I don't know why this place has such low reviews, but here is my take. This is good, fresh "Chinese take out". Pros- *Can call in your order *Has a cheaper lunch menu with good portions. *They bring your order to your seat with plates and plastic utensils. *Open kitchen so you know they are not messing with your food. *The place is clean and staff is friendly. Cons- *Maybe it's not "Authentic".(Can't think of anything else) ** To the chick that ordered a kids meal, I am not a genius but kids meals typically have small portions. I like this Pick Up Stix. The customers service is always good, the orders are always right, and the food is always great. The place is always kept clean as well. I ordered for this review the crispy honey chicken with brown rice and the kung pao chicken. Both entrees were well prepared and yummy. The crispy honey chicken was, like it says, crispy on the outside and moist in the center. I would of preferred my kung pao a little more spicier than it came, so next time I will be sure to ask for extra spice! The meal was very good and well priced. read more

Kinda bummed. I chose pick up sticks for dinner because they had gluten-free options. I ordered the bourbon chicken and my daughter ordered the chicken and vegetables. When I got the order home , it was hot and freshly cooked. My first bite was disappointing because it was fatty. I thought it was just my order but then my daughter told me her chicken and vegetable dish was fatty also. Wish it was better with good cuts of meat... What a bummer. read more

I have had a few unpleasant experiences with the food at this Pick up Stix location in the past and haven't eaten here in over a year now, until yesterday. My friend and I went in at about 11:30 for lunch. I ordered a teriyaki bowl with brown rice and house special chicken. She ordered the same bowl with veggies. The sauce was so sweet that we could both just barely eat it. She tried to put extra soy sauce on hers, but it didn't help. In addition, my chicken was so overdone and dry (even though it had plenty of syrupy sauce to "soften" it up), I could barely chew it. And the rice was not cooked enough, it was hard. I ordered Uber eats from here tonight and after placing my order realized that the fried rice might have dairy. (I am allergic) I called and spoke with a nice woman who looked into it and let me know that the allergen guide said yes but that she was not sure as they use oil in the wok. Anyway, I told her no worries and that I would just not eat it. Well, when my food got here she had put a free container of white rice in with a note that saying just in case. I came in today for chow mien and orange chicken. The cashier was very nice and friendly. Probably the nicest I've seen in a while. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. I took a star because there was barely any chicken and whatever was there was drowning in sauce. Not to mention that there was more orange and those crunchy things (not sure what they're called, lol). The chow mien was just not good. Good food, management is very good , my girlfriend and I came in around 4 (after the time you get wontons with your meal but we didn't know) we asked where they were and the lady said very politely that it was passed the time they were served in the combo. We said okay and she walked away. A couple minutes later one of the gentleman brought us some and apologized for the miscommunication. Small but a very nice thing to do. Well this used to be our favorite place to eat...my husband called our order in...I went and picked it up and brought it home...our fried rice wasn't fried but burnt...as in couldn't eat... There is no such thing as 'environmentally friendly' waste when it is unnecessary. I have no problem with take out, but using it in store is simply unacceptable. Whether is decomposes - the friendly part - is not the issue. The amount of resources - trees etc - used to produce the products is the wasteful issue. In Germany, for example, even at fair or other event where people pickup food, actual plates, flat wear, and glasses/cups are used. You pay a deposit that you get back when you return them. Works great. We need to change our ways. read more

This place has good Asian food. Service was good as well with an easy menu to order from. However, I went in for dinner and it was a bit pricey for my tastes and for what you can get elsewhere. They do specials on lunch combos till about 3PM which I think makes the food well worth it. So I would say this would primarily be a great lunch spot. read more

Arrived 20 minutes after ordering and had to wait an additional 20 minutes for food to be cooked. I always try more than once but 2 times in a row this has happened. The management really makes this work. The food is prepared well, the establishment is clean and neat, and the employees are personable and polite (another reflection on the manager). A nice place for fast-ish food. I like being texted with specials and can order ahead to save time. I've not been to other Pick up Stix so I don't know if this is the norm. My boyfriend and I just visited today and I have got to say that the customer service was beyond what I would have expected from any fast food place. They were very helpful, very nice, and very professional. The food was amazing! They even let us have free samples of different things on the menu because it was our first time there! I used to really like this place until I tasted Panda Express. What a difference. Today at the Fletcher Ply. I wanted some Orange Chicken, no taste and very tough. I also got what they call Chow Mein, nothing but pasty noodles, no vegetables. One small carton of each for $11 .I had to pay $2 extra for the noodles instead of the rice that came with it. Pick-Up-Stix isn't a bad place, and I used to go there when I was younger and just crave the stuff. I've been in Japan for the last few years, so I don't doubt that that has screwed with my objectivity in a big way, but I just wasn't hugely impressed with Pick-Up-Stix when I got back. It seemed greasy and not too flavorful. However, my main complaint is the rice. It was just awful. Dry and clumpy and almost jagged. It looked like they'd run it through a shredder before cooking it. It was just not up to par in the least. My advice: request brown rice! I had it another time and it was better, and it's better for you at any rate. I recommend the lunch specials as the portions are more reasonable and you get a little salad. All in all, it's not a bad place, just nothing special. The House Special Chicken is pretty respectable, as is the Cashew Chicken. It's worth a try if you're hungry for a quick Asian-style lunch, though honestly Mandarin Chef in the same shopping center is wayyyy better and much more authentic. read more
