the next day and was treated very rudely on the phone. The women who answered basically told me that she did not care and she would not have anyone go look. They don't have an inventory system even though their parts are as much as or more than near by yards with an inventory system. They also have hidden fees which include a $2.00 entry fee, core charges on parts that just go into a bin to be recycled, and an environmental charge on all purchases. read more
