I asked him if the customer service desk was open and he was really rude. Since the remodel to a Pick 'n Save, the store is much more organized, cleaner and nicer to shop in. The layout of the store is very spacious, and each section of the store has all the items laid out in a way that's very visually appealing. This store in Fitchburg used to be the closest grocery store, and sometimes it was a challenge trying to figure out what was the best way to get into this shopping complex, as there's a few ways to loop around the place but it's not the easiest. Overall, on par with most of the other Pick 'n Saves around the Madison/Fitchburg area. Worth checking it out for the occasional weekly grocery run and definitely check out some of the seasonal items. We bought our Halloween candy stash here to be handed out today to all the kids that swing by to Trick or Treat! read more

I have been shopping at this location since it opened. Recently my experiences have been getting worse and worse. I wanted to get a few things at the deli and was told "it's going to be a while " so I told the woman working I'd come back. I finished the rest of my shopping , went back and was told "it's going to be a while". Finally after about 20 minutes waiting with 3 other customers I received my 2 lbs of salads and 2 lbs of lunch meat. The prices just keep going up while the quality control and customer service keep going down down down. read more

Dirty, slow check out with few workers, sometimes the store shelves are empty. Very poorly managed! The produce manager does a great job. Produce area is clean, organized, produce fresh. When are they going to update this location and bring in hard working managers. Kudos to the two reliable old ladies at checkout who always show up to the job. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have never seen such a poorly run store. Over one week ago, we went to find that the meat department coolers and the freezers were out of commission for some reason and were all blocked off. Went in again today. Guess what? The same condition exists. So all meat was in coolers and the freezers were down STILL. I have never...not once...gone into that store when it was fully stocked. I can simply never get everything on my list. Absolutely the worst-run store on the planet. Shame on Pick'n Save and Kroger for such bad management! read more

This grocery store commands a monopoly on the East side of Fitchburg. Unfortunately, they do not have small grocery totes for use at the door when you walk in. I stopped in today, to grab five items, and as usual, it was no basket to carry to put my groceries in. Unbelievably rude, obnoxious employees. What on EARTH has happened to this store? Last Friday I stopped in to get a few things and witnessed the female bagger harassing the checker, a long-time employee. I felt embarrassed for her and myself. Today, my elderly mother and son went to this same store and heard an employee screaming at a coworker that she was 'sick of your shit.' The store in Fitchburg should be shut down it is filthy I went this morning and they had water on the floor leaking from all the coolers meat, cheese coolers no signs out warning customers and nobody working on it I asked if the food was safe and they said its old coolers good luck buyers. Also watch out the older lady who stands guard at the self checkout yelled at me because the machine was beeping and I walked away without taking my receipt. Just left this location following a horrible experience. After waiting for an ID check on the bottle of wine I was purchasing for Thanksgiving, an employee gave me a "really" when I appeared frustrated. I didn't appreciate being given attitude because I was frustrated that the service was subpar or that I was purchasing alcohol at 8am. I happened to be in the store for another item and wanted to grab the wine last minute. I felt judged and frankly consider the whole experience unacceptable. I also don't understand being forced to use self check out in these situations. It would clearly be easier if I have an item like alcohol that requires additional assistance to simply be able to use a regular checkout. This experience on top of never being able to find what I need is moving this store to the bottom of the list. I'd rather go to Woodman's and that's 20 min away. read more

Curbside pickup is actually very good although you have to plan a day ahead. Thought I would give their delivery service a try, definitely a mistake. I only ordered a few things and was willing to pay the almost $10 for the delivery fee only to receive items I did not order. I indicated that I did not want substitution for items if they were not available. I received no notification that the items I wanted were not available. So I can only assume that whoever did the shopping on my behalf was not able to read product labels. These were common, not high demand products and as a previous regular pre-covid pick and save customer know that these items are available. I don't know who does their delivery service customer shopping but don't waste your money on the delivery service you will be disappointed and there's nothing you can do about exchanging incorrect food tems. read more

Spent ten minutes at the Service Desk waiting for help. No sign saying they were unavailable. Why have a service desk if you don't have it staffed during business hours? This is why people are buying groceries online now, so they don't have to wait. And who can blame them when your store can't even make customer service a priority. read more

One of my favorite things to get at the Pick 'n Save in Monona is their fried chicken at the deli. Now, I'm sure you're wondering why I mention the Monona one while on the Fitchburg page...well... Every time I have gotten chicken from the Fitchburg Pick 'n Save it has been burned. EVERY TIME. You'd think they'd learn to take it out of the fryer earlier or not leave it under the heat lamps so long, but no, they continue to burn their chicken. It is disgusting. It is worth the time to go to the Monona store to get better deli food. read more

Thank you to Belinda who helped us deal with a broken glass jar mishap. We had packed a plastic bag in self-serve area with too much weight (forgot our canvas bags today!). The handle on the plastic bag gave way right after picking it up. Belinda was nearby and assured us she would return quickly with clean up assistance. Within no time at all (30 seconds tops?), she had returned with clean up supplies and a co-worker (sorry I missed his name) who readily cleaned up the salsa and glass. Also, she assured us we could go get another jar of salsa, compliments of Pick 'n' Save, as well as suggesting we use double bags or multiple bags to spread out weight, in the future. This store is amazing they have done a lot to increase their fresh produce selection and have quality meats but the prices are amazing . I used to go to Woodmans and now I never go there. The staff here is super friendly as well. They are super helpful and I like seeing people from all different backgrounds ages and ethnicity it reflects the neighborhood . This store is so clean you could eat off the floors including the wonderful restrooms and drinking fountains in the back which are easy to find and access . read more

I'm not usually one to write bad reviews, I honestly don't often review things but I had to with this one. I used to come here often, every time I needed to go grocery shopping I went to this store. It used to be so much better. When they check you out the staff often doesn't even greet you, not even a "hello" or ask me if I want paper or plastic, they just go automatically for plastic. The produce sucks, nothing is fresh. Bought spoiled chicken the other day. If you need a refund or special help you'll stand at the counter for a good 10-15 minutes before they even acknowledge you. I just joked with my friend that they don't have bad customer service, they just don't service you. I go to Hyvee now: friendly service, fresh produce. So much better. read more

Corn in the produce section was rotten and a soda brand there was like a dollar 30 more a bottle and at Woodmans it is 89 cents. If Wisconsin saves on groceries at Pick 'n Save they must get free groceries at Woodmans. Don't call yourself saving on groceries when there are stores right by you that have the same exact products for cheaper!!!!!!!!! read more

I've been going to this store for some time (I think I might be a masochist) and I've had zero positive experiences. Do not go here, you are asking for disappointment, period. Either they are severely under-stocking basic items or are simply not ordering these items. A clear example that I recently experienced: I purchased their most basic electric toothbrush from their aisle with toothbrushes. It needs replacement heads. When I went back to the same store to buy said replacement heads, they simply do not have the heads because they are not being ordered. Every other electric toothbrush they sell had replacement heads when I went in there today, except this one (which they are still selling as of 10/15/2019). These heads are never out of stock on Amazon and are in every other store I've ever gone into that sells this specific toothbrush. read more

The employees here are curt, borderline surly. It's fantastic. The perfect checkout experience is the one with the most minimal interaction, maximizing efficiency by minimizing excess conversation. I don't want to wait in line listening to the person behind the counter telling his or her life story when they should be scanning barcodes as rapidly as possible. When I go to this Pick n Save, I know that the employees and I share an equal indifference for each other, wanting only to get me out of the store with my groceries. 10/10 read more
